Yeah, I dont mean to impose on the members here, But can we get some seemingly reasonable replies going on in the Poetry section. Seems like everybody in there simply wants to post poems and recieve comments without giving any.
I've replied to 6 pieces and posted two. Only one of those poems were commented in return. There needs to be a change.
I know on most Message Boards, they have a "Show Love to get Love" Rule. Meanings you gotta reply to a particular amount of pieces before you'll be able to post up your own.
Im new to this Guild and Im not sure how far my request will go with the Moderators and Administrators here because of that, But those two poems are about to be my only two if there isnt a change.

We do not imply this rule because we want users to comment on poems they like, we are trying to force our members as little as we can in issues other than grammar.

Im sorry, But why is something as seemingly unimportant as Grammer being taken as a real issue when something as necessary as the progression of the amount of quality pieces on this site isnt?
I dont want to ridicule the Staff or Members here, But Grammer isnt as nearly as important as activity. The boards should be used for artists and poets to bring their pieces to the table so that they can build on them and become better then they think they are. Replies from other members make that progression possible with some constructive criticism.
I dont know about yall, But the most insulting thing on a Message board is when you take time out to reply to more then a Handful of people and not have equal consideration.

I don't go to the writing thread often. sweatdrop But when I do, I'll gladly comment on a poem or story or whatever. 3nodding But that doesn't happen often. I'll make a point to do so.
Undertaker likes his grammar (and spelling and punctuation, for that matter). Sorry...
We appriciate your manners while commenting about the system. 3nodding But as Undertaker mentions, it wouldn't exactly feel okay to "earn" your right to post a poem.
That said, I can't find any ideas to replace the current system. sweatdrop But your comments (and ideas, especially) are greatly appriciated. biggrin
(...I think I'll stop taking Undertaker's place now. sweatdrop He's the writing/poetry subforum dude)

I am well aware that activity is important and that everyone wants comments on their work that are worth while, but us, as the staff can not go around and make or demand other members to post when they do not feel like it or want to.
I post quite a bit in the art section, but I don't go around and whine about not getting any comments or constructive cristism. You're going to have this where ever you go on gaia not just here. No everyone is going to reply to your posts. If people aren't interested you can't make them be interested.
I really appreciate the comments and such, but I don't see how anyone here can do anything about them.

I agree that more people should reply to the poetry section. At the least say something like "I like your poem" or "I don't like your poem".
