I don't generally read books while I'm on Gaia, but with four minutes in between actions during this event, I've just found myself looking for my 1936 edition of Sons.
So: How's the event, what do you think of the waiting period, and what are you reading/doing while you wait? Also, how about this storyline?

I am not reading books right now, but I am catching up on reading the posts at a Final Fantasy message board I help to moderate. I'm making plans to meet with an old friend there at an upcoming anime convention.
I'll be reading more over the weekend when I have less stress from work to distract me from books.

I've been looking up stuff on youtube and right now I'm eating since I woke up like fifteen minutes ago. Four minutes seems like a long time I think they should have made it a little shorter for the shops since there's eight items instead of the two you get from gift giving.

I've been surfing around and playing Final Fantasy between each action. Carolling in shops is driving me crazy, but not as much as in towns.

What gifts does one receive for caroling in the towns?
I have recently finished obtaining all the presents for caroling in the shops, and assisting the two Santas.

You've probably found your answer elsewhere by now, but you get the same presents from caroling in towns as you do in the shops.

Right now, I'm reading Eragon. The other day my friends wanted to see the movie and it was not as bad as some people say it is. (I thought it needed to be a little longer considering the length of the book.)
Anyways, the book is much, much more in depth than the movie mrgreen

You obviously have more self-control than I do. Between all my friends and family I accumulate that much in gift cards and have it all spent before New Year's.

I have a $25 gift card for Borders, and another for Barnes & Noble. I'm not sure what I wish to purchase with them though.... I got all the books that I wanted and more. Fairgrass You've probably found your answer elsewhere by now, but you get the same presents from caroling in towns as you do in the shops. No worries then. wink

Hmm, I used to be an insane event-goer, however this year I'm not too into it. Probably because I lost my main account in october, and I'm not as much of a die-hard gaia fanatic as I used to be. Dx
Hmm, but while I busied myself getting an item or two the other day, I was reading Blood of the Fold; the third in a series by Terry Goodkind that I'm hooked onto. xP
