Eris shifted about where she lay, drowsiness from her night's sleep still in effect over her. She groaned and rolled over, dirt clinging to her fur as she did so. It was obvious she wasn't much of a morning person. Groaning again, she poked open one eye to peer about herself. She was still in this forest with that male--Sawyer. Of course though, why shouldn't she be? Lifting herself up and shaking her head, she attempted to chase off her sleepiness. In more efforts, she stretched out her limbs so that they wouldn't feel so sore or tight anymore.

Once she felt she was properly awake, she lifted her head and glanced around again. She was still wary of this forest. She had, after all, only met one wolf in it and so hadn't the slightest clue if there were any packs around here--any packs allied with Dunn. She'd have to go out soon and find out. She had already spent too many days here lazing about with Sawyer.

Sniffing, she glanced at the sleeping male. He was a strange one indeed. She didn't know why she bothered with him right now. She needed to build an army first, or at least some sort of strong force. She had no use for dillydallying.

But for now, she supposed, she would stick with him. He at least gave her some company and kept her nerves in line. Perhaps when she found some wolves to join in on her purpose she wouldn't need him anymore and so send him on his polite little way. After all, she didn't want him getting involved in something he was fit for. Although... she did rather like him. He was a nice wolf, a good friend. She sighed. Emotions shouldn't be getting in the way of this!

Shaking her head, she trotted immediately away from her 'friend'. There was no point in pondering his fate now. She knew hers and so she would stick to it loyally, like Raghnall had taught her. This morning, the brightly colored female would search for followers towards her cause. Nothing would distract her.

Shadows swirled over a red and white body as the large husky marked wolf walked slowly through the trees. His thoughts were his own, mulled and drifting from thought to thought, being alone tended to do that to one after all. Thanks to being alone almost all the time, the large male always got lost in his rather... turbulent thoughts.

Memories zipped to and fro in his head of his family, of his pack, of his love, all to be stripped away when he blinked his two-toned eyes so that they could shift to other thoughts of what he had for breakfast and what would be for lunch. Often he made himself dizzy with the way he was, with the way he thought and reacted and... lived. Yet here he was, here he was.... fantastic.

Yawning as he stopped, the shadows pooled in the center of his back and showed off the dark stripe of fur that sprawled down his back and dissipated into his lighter red. His father's marking mixed with his mother's husky marks. Aka hated his family, HATED them with a burning passion.

So here he was in the middle of the forest looking for someplace to go, something to do.

"Maybe I should go and try to find something to eat... or something." Akamichi mumbled slowly under his breath, eyes wandering to a tree branch high above where a blue-jay sang a racous song for the world to hear. "Could you at least sing that elsewhere when I'm in a bad mood little sister?" He called up to her softly, though the blue-jay didn't respond at all.

Sighing gently to the wind, the wolf with the mind of pure turmoil tottered off up the forest covered mountain in search of something to do, anything to do to keep him from getting lost like this. From eating himself alive from the inside out.

Eris had a multitude of thoughts running through her own head, though they were a bit more organized than the male's. It was her way, the way that she had been taught to handle things: with precision and organization. If everything was messy and all in array, she wouldn't be able to handle them quickly and without trouble. Nevertheless, she sighed. Her duties were still far too complicated for her to completely sort out.

Shaking her head, she sped up, her paws no long making a rhythmic 'tap tap' upon the solid ground. Her tail flew out behind her as she ran, the bushy thing acting as a sort of balance. She was attempting to run as fast as physically possible for her, attempting to forget everything that she had been forced to commit to.

As she ran, she narrowed her eyes and let her ears fall back directly against her skull. She prepared for a jump, a jump that she knew she couldn't land properly. But, that was the whole idea.

Stopping as if suddenly, she scrunched herself up and then shot from her place. Her speed had been too great from before, and so she lost balance mid-air. She went tumbling, her legs becoming entangled with one another. She hit the ground with a great force, causing her to grunt and groan as she rolled about, dirt getting her bright coat all dirty and filthy. She landed in a furry heap, appearing like nothing more than a giant creature's furball. Yet there was laughing coming from the thing, and so one must have known that it was indeed alive.

"Ah, wonderful," she laughed, lifting herself to her paws and shaking out her fur. It was an old habit of hers, running and jumping and landing like that. It allowed her to break free of her worries and it always helped to boost her sense of pride and confidence.

