Our Imperial Senate. Home to the voice of a guild, its many members, and its entire strength put into the essential need for a system, which everyone is counted as somone, where the core of all suggestions, details, and mechanics can live and breathe.

This is the protocol which all members must follow:

Senate Rules:
1- This is a forum of dignity, of pride, of prestige and power. We expect your most proper conduct when presenting your opinions, voting ideas, and controversies before the guild as a whole.
2- The senate can open and close during points of interest or severe conflict. If the attendance is incapable of handling their duties, the entire session may be closed until tempers are calmed and respect is regained.
3- The Supreme Chancellor will be, and always will be, Grand Admiral Thrawn. Competition for securing the sole place of power has been eliminated. Now you all are on equal ground. Therefore, you are expected to act as equal.
4- Should any Senator fail to act in an appropriate manner, or any sort of trouble, the Supreme Chancellor can halt the debate at hand. Should further conflict arise, stronger measures, such as vote negation or expulsion from further debates, may be implemented.
5- If you are reading this, I suggest reading the rest of it. All members who fail to read the rules, aka you're not reading this (which is redundant, because if you see this, then you are here anyway), are subject to critism and in violation of procedure. Obviously, if you cannot follow protocol, you have not read the rules, so it is a plain sign of laziness, and subject to utmost critique.

How to become a Senator:
1- On our Roster will be a short list of senators and planets which they represent. You may pick any planet represented in the senate that has not yet been chosen, and you are allowed to write a profile about yourself, and if you want to really be neat, tell about the inhabitants, culture, major exports/imports, and other neato facts about the planet itself.
2- If you wish to become the senator of a planet that has a senator, you may contest the position. You may start an unweighted vote (explained later) as a sticky thread titled "Vote of No Confidence for Senator of *blank*" where blank is the planet which you wish to become senator of.
3- If a vote of no confidence passes from registered senators with majority vote (51% or higher), the proceeding senator will be ousted. If the vote turns out to be a minority, then you have lost the election.
4- A vote may be taken any number of times as one wishes, so long as they are reasonably spaced apart from each other.
5- A senator may lose his seat to a newcomer if he fails to be active in the guild for more than three months as well. However, a vote of no confidence must still be proposed, and won.

Purpose of the "Desks":
1) Each senator is awarded one normal thread. This thread can be titled desk of *your name* or senator of *your planet* or just *your planet*.
2) Shoudl you ever wish to discuss any personal matters with another member of a guild, for reasons which you don't want to be as public, you may discuss with them at their desk. There are other places for casual talk, so please reserve discussions for matters such as greviences, or gaining seconding favor for a motion.
3) These desks are no means supposed to be popular threads. They are more for being more personal confidant discussions away from the main chaos of the other forums. Do not be worried if nobody contacts you at your desk. Consider it a second pm box.

Motions and Resolutions:
1) Any person whom wants to suggest a change to the guild or a new idea may in fact pose a "motion" to the rest of the senate. To start a motion, make an announcement thread stating "Motion from *your planet*". If you have multiple motions, please number them.
2) Try to make motions only over one Idea a piece.
3) If a motion gains at least one vote of support, the motion will be converted by the Supreme Chancellor as a "resolution". Please specify in a motion that, should it gain enough support, whether the vote should be weighted or unweighted.
4) Resolutions will be numbered, and their results will be tracked in a Resolution history.

Voting in a Resolution:
1) Voting may occur in two ways; weighted or unweighted.
2) Unweighted voting allows for every person to gain one vote a piece, from the highest Grand Admirals to the lowest Troopers, thus creating an unbiased platform upon which to have people see true results on a one-to-one basis.
3) If a moderator does not like an outcome, or anyone demands elsewise, a weighted vote may be cast, in which the moderators and captains recieve extra votes. This is often used for when the moderators do not believe it is in the best interest of the guild to fulfill the majority request, due to time or effort constraints.
4) The supreme chancellor will never vote.
5) In either weighted or unweighted vote, you should specifically state yay, or nay. It is not necessary in an unweighted vote, but is mandatory for a weighted one.
