Well I keep to what is stated in the Canon and what we carried together in the community... *two thumbs up for Herit and Reißzahn*

What is a "Crusnik"?
1) "Crusnik" can refer to the Crusnik nanomachines. Those nanomachines, created by a highly developed alien race, are more or less machines which possess an own will and conciousness, small enough to sojourn in a person's blood. They annihilated their own creator race and created the so-called "Bacillus" which served as their source of energy (AKA "food"). Their name was given to them by Seth Nightlord and this was derived from their cross-like shape. The exactly details of their creation are unknown, furthermore, their reasons for trying to take over their hosts' mind and destroy the world are also not mentioned. However, the injection of the Crusnik nanomachines has proven fatal to a normal human. The only humans who are able to withstand the these nanomachines residing within them are the so called "Test Tube Babies" or "Red Mars Babies", also known as the "Nightlord siblings". They are genetically modified humans created to lead the human habitation of Mars, which was known as the "Red Mars Project". These are Cain Knightlord, Abel Nightroad, Seth Nightlord, and Lilith Sahl.
2) "Crusnik" can also refer to the persons who carry the Crusnik nanomachines within their body. Thanks to the nanomachines, they possess great power and can furthermore "summon" wings and weapons consisting of these very same nanomachines. The nanomachines also stop the aging process and regenerate their bodies when wounded, and are powerful enough to regenerate a body from a pile of ash, as in the case with Cain Knightlord. However, using them is very dangerous since they are constantly trying to seize control over their hosts' minds and make them their empty vehicles. The power of the Crusnik nanomachines can be released with different restriction levels; confirmed are 40%, 80%, and 100%. The higher the level, the more powerful the host becomes, but also, there is a higher risk of being completely taken over by the nanomachines. This is also the case when the host would often use the nanomachines’ power. A release of 100%, on possibly a prolonged period of time, would give them the control over their host. They constantly try to persuade him into going this far. The only Crusniks ever to exist in the story are/were: Cain Knightlord (Crusnik 01), Abel Nightroad (Crusnik 02), Seth Nightlord (Crusnik 03), and Lilith Sahl (Crusnik 04).


Further then I only like the real meaning of the original slovanic word Kr'snik ... *points at wikipedia* go there!

Krsnik or Kresnik, Lord of the Mountain is a pagan slavonic son of the sun god present in Slovenia, Croatia, and other countries. The comparative mythology showed that this demigod figure originates from Iranian god Yima and his double, Indian Yama, with whom they share a lot of common characteristics. It is a very diverse deity with many different faces depending on the location of the myth.
