Umo was on his own again. The swamplands were not his home at the moment... not when Kikawaida was giving birth. He had to leave her again. He was pained by that, but would respect her wishes. So with a heavy heart full of anticipation, he left his Genet friend with his mate and headed out... to wait out the long period of time where he was a father, who had no clue what his cubs looked like. If he had any cubs. He did not know, and wold not know until the time was right. He walked slowly, his crimson eyes staring at the ground as he walked. He was careful not to cross into someone else's territory while he traveled. It was too the point where he needed to rest and sleep.
So he lay down on a small hill under a tree, his head resting upon his paws as he stared at the sky. His heart was pleading with the gods to keep his mate safe. Safe and secure. He closed his eyes but did not sleep.

Cream tipped red paws were covered with murky water from the swamp water. It was one of the only times she used her firekin illusion to stay out of trouble rather than start it. The long black brain had wound about her ankleand the necklace of gold and jewels, which had once been shells on her body, creaked and jingled with every step. She didn't like that place but she needed some kind of water to stay sustain her. Unlike others, Lew had no worries or cares beyond her own personal needs. She was a creature of self-preservation and maintainance. Her cream tipped tail swayed as she walked, swatting her flank lightly. Crystal blue eyes starred forward as she continued. She needed to find somewhere to rest before the water she had so preciously stored ran dry.
With a gentl push, the Goddess lifted herself from the ground and circled above, swimming through the current. It certainly wasn't something a normal lioness but who wuld be looking at the sky?

Umo lifted his head at the pleasent sound of jingling. He opened his eyes, blinking crimson orbs around himself as his ears located the sound better. He sniffed, smelling anouther. He stood slowly, blinking. He was almost out of the swamps and perhaps Kika was chasing after him to ask him to stay... but why would she jingle? He sighed sadly, looking behind him... where his eyes froze. A red lioness... a color he had never seen in a lioness... was there. He had heard of the firekin... and their ways... and did not like what he saw but he was in Awe. What a lovely color. He blinked and gasped aloud when the female seemed to take flight, or lift into the air. He blinked.
And then he caught on.
It had to be anouther god. A goddess. Like Athrun. he cocked his head. Only. She looked normal but... how was she flying. Not that he was so suprised... when he met Athrun he nearly jumped out of his skin. Now he was calmer. He blinked his crimson eyes. "Good morning Ma'm" He said, his flat monotone voice pleasent and warm. Though he was in a state of despare for his mate was birthing soon and he had to leave her side.

Lew dived through the air, feeling the soft pull of the current against her slender frame. The cream colored tuft flicked in the wind as she seemingly swam through space. Such a beautiful morning to just enjoy what her body could do. It twisted and turned in such a feline way, red fur shimmering in the growing light. Blue eyes closed in content as she spiralled towards earth only to bring herself up at the last moment. A paw scratched against the ground at the sound of a rather monotone voice. The soft underpads on her paws scratched and bled as she skidded to a stop. The cuts didn't bother her. They would heal in mere moments
"Hello?..." The looming shape of a male was clearer when her eyes began to focus, melting slowly back into their normal gold. This male probably knew what she was considering that she had been up in the air when he called. Still, a smile pulled at her maw. "Good morning."

Umo could not believe his luck... or his misfortune. Another God... Goddess by the looks of it. He blinked his surprised crimson eyes as he watched her glide through the air. Amazing, the ability to fly. He shook his head for a moment, before nodding with a smile. How could one be rude too a goddess? Nor did he have an ounce of rudeness in him. "Hello..." He said simply, not sure what to say or to do. The only thing that was really convincing him was the fact she was damn well flying not too long ago. Perhaps. Perhaps she was...
...dead...
Was he dead? He took a moment to look petrified for a moment. No, he was not dead. He would know if he was dead. He was not thinking rationally. Perhaps he died on his way out of the swamps. No.... thoughts like these were not what he needed. He wanted too see his cubs. He planned on heading back too see his mate again after he stayed her a bit. He wanted to talk.
"Excuse my asking... but... are you a ghost?" He said with a curious look

