Who has AIM?

Say I.

Good.

Now, who's interested in a 90 CP AIM BESM game? Say I.

Good.

IF you have AIM, gimme an IM saying you wanna join that BESM game. The setting is Space Opera, with a few caveats

1) Melee Attack costs 5 Skill Points per level
2) Melee Defense costs 4 Skill Points per level

No ludicrous technology is allowed. Crazy and lower technology is allowed.

What time(s) were you thinking of running said game? Do you have anymore specifics on said Space Opera game? It's all well and good to say 90 CP and Space Opera but it would be nice to have some additional guidelines. Trust me, with 90 CP I can generate some very... "creative" things that may not have entered into your plans.

Oh now you've gone and done it Auren, I had a character idea. Presenting Captain Nau and the Great Ship Carrack Deck. Nau's greatest ambition is to sail off the edge of world. Some would say he already has and into one all his own.

me! 3nodding
space opera though... does that mean we're allowed to be some sort of possible alien? Or perhaps something of a MegaMan-style android?

Sorry about that, million things I had going on.

1) IM me and we'll figure something out.

2) "Funk me over?" I once WTF PWNT the resident ubar-muncher with 30 CP less then he did. Oh, and that character was part of a special ops unit for the government, that anyone can join, she wasn't a one off character, but part of oh, ~500 and growing. One hint: Screwing with Time is AWESOME! (That, and I would usually win iniative by a long-shot if I were to pull-out some of my munch characters. We're talking... iniative 18 vs Iniative 22 (My lowest possible)

3) Aliens are allowed.

When I said "creative" I wasn't talking game breaking necessarily. I'm really looking for more clarification along the lines what you were expecting to run. Space Opera is kind of broad, with set cliches.

Are we looking at (from Wiki):
Space opera and planetary romance
Space opera and hard science fiction
Space opera and military science fiction
Space opera and space western

All four of those can really change how characters are created. How cliche is this going to be? Are we supposed to be pirates or the space patrol. With Captain Nau I was assuming a bit of the free booting Space Opera/Western.

I guess like seeing the Game Concept form filled out. It really helps clarify things.

Game Title
Genre: Space Opera
Period: Far Future? Another Universe: Science Fiction?
Category: Action? Drama? Comedy? Romance?
Theme: ???

A brief paragraph description of the setting and what is expected from the players.

Alright, here's the layout:

Game Title: The Council
Genre: Military and Hard Science fiction with a dash of Space Westeren in there. As for cliche, There are a few, not many, thankfully.
Period: Far Future
Catagory: Action/Drama
Theme: Rrrigghtt... I'll get back to you on that. It involves Civil War though.

What is expected from the players is a nasty, but not walking god PCs. The setting is pretty advanced technology, and the limits of what can be done at the highest level of the highest techbase are rather limited in scope, as the most god-like thing they can do is build a god-ship that can be taken down if you know what you're doing. (Get Nukes. A lot of nukes.)

Ah that does change my character concept a bit.

ok my question would be magic ( or dynamic sorcery) or no?

my character creation is depndent on that

i have no problem creating a tech junkie in case there is no magic involved

ok, but how are dice done there. I never saw a dice option on the aim thing I am on. Plus I suck at getting to the place to do this stuff with the group at time. I am sorry for posting late.

AIM has a dice roller. It's what made it a favor for IM RPs when it came out and has stayed there since.

It's something like " //roll-dice2-sides6 " It's a command you enter much like changing font color while Fishing or Playing Cards here on Gaia.

Bagel san, do the Far Future thing. Magic is called Psionics biggrin . I miss Alternity as an RPG system, the FX rules were such fun.
