Hey doods! I seen the Eragon movie. Overall it was awesome but they left out so many important parts! If I hadn't read the book, I would've gotten confused! What did you guys think of the movie?

Durza was getting uglier and uglier through the whole thing and Saphira is not supposed to have a near death experiance! The movie was way too short but still good...

Aw man, I just love ranting about how much this movie- Forgive me please- sucked.
Now, don't get me wrong! Nothing is to blame on the actors, they were rather good! I just feel sorry for Ed Speelers who's acting career had to start out this way. And the scenery was fine too, but they just left out TOO MANY IMPORTANT PARTS, AND CHARACTERS TOO!
Where is Katrina? Where is Solembum? The Hadarac Desert? Yazuac? Teirm? The Cathedral?! That was a semi-important part. ....Like people said, they mushed in all those places together. (Except for the Hadarace desert, which wasn't seen at all)
Now, I shall rant about Eragon's farm, and Garrow's death.
In the novel, the farm is supposed to already be half burnt down by the Ra'zac (Who look nothing like the Ra'zac are supposed to) Not by Brom! And Garrow doesn't just have a few sticks on him...he has a couple of large planks, and not to mention the special oil used by the Ra'zac to kill people!
Murtagh's scar now:
It was PUNY!
It was supposed to reach from his shoulder all the way down to his hip.
And the Varden... No plants.
Where's the Dragonhold? What the heck happened with the battle? Arya and Saphira were supposed to :: Censors incase people haven't read the entir book yet::
And Durza had the most plain expression on his face when he got shot in the head with an arrow. Wasn't he supposed to show some sort of pain at all?
Eragon obtained no scar like Murtagh's at all during his battle with Durza.
And everything in the battle scene went by too fast.
Seriously, my friends and I were laughing out heads off the whole movie, (When every character started to miraculously be able to jump high and fly, or bounce high as if they were rubber) Some guy even turned around and asked us angrily if we were going to do this the whole movie.
Now, enough of my rant of badness.
Rant of Goodness
Saphira was well done! In my opinion. Eragon, Ed Speelers, did a very good job for a beginning of his acting career. Infact, all the actors did well. (There may have been few times where they didnt) Scenery was great
I'd say, that if I had never read the book before, I'd probably maybe give this movie... a seven? Even eight perhaps.
But I have to give this movie an extra point- for making the Ra'zac look like demented ninjas.<- (sorry for the stereotype of ninjas wearing black and jumping high and stuff)

the movie was pretty good overall, but like it appears everyone says, they left out a lot. I am glad they stuck with Saphira speaking with her mind, that kinda mde up for a few things they left out in the begining.

In the book Eragon and Saphira have a strong relationship but in this movie they act like: "Ok, we're partners but you just stay away from me!"

Anyways, like up earlier, the movie was bad compared to the book.
But unlike the book the movie at the beginning said BASED on the book, Eragon by Paolini.
They took the main concept and ruined it.
Well, the one part I did like was the beginning at the farm. Saphira looked so cute and small blaugh also just the way she talked to Eragon while flying trying to get away from the farm was pretty good for some reason. It's mostly the caring and hatred of him being so idiotic.

you guys are making me not want to see the movie as much. but almost always the director ruins the book by the liberties he takes though there are a few exceptions. thats why movies are better most of the time if they are not based off books.
