Banji didn't much care for the jungle. He prefered more open spaces where he could navigate easier, like the Pridelands. But...

Well, the mumurs from other lions in passing said a lot of things had being gone on there recently. Something about someone dying and such. Not that he was anyone particularly important, but he didn't want to risk getting drug into it.

More than that, he'd heard of a lioness marked like a zebra prowling around this area. Surely there weren't any others who looked like himself and Hasana?

Those two reasons were mostly what prodded him here, but he didn't expect the jungle to be so... Like this.

He'd stepped on a vine, which had somehow managed to tangle itself around his leg. Stumbling and vainly trying to rid himself of it, he'd someone ended caught up in another. Then another, and another, and another...

At this point, he had a good five of them wrapped around his legs, and was barely managing to avoid tripping as he gnawed at them. What a pain!

Nko didn't much like the jungle, either. Rather, she hated the place. She hated its sounds, the ones created by the various jungle inhabitants, their screeches and wails creating a cacophony that made Nko bitterly miss the solitude of the plains. She hated its insects, the ones that buzzed all around, on her nose, and up her nose. But most of all, she hated its trees, the ones that grew tall and cast a permanent shade upon the jungle floor. In this semi-darkness, Nko was lucky to be able to see her paws move before her. Oh, why had she ever entered this place?

Sauntering along slowly, Nko paid careful attention to the sounds around her. However much she despised them, they were much more useful right now than her eyes were. Soon, the orange-furred lioness picked up a different sound, one apart from the usual animal calls. It was, instead, an intense rustling of leaves, rather nearby. Rather intrigued, Nko threw caution into the wind and turned towards the sound, picking her way carefully through the underbrush.

Soon, Nko was greeted with an odd sight. One that she could barely make out, but an odd sight either way. Peeking through the branches of a bush, it seemed to Nko that this...lion, yes, it had to be a lion, she could see the mane, had managed to tangle himself in some vines, making a great racket whilst doing so. Even now he was gnawing at them, attempting to free himself. He looked like he could use some help...

Oblivious to any potential risk the lion posed, Nko finished pushing her way through the bush. "Do...do you need any help?"

Now, as much as he wasn't of any importance, Banji didn't harbor any particularly keen senses either. His hearing, sight, everything was what most would consider average. And with his average hearing and average sense of smell, he'd have usually been aware of the stranger approaching long before she did so.

As it was, his attention was fully captured (as were his legs) by these damn vines! That is, until the earlier mentioned stranger spoke, at which point he glanced up at her with mis-matched eyes and chuckled sheepishly.

"If you wouldn't mind," he responded. No shame in asking for help when one needed it in his book.
