Narayan saw the lake before his father did. Or rather, a pond. Heck. Maybe just a gigantic hole full of water from a night's worth of rain. Whatever it was, it was unusual. Messy. And unusual. And before JD could say another word, the boy was running towards the water as if his fate depended on it.
"NARAYAN!"
The bellow didn't stop him either.
It was noon, around. The weather was slightly chilly but it wasn't something the boy really noticed. Thick skin meant an entirely different thing when you had... well. Thick skin. And the water was cool, warm in small spots and squishy at the bottom.
"GET OUT OF THAT MUD HOLE!"
And it was soft. Water was soft-- he really, really liked it. And so, ignoring the voice of his guardian and letting the hem of his shorts sink into the liquid, he let out a happy cry.
Narayan was happy.

A rather naked little blue frog boy raced about the area, free for the moment from confining clothing and the father that would make him put it all back on. Nibal spotted the rather large puddle, complete with another kid inside of it. That was good, he needed to get some moisture on his skin, it was starting to get a bit itchy. If it weren't for the fact that he'd taken off those clothes, he'd just go ask P'las for some water. But clothes made his skin feel worse...
So, giggling happily, Nibal splashed right on into the water. The boy was probably just as happy (if not happier) as the resident of the puddle. "Hi!" The boy chirped to Narayan.

IT WAS BLUE!! Staring at the new arrival with wide eyes, Narayan managed to wiggle his nose in a hello. "Hi!" he said right back, taking a moment to take the little boy in. Look. He was all bright and colorful and.
"Pretty!" he exclaimed. He had no hair! If Narayan got rid of his hair, would he have splotches like the boy? Noticing that the boy was naked however, Narayan looked down at his own (now even more sopping) clothing.
Heck. If one could do it, he could do it too!
Wiggling out of his shirt, he beamed. "I'm Narayan." And this? This was their PUDDLE.

Nibal grinned at the boy, fascinated by the wriggling nose. "I'm-"
"NIBAL!" Peri shouted for his son, following the trail of abandoned clothing for a distance, then continuing on in hopes of figuring out where his son had gone before the kid poisoned everyone.
"Uh... Nibal..." The frog kid finished his sentence, scrunching down into the puddle some. "That'd be my dad..." He explained to Narayan, seeing the man come into sight.
"Nibal! There you are!" Peri ran up to the edge of the puddle, ignoring Narayan and his father to glare at his own child. "You know you're-"
"Not supposed to take my clothes off..." Nibal grunted. "Yeah, yeah... I know." He glared back at his father, then changed topic. "This is Narayan."
Peri blinked. "Oh, uh... hello."

Narayan stared. Well, his father was more quiet then this one... kind of. Or rather, at least his father gave up earlier then this one. "Hello." he waved with his nose, his hands busy in the water still. And why couldn't the boy take off his clothing? There was something amazingly liberating about being in water... naked... hmmm.
Maybe he should take off his shorts now.
"Nibal is nice." he said, nodding his head. The name, that was. Petting the water, he stared. "Why aren't you allowed to be naked?"
What a crime. He understood that they weren't allowed to be naked in front of other people... but it was just the four of them. And besides! The boy was pretty. Normal humans might look kind of ugly in the water... but this boy was not a normal human. Nope. Far from it.
Naked was good. Right?

Peri sighed. "Because his skin can hurt people and make them sick if they touch it." He held up the rather concealing clothing that Nibal was usually forced to wear.
"But, P'las... I don't like it!" Nibal pouted, hoping that Narayan could help him get out of having to put his clothes on right this second.
The man sighed again, obviously tired of going over this repeatedly. "Nibal..." he warned the boy.
Nibal frowned, crossing his arms. "But, Narayan won't touch me, right?" He directed that at the boy. "So he can't get hurt..."

He hadn't thought about touching Nibal. But he looked so shiny! And soft too. "Alright." well, it was kind of a promise. Waving his trunk in the water in a slightly sulky manner (the boy got people sick and hurt them, did he?) he raised it up, having pulled some of the water up his trunk.
"Then can't you just ask the skin to not hurt people?" the reference to just his skin had confused the boy, slightly.
The water escaped in a short (rather pathetic) spray at Nibal, and the boy grinned. "Yeah, okay. I don't have to touch you." to have fun. See? He knew there was a reason people with noses like his were perfect.
They could molest at a distance!

