Hi all you people out there this is the official thread for MKR! *hence the title*
um... in summary (a very bad summary, mind you) the show starts out when three schools go to Tokyo Tower and then the main characters (Umi, Fuu, and Hikaru) meet and then there is this weird hole thingie in the floor and they all fall through and land in this different land called Cephiro. Then (after wondering where they are for a while) they meet Clef and he tells them that they are "Magic Knights."
Thats about it. sorry for the crummy summary sweatdrop

Magic Knights Rayearth was my second official manga that I ever got sucked into...
The art completely took me away. ^ ^; I remember commenting on how I liked that style of art because it made them look more oriental... *and it was really an awesome style to me*
But I never did buy the manga until last year. o_O;;;;;;; Meh.
*this whole thing just brings nostalgia to me. ^__^;*
I remember looking around on an MKR site and at the bottom of it there was a picture of Miyuki-chan from Wonderland and a caption that said "If you like this, try some of CLAMP's other great works like Miyuki-chan in Wonderland!"
And I was like : " eek YOU MEAN THESE PEOPLE MADE ANOTHER MANGA BESIDES THIS ONE?!!?! O______O"
And... after that it was X/1999... XD and my journey into CLAMPdom began...
I love Hikaru. She is very much like me, *even the shortness... because I always feel like I'm short* and she's just too cool. ^__^;;; I like the way Umi's hair always flows like water. o_O; *yup*
Let's see... my friends really like Ascot..... and Eagle... and.... no one of us really likes Lantis. xd But Zagato looks awesome with his head gear off. o_O; *ya* I liked Zagato. He was alright. *nods*

Sorata-chan Hikaru is definately one of my favorite CLAMP characters. 3nodding She's mine too ^^ My friends say I'm too much like her ^^U Because of my hair, my hyper-ness, and because I'm funny and lovely. ...I hope that's a good thing and that I don't act too young for my age XD I'm 15, but still...

I liked the way it ended... Although I really don't like what they did with the Anime.... X__x; It was so different and really messed up the plot to the second half of Rayearth...
And the OVA was worse. o_O;;;;;;;;;;

I have seen the anime and read the second trilogy of the manga.
I think it is alright but not one of my favourites by CLAMP.
They really changed the second part in the anime, they made it much more insane.
My favourite of the three girls is probably Fuu. She is nice and clever. The other two sort of get on my nerves sometimes (no offense, just my opinion). I also love the relationship between Fuu and Ferio. It is so cute!

Magic Knight Rayearth is such an awesome anime and manga. I've seen the whole anime and all the manga. I loved it ^^ I like all the characters^_^

I am totally in love with Ascot i just love him cuz he's kawaii cute when he's short in the first season and completely HOT heart in the second season when he's tall 3nodding

MKR was the first CLAMP manga I had ever read. Fuu was my favorite character out of the three girls. Umi pissed me off so much. She was so whinny and annoying in the begining. I'm glad she matured by the end of it. Hikaru's cute, but I still like Fuu better. I was in love with Ascot; his eyes are just so cute, but then I saw Eagel and Lantis and I was like drool.... I own the first season of MKR and I've seen most of the second season. I'm being a little bit of a hypocite, but I like Hikaru's voice in the dubbed better than her original Japanese voice. The dubbed makes her sound cuter.

MKR was the second CLAMP series that I ever got drawn into--at first, I didn't know it was by CLAMP till a month after I bought the manga xd !
When I first saw the manga, I was still a noob of an anime fan and once I saw the manga, I simply had to buy it! I'm a sucker for pretty stuff (especially artwork) and MKR artwork was just so brilliant that I had to buy it! Funny thing is...I bought the second volume rather than the first xd !! And the second volume was how I got into the whole manga/anime series LOL!
I simply love the whole plot--it was quite lovely and just so...page-turning! heart My favorite character has got to be Umi--even though I thought she wasn't the coolest character at the beginning (when I actually read the 1st volume xd ) but then, as I read more--I thought she was cool. On top of all of that--I like how she looks! whee Her hair rocks! 3nodding
Also, I really do love how each one of the knights represent their element--well, physically and personality wise. For example, Hikaru's hair is red and it almost looks like flames in a way--her eyes are red too and as for her personality, she does tend to have a burning passion for err...everything it seems xd therefore representing her element of Fire! Umi's hair really does look like the ocean-- eek not just because it's blue but, in most CLAMP MKR artworks, her hair is done so wave-like and curly at the end that it seriously looks like water in a way biggrin . Personality-wise, she can be as calm as the ocean and when she gets angry--she can be really terrifying all of a sudden like the ocean's tidal waves therfore representing her element of Water.
And Fuu-chan--aiyee her hair's so curly and she has such a refined, calm nature around her--not to mention that her personality is refined as well. In terms of personality, Fuu is very strong and never gives up--she can also be fierce when she wants to--just like the wind and how, at first, it can be just a small breeze and then errupt into a blistering blow.
Well, o_o; that's my littlle input about this fantabulous anime/manga! Hoped that it didn't bore you guys sweatdrop heart
