In Advent Children... as well as the end of the game... Nanaki appears running towards a Cliff... but 2 little Nanakis compnies him...
HOW'S THAT POSSIBLE??? IF NANAKI'S THE ONLY ONE OF HIS RACE?

Technically, it never truely states that he is the only one of his kind, and his grandfather tells him "you'll find your mate" or something along the lines of that.
Besides, it never said ANYTHING about Nanaki not being able to mate with others out of his species [EX. Humans...]. Remember, Hojo DID try to mate him and Aerith together before Cloud saved them.
This also might be an explination why they never show his mother, and I think it states his father left her (?) or lived longer than her (?).
Yes, beastiality, it's real so LIVE with it.

In advent Children, Caith Sith calls Yuffie her "Princess"... at least in my Spanish subtitle... why's that?

O_o I don't really want to think about beastiality. And he (nanaki's father) died 'afore her cuz he stopped all the bad people from coming into cosmo canyon and got arrowed to death, petrifying him cuz of the poison.

first I would like to say that if hojo was such a dumbass as to bring sephiroth into the world by raping lucrecia (I know he didn't it's a figure of speech) then he probably would try to breed Red XIII with a human. even though, inter-species breeding is impossible. no, they did say that he was the last of his kind in the game, but I don't believe he actually was. just because he was the last one to ever live in the villiage doesn't mean that he's the last. it is very possible that after traveling the world with cloud and company, he would have found his mate.
I would also like to say that nobody here should go around and try to start naming his kids, cause I've seen it and it's not your story so don't try it.

you know, nanaki's father never really died. he was just petrified by all those pesky enemies. softs won't work, cause I guess he got hit by so many that he couldn't be revived of it. kind of how aerith can't be revived by pheonix downs or revive magic.
proof: didn't you see him crying when nanaki prowdly claimed to be his son?

The same scean was at the begine of FFVII: Advent Childred. It is said that the little "Nanakis" following Red XIII where his grandchildren. His grandfather also said that Red would find his mate and his place in the world so he could be the last of his race just living at Cosmo Canyon.

there are others....northern cave maybe??? mountains around corel???? if it took hojo that long to find Nanaki(RedXIII) maybe there are others he didn't find. think of all the places they could be hiding. near mideel maybe

You know I asked a lot of the same questions because they kept going back and forth between him being the only one one of his species and then he'll find someone. As for the who maybe he interracially mated. His grand children or whatever they are would have been halfbreeds not full out moombas. That is what Nanaki is you know. A really awesome version of a moomba. But I guess some of the other Ideas have merit I guess he could have found another somewhere possibly hiding out in another territory.