"Uh..." Apparently, Nibal had never thought of that. "Would that work, P'las?"
Peri shook his head. "No, I'm afraid it doesn't work like that. You can't control it..." The man shrugged.
Nibal giggled as Narayan used his nose to spray the boy. "See, P'las?"
"Nibal, I'd feel better if you'd just put your clothes on. You never know when someone might accidentally touch you..."

Narayan stared at Nibal with a sad expression on his face. Oh, being forced into clothing! Surely it must be as bad as himself not being able to paint. Because...welll...
...
There was a link. Something logical and coherent in that sentence.
Feeling a bond with the blue boy that extended far beyond muddy puddles and nakedness, he shrugged. "Poor Nibal."

Nibal sighed, hauling himself out of the water. At least his skin felt better now, though it wouldn't stay like that for long once he put the clothes on.
Peri handed the clothing over to the wet boy with a sigh. The boy just continued to try his patience.
Nibal slowly got dressed, frowning the whole time. Once he was finally dressed, he got right back into the water.
Peri opened his mouth to protest, then just gave up.

JD who was watching the entire thing, started to laugh. So it wasn't only he who sometimes felt like that? Picking up the discarded shirt and holding onto it for Narayan (he knew better then to push his own luck) he watched the two sitting in the water with a smirk.
"I'm JD." he said, looking over at Peri. "Narayan's guardian." he guessed the man was the same... but still. "What is your son that he has poisonous skin?" Biology, animals, things like that... they had never, ever been his strong suit.
Narayan let out a happy little trumpet as he splashed the boy. "I really like water. But all my aunties are always using the bath tub." besides. There was something more refreshing and fun about natural water like this. Wiggling down and sinking more of himself in, he leaned forewords.
"If you're skin is bad so I can't touch you... well. My skin isn't bad. Can you touch me?"
Yay for childish logic!

Perilas glanced over at JD, his expression weary. "I'm Perilas." The man gave a soft sigh. "Nibal's DNA is blue poison dart frog. They're a rather poisonous creature... and unfortunately, he has inherited that..."
Nibal giggled. "I like water too. If I don't get in water, then my skin starts feeling funny. Though, just drinking some water helps it too..." The boy then paused to think over Narayan's question. "Uh, I think so..." Luckily, he was wearing gloves, so as he reached out to touch Narayan's nose, Peri didn't have to have a spazz attack.

Blue poison dart frog? Looking over with some caution at the little boy his little boy had decided to play with, his gaze was uncertain. Well. If Narayan caught some kind of...
Nah.
Deciding that surely he was over-reacting, he nodded his head. "Nice to meet you."
It was about time the boy made some proper friends.
Narayan let out a giggle-snort as his nose twitched. Look, they could touch each other! Deciding that this was certainly more fun then _not_ touching. (The boy was going to have serious issues when he grew up) his smile was pretty much the same as he ducked his head. Hey, this was fun! He could do this.
"Okay. That makes sense." Narayan leaned forewords and flicked the boy. "Your skin feels funny?" his did, sometimes. "Mine feels funny if I'm in the sun for too long. With no sun block."

Peri eyed the elephant boy for a moment. "He's from D-corp, isn't he?" Narayan looked familiar to the man, probably one of those kids in his egg tours. There had been an elephant boy and his father in one of the tours a while ago...
Nibal giggled. "Yeah, it starts itching and makes me feel kinda sick-like... I don't like that feeling..."

JD snapped his fingers. So THATS where this man was from. "The dragon man." realizing how stupid his description sounded, he grinned. "Yeah, he stills goes on about that meeting, so it's kind of hard to forget it entirely."
The boy. Still. It was better then his other obssession. JD was still trying to get used to the fact that he had been forced to have that conversation about breasts with his young son.
Breasts. Who'd have thought?
"Itchy?" Narayan leaned forewords, peering at the skin that was made visible around the head. He understood that kind of. When his skin felt itchy, JD put lotion or something like that on, a balm and then it wasn't itchy no more. "Maybe you need to be something on it? Like lotion?"
Lotion was good! It smelled nice and sweet. His aunts liked to use lotion.
