Ok, I figure since Langley brought it up and I like the idea (if only because it'll keep almost everything I try to check in one spot) I'd start a thread for the Gaian NERV to commence from in here... Ideally I'll replace this first post with basically Rei's first post. Rei Ayanami Table of Contents Post 1 : Rules Post 2 : Updates Post 3 : Character Slots Post 4 : Current Storyline Rules Rule: Do not ask to join in this thread. Reason: It slows me down! x.x; PM me if you want to join! Don't ask, just say you want to, and if its a madeup, tell me the background story on them. Sybrid's Edit: You could just post here instead, since any of the crew could add you to the list. Also, that's what Langley has requested and I don't see any problem with that.Excuses: None. Consequence: Not being able to join. Rule: Post atleast once EVERY week. Reason: So I know that you're active, and so that the role play moves along somewhat smoothly. Excuses:If you don't, you'll be cleared off the list. If you have a reason to be gone, let me know in advance. Consequence: Expulsion from the guild. Rule: Posts have to be ATLEAST a Five or six sentences long. Reason: Its too confusing other wise. Excuse: I'll read it and see fit. Im really flexible when the role play is at boring points.. Just as long as it isn't just one sentence. Consequence: If you cannot meet this requirement, you'll be asked to leave the role play. Rule: Character actions have to be reasonable. No special powers, just human children. ( With the exception of Kaworu and Rei. ) Reason: Because I think its dumb to have special powers to make it so everything is easier, also, everything would be way too easy for you. Excuse: None. Consequence: Warning, then expulsion. Rule: You cant usually have more than one MAIN character. A pilot counts as a main, and so do MAIN NERV staff such as Gendo. Reason: You can cheat and hold everyone back while your character does the work. Excuse: If you wanted a pilot and a minor staff position, then fine. Consequence: None, because I wont accept that kind of request. The Rules are still being worked on. Be patient. Ok, I made some changes as we don't necessarily need all of those early posts. I think the ones listed are all that are necessary.

July 22, 2004 - Brought the opening stuff from the Gaian NERV over here. I've also stolen the last 12 posts to show what last happened. (Sybrid)
August 11, 2004 - Much needed update to character list completed. (Sybrid)
August 16, 2004 - Although Maya and Kaworu have players, both of their players have expressed interest in passing the character to someone else, so feel free to request their roles until they're listed as "taken" (Sybrid)

Current Storyline:
It seems that SEELE didn't like the pilots in such poor living condition, so they assumed that Gendo, being the "only one they can trust" was in condition to take them into his home, and shelter them himself! Apparently not; with all the clashing personalities, what couldn't go wrong?
After some wacky hijinks and some of the pilots meeting up with Misato and each other, everyone was called in for testing at NERV. Once they arrived, an Angel attacked, and Misato sortied Shinji and Asuka to handle it.

Shinji Shinji bowed his head in careful contemplation and slowly began to stare up at Unit-02. From hearing the report from Lieutenant Ubuki, he never realized how badly he did not want the angel to attack Asuka. No... I can't let it shoot again... not her...With the umbilical cable firmly in place, Unit-01 rushed into the open plains and crossed its arms over its head. "Pilot Ikari, requesting for Shuttle Shield from Unit-00! Pilot Soryu will center the target with a PSG -1 long range concussive rifle!" "Asuka, it's going to come out to fire at me again! Remember, shoot it in the neck or the mouth! Get ready!" At this point, he didn't care whether or not he would get in trouble for practically acting on his own, or how mad Asuka would be with him after he just ordered her around, but Shinji wanted the enemy gone. The shuttle shield flew up through the ground several meters behind Unit-01 and soon after, Shinji flew over to secure the shield into place. As soon as he placed the shield into hand, he felt the wave of painful memories surrounding the time he fought the 5th angel, and how Ayanami protected him from the deadly blast. Back out in the open, Shinji hovered the shield over Unit-01 and waited for the pain.

