The outter rim of the Unity Walkers land was a place that Paki had rarely ever been in his life. It was also rare that he was allowed to wander alone, after all he was treated like he was weaker than he was supposed to be and was. But this was the third time in his life he'd been out past the wall, it made him all proud that he'd mate it at all.
"Pappi'll probably ream me when I get back." Paki mused to himself, his little chocolate paws lifting up fallen leaves as he waked over the jungle floor slowly. He could feel the heat and the wet pouring all over the forest floor.
Maybe he would meet something interesting like that leopard he'd met before. She had been incredibly kind, he hoped that all creatures on the outside were kind like her, though Paki was also sane and knew that not everyone was like Keilantra had been. ninja

He put his massive paws gently on the ground, trying his best not to make much of a sound on the fallen leaves. He was crouched low to the ground, stalking around for something to eat, if there was anything in this humid place.
Something moved off in the distance. It was small and seemed to almost blend, but stand out with it's markings. His golden gaze settled on it just over the top of the grass and he prepared to pounce upon it. But what he saw wasn't a meal. It was a cub with tan and brown markings similar to his own. His curiosity was aroused at this point and he decided to make his presence more known.
He rose to his full height, shaking his copper brown made from his eyes and padded over to the little child with a smile on his face. "Are you lost, little one? I don't see your parents around."

The footsteps told Paki that someone was near him long before the other spoke up and made himself known. Thanks to being so blind it was much easier to hear things that others normally wouldn't have.
"Oh they're further inside the lands, past the big wall with the hole in it." Paki said smoothly, nodding and closing his blind eyes as he flicked both chocolate tipped ears towards the large male to his side.
While he couldn't see him, if Paki sucked in enough air through his nose there was a landscape that appeared in his mind made of white stars on a black background.
"Nice to meet you mister." ninja

He took his time in looking over the young cub. There were indeed similarities, but there were striking differences as well in their pelt colors. His vanilla tan ears pinned back briefly at being addressed as "mister." Did he really sound -that- old? He cleared his throat and continued with his examination of the boy.
"Please, call me by my name, Sumilyth or Mil for short. I'm not yet old enough to be called "mister" just yet. But aren't you a bit young for your parents to allow you to be wandering alone?"
He padded a circle around the child, making notes that his eyes would never follow with his movements. Was he shy? Nervous? Sumilyth had never run across anyone as such, but then he didn't remember much aside the encounter at the river.

Paki grinned playfully and sniffed at the older male gently, smelling smells he'd never had the chance to encounter before in his short life. This was definitely an outsider, if he had been part of the pride he'd have grabbed Paki by the scruff and taken him directly back to Tanashita and Kifijo after all.
"Mil then. And my parents don't ever let me wander around for obvious reasons. So I sneak out when I can, it's not the greatest thing to do but at least it helps with learning right?"
Normally other lions got right of the bat that Paki was sneaking around and that he was blind, it was fairly obvious if you looked at him long enough after all. ninja

Sumilyth couldn't help but grin. As long as there was no harm... "What they don't know doesn't hurt them, right?" He batted at fluffy end of Paki's tail, feeling very much like a child.
He tilted his head to the side, still puzzling out what was wrong with the cub. It didn't make much difference to him. He would still play with him as he did with anyone else. He swished his tail about in thought and finally decided to shrug the puzzle off. "Would you be up for a little game of tag then? Or maybe grasshopper hunting?"

"What's grasshopper hunting?" Paki asked quizzically, fluffing his incredibly long tail so that the older male could play with it to his own desire, just like his brother did. The cub had come to the conclusion that it was just fine that he had longer fur, his mane hung down almost before his eyes and made it much easier to get across that he was blind as a bat.
Of course he lived by the statement that what neither of his parents didn't know didn't hurt him, or at least get him cleaned for over an hour at a time by his mother for being dusty... and just because he hated it.
Rolling both of his marked shoulders, Paki tottered over towards the sound of the voice after a moment. Usually he was a touchy feely sort of cub, though he refrained when it came to strangers, though with a game it could be better. ninja

Sumilyth gave a look of shock, "You've never grasshopper hunted?" Then he looked about his surroundings. "Well, I can understand how you can't. Have you done any sort of bug hunting? It's great for learning how to hunt when you're older. A good starter."
He moved in closer to Paki and crouched down low. "You get down to where your belly is almost touching the ground. You want to be on your toes, enough to be able to pounce or flee if danger comes. Sight can be betraying, so listen closely to what goes on around you. When something draws near and seems "at home," then you get it while it's unaware. In this case... you want to start off on bugs. It's something small." He turned his golden eyes to the cub. "Care to start the game, Paki?"