Settling herself down in a sit so that she may groom herself now, she laughed again. Little did she know there was a wolf right behind her. Her spirit was far too free at the moment to worry about such things.

Akamichi's two toned eyes widened slightly in shock as the orange and yellow female went toppling over the ground like that. Confusion marred his smooth face and he leaned his large head over to the side, utterly confused at what he'd just seen. It appeared as if it should have hurt her with the way she landed, but the wolf's sharp eyes had caused him to catch sight of how she twisted her body so that she missed her neck and landed squarely on her shoulder to avoid any pain.

Laughter filled the air as Aka suddenly couldn't hold it in any longer, he sat down on the ground and shook his red and white head slowly. It wasn't every day that one was able to watch a wolf do what that female had just done, then again Aka hadn't met very many wolves in his life that weren't.... cruel.

"Having fun cousin?" Aka called out at last, his laughter subsided for a moment as he threw his thoughts into the back of his mind so that he could focus more on his future rather than his past.

His red tail was slack so that she could see he was serious about not being a threat, his demeanor was releatively calm and he had a smile on his face that would normally dispell most questions of his comings.

The young female's ears immediately perked as she began to hear laughing other than her own. Not allowing him to realize that he had startled her, she stopped grooming herself and turned about, first her head and then the rest of her body following soon afterwards. Dark orbs caught sight of a rather naturally colored wolf, with brown on him. That alone was enough to make her back up and glare at him.

"I suppose you can say that," she replied, her voice sounding a bit bitter. Life's events had taught her that she was to be wary of any and all strangers, especially if they were brown or any other natural color.

Cricking her tail in suspicion, she glanced off to both sides, her right first and then her left. Sawyer probably was still asleep by now. Damn. But wait, why did she want him here? It wasn't like he could do anything amazing. Although, if this wolf in front of her was the decoy for an ambush, then she'd need all the help she could get.

Her nose twitching, she checked the passing winds for any scents that would give her a clue. Nothing out of the ordinary, but Dunn might have grown a bit wiser.

"What's your name?" she asked. There were certain... standards... for the names of the warriors that Dunn picked out. Although, this wolf certainly was rather large. He seemed fit enough for the duties of warrior. Would Dunn stray away from his tendencies just to let in one wolf? Perhaps not.. he did have enough wolves on his side as it was, and he was cocky, too. He probably didn't see any reason to bend the rules for one single being.

"Come on, out with it," she urged him, her jet black eyes staring him down. But she had a reason for it. None that she really cared for him to know, however.

"Akamichi, you can call me Aka though if it matters too much. It does tend to come off the tongue easier that way. Not sure what it means though." Two toned eyes looked over to the side as the large male frowned and thought deeply about it. What had made his parents name him that? What did it mean? Was it significant?

Probably not. Either way, Aka didn't care about giving out his name, there were very few that actually knew him or of his tiny pathetic excuse for a birth pack.

Her markings were rather incredible, same with her colors, it had been a few years since he'd seen a wolf with colors anything like those. The last one had been... blue he believed. A strange mix of blue and green to be more specific. This female though... she held herself different, held herself taller than the blue female had.

A soft chuckle came from Akamichi's muzzle and he glanced down at the other female, his eyes blinking gently as he did so. "So what name goes with the harshness cousin?"

It wasn't meant to be rude, it was meant as a question to point out her less than welcoming tactics with others. He didn't mind, he generally ran into much worse off wolves than this or at least passed them quietly while they snarled at him.

The bright wolfess pondered of the name silently. It didn't seem like one that Dunn would have perferred for one of his warriors. Indeed, it didn't sound strong enogh. Of course, that wasn't saying that his name was weak or anything. It just didn't seem like one that would strike Dunn's fancy.

Settling back upon her bottom, she curled her bushy tail around her thick body and simply watched him. He seemed kind enough, and he didn't have that gleam in his eyes like Dunn's pack always had. And.. now that she really looked, his eyes were two different colors. Dunn would never have allowed that. To him, that would have been a defect not worth caring for. Most certainly, this wolf was not of Dunn.

Immediately calmed by this conclusion, she loosened up rather quickly. "I am sorry, friend. I'm just... in a bit of a situation that forces me to remain on guard. I can't trust just anyone," she explained vaguely.