Asuka The bridge crew seemed to be getting more and more frantic with the actions of this angel.
Asuka halted her movements, though not letting her guard down, when she heard Shinji's voice over the comm line.
"Hey, since when are you in charge of the op?!" She demanded in a definate angry tone.
'Who the hell does he think he is, ordering me around like he's in goddamned command!' Frustrated, she glared at the boy thru the comm screen.
His plan was better than the nothing that they were doing beforehand, so for the sake of destroying this Angel, Asuka attempted to repress her anger... for now...
"Fine! We'll try it your way... and so help you, if it doesn't work, the Angel is going to have to wait in line to kill you." The girl growled, as she headed towards the Long-range gun which was just projected towards the surface for her use.
Positioning her Eva behind Unit-01, Asuka began to center on the target, waiting for the sights to align on her enemy.
"Come on now, don't keep me waiting..." She breathed quietly, focused on her victim's weakness.
She had no idea if it was planning another attack, but at the moment, her only concern was getting the shot off first.
The Angel finally reached the center of her cross hairs. Asuka pulled the trigger, firing a high powered blast towards the head/neck area of the enemy.

Tekablade (Angel) The being saw movement from one of the figures. It didn't care much as it was still thinking of how to get to it's target. After coming up with most of the plan, it saw a blast of energy shoot up at it. It hit it below the head. The pain was extream. It had never felt this kind of pain before. The blast and pain finnally subsided and left a chared mark were it had hit. With the being having been attacked it flew down and opened it's mouth. The center of it's soul heated up and started to create an energy barrier to stop any further pain from happening. (Maya) "The Angel has been hit. What? The Angel is now surrowding itself with an AT Field! It also hurtaling it self at the EVAs!" Maya yelled out. (Angel) The being could sence that there was a place it could be free of the pain but to get there it had to go down and endur much pain. It was going to ram into the ground and use it's barrier to smack threw the ground. It could also get rid of the figures at the same time by hitting the spot they where at. ((Remember that the angel was 83 miles up and is heading almost strait down.))

Shinji Shinji cringed and hid under the shuttle shield, expecting the searing heat of the angel's beam to rain down upon him. Then hearing Asuka's offensive action, he peered through the visor of the shield and heard the echo of Unit-02's blast. Maya "The Angel has been hit. What? The Angel is now surrowding itself with an AT Field! It also hurtaling it self at the EVAs!" Maya yelled out. Like an enormous meteorite, the Angel came plummeting down. There's only one why we can stop this thing... Shinji hooked the shield to Shogoki's left forearm and began channeling the AT field. "Asuka, I'll spread my AT field around this area. What are you going to do?"

Misato looked over the data coming in. "Shinji, Asuka, both of you extend your AT Fields to try and catch the incoming Angel. Then I want Shinji to rip open the Angel's AT field, and while he holds it open, I want Asuka to attack the Angel's core with her prog knife."
Well, it had worked the last time Angels fell out of the sky on them. Perhaps this one would die the same way. Still, she kind of wished she could field a couple of the other Evas, so that poor Shin-chan and Asuka would have backup. Hell, they'd managed to get Shinji out and fighting without any previous training and that had gone...
...well, it had gone, at any rate. Whether or not Shinji's little berserk festival of death was a sign that things were going right was a question to be left to later philosophers. Still, with a little luck her plan would work, and they wouldn't need to start herding the children out there where they would probably do more damage to the city than they stopped the Angel from causing.

Shinji (Hey sorry it's been awhile since I posted. I guess we'll just pick it up where we left off then.) After finally hearing some comforting orders from Misato, Shinji released hold of the shuttle shield and positioned Unit-01 horizontally with Unit-02. Catching another plummeting angel was not a fun task, as last time Unit-01 sustained damage, but this time the target was not a giant bomb. "AT-field full spread!" As Shinji focused the field around the area, Unit-01, and Unit-02, he felt the same strange prescence the last time he did this to protect Asuka and he was almost sure this is how she felt when she protected him from the acid dropping angel. Now, all they had to do was to protect each other and it would end soon.

