Base of Operations OOC If you have any questions, comments, concerns, suggestions, or anything else that you'd like to say that involves this subforum and it isn't in character, say it here.

No, this is just for OOC, the other one you can post in, but it's mainly for just a general description of all the other threads that will be here. This is just talking about whatever, really.
And since I am me, I obviously second that statement. cool

At first I was going to say that Fina bought me this hat (for which I still love her forever) but then I realized you were talking about that auction thing.
Nope, it got repossessed.

Oh, I've got a new 'requirement' that I'd like to try and enforce. Every RP post you make needs to have at least 500 words unless it's just something like responding "yes", in which case it'll need to be at least 250 words. I'd like to try and get the posts averaging up to about 1000 words.

Is there a program online that we can use?

The Commanding Officer is being 'tackled', Brian, would you just jog over to him and speak...without watching or observing? Just my thought. confused

1) Good point. In my new post I state that I pretty much ignore everything else but Alucard when he starts charging.
2) I posted. Yay. I'm really sorry that it took so long for me to get around to posting here. As I've bitched before, I've hardly even been home barring Christmas night and last night. (And today.) I'll try my hardest never to be the a*****e that keeps everyone else from posting again. At least, not for that long.
3) As said, try to make posts longer. I suppose I really should've made mine longer and try to make a good example, but oh well, wasn't really thinking of length when I wrote it. Try writing your posts in MS Word, and try to think about everything when you write your posts. How you feel, how everything seems and appears. Take interest into your surroundings and even the weather and whatnot. Obviously, the more you do, the more you can write about. It's very simple to be able to write a lot when you're doing complex fighting against multiple people and whatnot. A true challenge is learning to write a lot about walking down the street and/or sniffing a flower.

I understand that length allows more detail. But with multiple people describing the weather and the surroundings, it kind of becomes repetitive when everyone repeats what the others have said, adding in a small extra detail. confused
Also, sir, your last paragraph in your post seems to be...awkward. After you state your attack...you mention quite a bit afterwards on what would happen 'if' succesful. Such as putting Anderson to the defensive, taking steps back, as well as bringing in the outside world and thinking of yourself as a 'b*****d'. However, if Anderson responds in a way that your attack wasn't as 'succesful' as you'd thought...all that becomes non-existent and I think could be confusing. sweatdrop

1) I know, just trying to throw out some suggestions. I'm making an effort to bring the roleplaying in this guild more akin to an art than a clash of idiocy that runs rampart over most of Gaia. We're leagues beyond the worst of it, but there is still much that we can do. By trying to add more words in general, it forces the writer to think 'outside the box' (I hate that phrase, just so you know) and make more interesting posts. It allows for more detail and better reads. It's not a guideline or a rule or anything, just something I'd like to see achieved.
2) I know. Pretty much, the whole thing is supposed to be 'if successful'. Meaning, if he runs through with it, I'll still fall and none of that would happen. However, if I was just to post that one thing, then the fight would soon devolve into each of us making a single action only consisting of a few sentences at a time, which as mentioned before, is something I'm trying to avoid.
Thank you for your comments and criticisms though. I am always open to outside ideas and questionings of my actions and writings. Through our mistakes do we improve upon ourselves.