"I apologize again. It is just what I must do in order to remain alive with my lifestyle. Please, you may call me Eris."

A red head inclined to the wolf before him and Aka smiled at her smoothly, disregarding the words spoken from before. Akamichi himself had quite the lifestyle that would denote the use of snarls and harsh words, though he'd escaped much of it, the ghosts of a past beyond recognition still haunted his waking and dreaming hours. The lifestyle that went with having to know the name of an unforseen enemy and a strange wolf wasn't lost on the large red and white male.

"Eris then, no worries at all. When walking through the shadow of the Valley of Death, one should always know those that tread near." Akamichi said to her as he sat down and rolled his large shoulders, sharp eyes dazzling as he flicked them around to check the shadows.

"So what has a wolf such as yourself talking to a loner like myself? You appear as if you belong in a pack or at least in charge of a small group, what with those markings." A pink padded paw pointed to the mark on her shoulder that he'd been so mezmerised by earlier.

He lacked any discernable markings aside from the fiery red husky markings and the strange looking upside down triangle.

Eris nodded at the other, agreeing with his words. Out here, where she didn't know the lands very well and she knew even less of its inhabitants, there was always reward in acting cautiously. So, until she could build up a formidable group which would fight for her, she would forever be glancing over her shoulder.

As he glanced around at the shadows, her ears twitched slightly, the feather moving ever so slightly on her right ear. Her beady black eyes, however, remained watching him. Aka intrigued her, and she was eager to learn more about him.

"Well it's not like I came looking for you," she replied bluntly, with a strange politeness. "You were here and at first I was talking to you because I didn't want you to attack me. Now we are just getting into conversation." At the mention of her markings, she stiffened up, her eyes narrowing. Eris was rather sensitive about the way she looked, especially since it marked her as a wanted wolf.

"I am... gathering forces, if you will. My markings, they are symbols of my destiny." And that was all she was going to say about that.

Watching her motions, from the lilting feather to the reclined position, Akamichi took her in and weighed her against his past. She seemed like a wolf that could have readily walked right from his father's 'pack' and that concerned him on some level. Though he gave her the benefit of the doubt at the same time, Aka didn't like it.

"Heh, I wouldn't attack you, believe me. I've seen enough in my life to know that diplomacy can help before action. Though at times it isn't enough to save you and only actions and blood can help you." Aka said the last part almost beneath his breath. A scar on his stomach proved that actions were all that could help, proved that he'd used them quite a few times and suffered for each time.

"Forces.... While I'm not sure if that could be good or bad, if you need help all you need is ask." Red and white moved for a moment as the wolf bowed his head once more, in more a form of respect than anything. A wolf gathering forces was one to be respected as often they were either higher in rank or had a calling that made them of a higher level than those around them by distinction.

While he wasn't sure what she meant by destiny the large red wolf understood markings and what they could mean. He had two that stood out on his body and two that marked him as different and for that....

Eris noted the way he was looking at her, taking everything in, and it made her very uneasy. She didn't like others watching her, she had learned through experience that that could often mean they were sizing you up or pondering how to get at you effectively. Still, she strongly felt that he wasn't from Dunn's pack, and so she forced herself to remain silent.

"If you won't attack me, then I promise not to attack you," she replied easily, though there was an obvious distrust still lingering within her black eyes. What she said was true, she was just wondering whether or not she'd have to attack him, which would then have meant him attacking her first. She didn't like thinking about it, but until she knew him more, it was a great possibility.

Yet as he continued speaking, she found herself more inclined to enlist him for her cause. He was smart, that much was obvious, and he was also large. Whether that meant he was a great fighter, she couldn't tell, but he could be trained.

"You speak wise words, friend," she commented, turning her head and looking at him with one eye much like a bird would.

As he mentioned her gathering forces, she turned her head again and looked at him with both eyes. "It doesn't quite concern you, I'd suppose. Unless you involved yourself directly in my affairs. I intend no harm to the wolves of this land, unless they intend me harm first. My plan is to be carried out back at my home. I've got... issues... to settle." She wondered about her parents. Would Dunn have done anything to them? Surely he'd keep them hostage, locked away and guarded. But would he harm them? She growled just thinking about it.

"So you are willing to help?" she asked, remembering what he had said. "I must warn you, it won't be easy. I won't tolerate anything short of complete dedication and secrecy."
