As was his usual daily ritual, August ran about, galloping beyond his limit and jumping over fallen logs. He had created for himself an obstacle course, one which, he figured, had every hazard save for slippery ice that he might encounter when he finally climbed the mountain. There were stumps, logs, large rocks he had placed, and even some smaller pebble piles which he jumped upon. There were no air hazard, a most unfortunate fault in his training course, but he did speed fly about the fruit tree forests, dodging branches and other Nequus as he went along. The whole thing was mainly to train up his strength, but was also to push him past things he would not usually do. Courage was something any creature who planned to brave the mountain needed, and by pushing past his comfort zone, he could raise his own steadily.

Condifdently, the golden brown Reya galloped at full speed around the course, skidding on the rocks and gliding over the logs with great ease. It was becoming second nature, this route he took, and he wondered as he raced if he should switch everything up a bit. After a quick and all too easy finish, he decided that it was indeed time to move around the obstacles. Trotting, with an air of his large ego, over to one of the logs, he started rolling it across the field to a new location. After it had been placed, he delved into the work of moving about all the other logs and the much heavier rocks. Yeah, it could take a while.

Lamya Indira was laying by a lake making sure every part of her appearance was perfect and her vanity was saited. The filly was sleek and black with red spots. She gave a sweet smile at the water and made sure that too was perfect. She was muscualr yet perfectly shaped she could play devious like her mother yet she was as cruel and strong as he father or would be anyway. A distant galloping caught her attention perhaps there was someone to 'play with' there. She smirked.

The filly stood and cantered her way through the forest, mm she was pretty good a leaping over logs. Her legs were long and that helped she was the daughter of an arab and a war horse. Her pride swelled. Beauty as well as ability she was the most perfect bae of all.

She broke through he thick trees and saw an... well she didn't quite know what it was. It certainly was the first of them she had ever seen after all she had only been around for a little while. She flicked her black ears "Hello?" she called innocently, well atleast he would make a perfect target, make some 'friends' to minipulate. "Who are you?" she asked sweetly.

The stallion busied himself with pushing a small boulder to it's new location, and moving about the little pebbles as to make a steep incline up an unmovable larger rock. Yes, that would do. He stepped back to survey his work, slightly out of breath and sweaty. The foam forming on his golden brown back was not bothersome, however, for it was the sign of a job well done.

Just as we was looking over the new course, movement stirred behind him, comming from the forest. It was odd, truely, for he usually had complete solitude on days like these, and could do just about anything he pleased without being bothered. The voice that sang out to him was enough to capture curiosity at least for a moment, and he turned about to see a bae emerging from the trees. Oh dear. Not one of them? Though he had never actually seen any of the infamously cruel family, he had heard well of them, and of thier blessing of three foals. Or perhaps it was a curse instead? Rather, a curse for the rest of the Nequus that were so sad as to be in the path of any of the pride creatures' rages.

Play it cool, boy, play it cool. August could most certainly handle a physical assult, though he was almost certain a filly even of her liking would not be so stupid as to attempt to take on a full grown stallion. Though she was stronger and more vicious than your average youngster, it would be near impossible for her to actually beat someone larger and stronger than her. Not to mention older. "Hey there, little girl." He added emphasis on the last two words, knowing full well that this was going to end up as a mind game. With an ego far too big to be taken down by any real insult, he thought it best to gain the upper hand in jump right in without really throwing around names.

Lamya caught his hesiation as brief as it was, she hadn't met anyone yet he some how already knew about her, mmm was it that damn Storm? she wondered she had only heared about the mare from her parents and was told to stay away from her, he had been touched by her already so he wasn't worth her time cause her attempts would probally fail. The stallion said something and stressed 'little girl' oh so he would play along with her, that was intresting.

Lamya smiled still playing although she didn't know why she did "You met Storm didn't you," She said in a cheerful manner "It was obvious in your hesitation to speak to me." Lamya Indira flicked her red tail well no reason to go all out now the filly thought. Golden eyes sized up the stallion if he would be worth trying on when she was older and could actually fight. "Well My name is Lamya." the obsidian filly said her voice still sweet, and innocent.