Asuka "Ah, s**t!" Cursed the red head, as she spread her AT Field upon hearing the new orders.
"AT Field is up. I'm aligned with the target." The girl stated somewhat professionaly.
"Why are these stupid things so fascinated with kamikazing us?!" She complained, bracing herself and her Eva for the impending impact with the Angel.
"Hey, Idiot! Don't you drop that thing on me." She grinned thru the comm channel, while looking up at the incoming target.
It was better than not acknowledging him at all, she figured. It was her own strange way of telling him to not let her get hurt.
But she was too good for that...
'Just like last time...' She thought, glancing at her partner in battle for a brief moment, recounting the first Angel that had decided to plummet down unto them.

Tekablade (Angel) The being continued to shoot down at the two figures. It felt that the two figures had suddenly surrounded themselfs with barriers of their own. It knew that it wouldn't be able to pull out of the dive, so it had to thonk of something else to do. The being had a thought. The being straitend out it's body and angled upward slightly. It now was going to pass above the two figures and hopefully endure a slight bit more pain. The being was now only two hundred feet above the ground and was passing over the two figures. (Maya) "The Angel has changed it's course and is passing over the EVA's! It's going to colide with the ground! It apears that it's going to break into one of the launch tunels!" Maya yelled this new information to the commanders. ((Sorry it took so long. I just had to wait for Shinji. Also I made this reply to make the battle more interesting.))

Misato's eyes widened as Maya shouted out the new information. "Damn! Shinji, Asuka, see if you can catch up to the Angel before it reaches the tunnel. If one of you can catch it and hold it down, the other could then attempt an attack on the core."
'I hold and you hit' wasn't exactly the most elegant of attack plans, but Misato wasn't looking for elegance at this point, she was looking to get back Asuka and Shinji in one piece while dispatching the Angel. Still, if they couldn't catch up to the Angel...
"Ritsuko, which of the new pilots has the highest sync ratio? I want that pilot in their Eva deployed at the launch tunnel that the Angel is heading towards. Perhaps we can box it in."

Asuka Eyes widening at the enemies sudden directional shift, the German girl cursed.
"Was zum Teufel!!" Whipping her Eva around as fast as she could conceive the thought.
'This is unbelievable! And it just had to be the first battle all these new pilots see... augh!'
"Idiot, hurry up!!" She shouted towards the purple unit, whilst trying to force her Eva into moving as fast as her mind was.
Taking her eye off the Angel's course for a moment, she glanced at Ikari and noted that she'd be the first one to reach the angel. She'd have to take a dive at it.
"Shinji, you'd BETTER kill this thing!" Asuka muttered towards the comm link, setting the Angel in her sights.
She was doubtful that he had heard her, but at that point, she was just trying to assure herself that 'The Invincible Shinji' wouldnt let her get too badly bruised.
'All lined up... I'm barely gonna get there!' She thought angrily, making all efforts to run just that little bit faster. There would be no edge on this monster. It was going to be a photo finish, right down to the wire.
Given the situation, Asuka deduced that it would be best to try and block the Angel's entry point first, then try to restrain it.
At it's current speed, the Angel would definately propell itself through quite a few of the armor plates
There would be little chance of getting to it there.
"NOW!" She shouted, spreading her AT Field and launching her Eva toward the ground.
It hurtled forward in a frantic race with her oncoming targe.
Landing hard on the Launch duct, Asuka could barely brace for impact before the Angel crached into her Eva.
"ARRGH God DAMNIT!" She winced, but still managed to take the opportunity to make a grab at the Angel in it's impact stupefied state.
"Gotcha...." She sneered darkly, clutching the beast tightly and glancing up to see her battle partner looming over it.
"Shinji, come on!" Asuka growled, as she struggled with the writhing Angel.
'Don't leave me like this...'