The Goddess was suprised that someone would address her so openly. It wasn't often that she encountered others especially while flying or being slightly vulnerable. With a sligt tilt of her head, Lew moved a bit closer to the dark figure. Her tail flicked this way and that, cram tuft curling around her ankle. At least he seemed nice enough considering that he had seen her flying. She quickly shook the tension from her body, letting her red fur settle back into place by it's self.
Cream tipped paws brought her ever closer to the other. It was strange to talk to a mortal but maybe he ould be alright.
"Ghost?..." Lew raised her brow and slowly looked to the skry, wondering why he had thought her a ghost. Oh yes. He had seen her flying. Of course he would think she was a ghost or something. "I can assure you that I'm not a ghost."

Umo smiled kindly. Of course she was a goddess... not a ghost. He blinked his crimson eyes as she neared, she was almost the same color as his eyes. His own tail curled over his back like a question mark as she came close. "Then you are a Goddess...... though you look nothing like the ones I have seen." He said, cocking his head too the side. Though he was big and he was floofy, he was smarter than most thought. He could tell she was a goddess though... ever since he met Athrun... but what was she the goddess of?
He stuck out his chest and said with a laugh. "You must be the goddess of flame... due too your vibrant pelt, or am I mistaken?

A Goddess? Lew chuckled softly but in a friendly way. At least some knew when they were in the shadows of something greater than themselves. Her claws slipped from the comfort of her paws in the dirt below her as she lowered herself to the ground, tail flicking. "You are correct. I am a Goddess. I would congradulate you on a job well done but I suppose that it was fairly obvious." If anyone had saw her flying, they would've probably came to the same conclusion.
Her jewels jingled softly as her tail finally sat still behind her. "My realm is of no real importance here so I suppose it wouldn't really matter now would it?"

Umo chuckled to himself at her words. Of course he knew... he had been around a God for a while... and was good friends with him and his cub. He was not freaked out by the presence of gods.. but if he ever mentioned it too his mate... she would not react properly he guessed. She was of the swamp pride and she believed in spirits more than gods. So he made a mental note to not speak of this meeting. So he looked too her. "Well, I did not have to try too hard."
He looked around. What the heck would a goddess be doing here anyway... so he decided to be a bit tricky. "You are not hte Goddess of Mud are you then?" he said with a laugh.

Lew chuckled herself. She had no real idea that Umo had been around and even befriended a god but it was something about him that she sensed. Itwas somewhat of godly presence that seemed to linger about him like a swirl of color that no one but dieties could witness. Her fur bristled as she stretched herself out. Being just larger than a firekin, and especially with their red plet, she probably would have been even more strange had he not seen her fly. Goddess or not, Lew was still curious about the world and it's screts. She had come to the swamps since there was an abundance of water she could absorb from the air and ground while she explored. It was quite wonderful to not have a dry throat ora failing body because of the lack of water.
"No. I prefer to be a bit cleaner." She chuckled again, shaking out her hair with the jingling sound the jewels strewn within it. "Who, might I ask, are you?"

Umo made himself comfortable where he was, his tail curling around his legs and he took in the general size of her. He knew of the red colored pride.... but of what they were more into... their beliefs and such he had no clue. He blinked his crimson eyes slowly. "I see... the swamps are certainly a place that does not keep one clean. I would know. I live here most of hte time." He spoke in his flat voice, looking about momentarily.
"I am Umo... soon to be father Umo"

Lew fell to her stomach, crossing her front paws as she gazed at the other. Her hair fell freely around her shoulders as she nibbled on a particualr lock to drink in the remnants of the salty waters she always took with her in times of need.
"I suppose you're right Umo." Father was he? "So, you have a mate?"

When the topic turned too his mate, he perked up and smiled warmly. Just the thought of Kikawaida, made him happy. His everdying love for her was obvious. He looked too the goddess and smiled warmly. Oh yes, I have a mate... Her name is Kikawaida... She is bound to give birth soon. He said, his eyes glimmering wildly. He wiggled himself until he was comfortable, sitting with his paws tight against the ground. He was still smiling.
"She is birthing right now-and I am not permitted to be present. He added with a hint of saddness.