Well she mayhave a huge ego but no one could ever say she was ugly, one of the most beautiful female bae ever. Well she would play a mind game with him perhaps she could convince him she wasn't like her brother and she had run away. "I may have pride but I'm not like my siblings. I wouldn't hurt a fly I ran away from my family!" she told him right off the bat.

ooc ;; oooo, this could get FUN. xD

The stallion smirked at the comment, knowing full well of the feud between Storm and the family of Baes. He flicked his tail, turning around completely to face the filly with an amused expression. "And if I did know this mare you speak of, would it have any weight on our conversation?" His voice was unusually honey-coated, for he knew what this would turn out to be. The pair would likely play a game such as the one they were getting caught up in for some time, and then they would both move away in hatred and disgust. It wasn't likely that either would meet up again for sometime after such an event, so he might as well make it worth while, right?

Lamya. Now that was something August did not know. His knowledge only went as far as to the parents' infamous names and state of being; a war horse and an arabian. He hardley acknowledged the title, however, and only offered his own name out of a need for manners in the conversation. There was such a void where there should've been something more structured and polite, that he couldn't let the usual please and thank yous leave. "And I am August. And I don't beleive you for a second." Her ridculous story of not being like her family almost made him laugh aloud, but he held it in as best he could. That entire family was a rotten lot, and it was a sad Nequus that thought any different.

Lamya shook her head "No" she smiled "I was actually looking for storm." she lied well. she pranced over to the Stallion as proud as he was she doubted he would hurt her as long as she didn't strike physically, She knew far to well how proud stallions worked. "Well I wished you did. belive me" she sighed and pretended to be hurt " thats fine I guess trust must be earned right" she smiled and then wandered to sit under a tree "Can I watch you run your course?" she asked intently "It looks really intresting" and she would get to see the power of a Reya.

She flicked her tail "It's a true pleasure to meet you August, I've never met a Reya before" she smiled flicking her ears back she waited for his answer. Well this would be an intresting thing indeed he would be fun to play mind games with, more than just her brother to play with and her skitterish sister which she found strange.

((indeed it could))

And here, the fall of every great stallion who has been cursed with a prideful flaw. The oppurtunity to show off, even to a lowly creature such as the Bae filly, was far too great to let slip away. He grew uncomfrotable, stamping his hoof into the hardening ground, waging an internal war. On one side, he wanted desperatley to show anything as far as he had come with his training, and on the other side, he knew there was something wrong with fratrenizing with Lamya.

And the pride had won. With an irritated snort, August rounded about, strutting towards the beginning of a newly laid course. He looked confidently on and began. Round the corners and over the logs, his bat wings stretched and flew about as if they were to keep him on balance. In a single motion, he climbed the steep and rocky slope and then over the boulder, the very last obsticale to be dealt with, and landed nimbley below the rocky course. He looked on with an air of arrogance, as if to ask the filly to complete such a complicated thing in her young age. He knew quite well that his size and constant training and practice were the reasons he could do such a thing with hardley a sweat broken, and he also knew it was quite unreasonable to make her run the route. With a puff, he smirked. "And you might never meet one again. We keep to our own."

Lamya smirked inwardly she wouldn't show her success outright. She watched pretending to be amazed at how strong and graceful he was while he was training. "Wow!" she said amazed “You are so good at your course! I’d try if I was better” she smiled “But I could probably never be as good as you are!” giving him admiring eyes. Lamya tossed her head and reared “Can I train with you?” she asked

“Well I must be really lucky then!” she said excitedly “It’s really an honor to meet you August!”

If he had been a wiser, older Reya, he might've noticed the snare he had fallen deeply into. If he had a slightly smaller ego, he might have realized that the compliments were entirely fake. He was neither of these, however, and the Bae's words only inflated him. "I train alone, little one." He held his head high above her, smirking proudley. If Storm had been there, she probablley would've killed him for being so naive and purely stupid, but alas, she was not there, and poor August had no idea what was going on.

"Yes yes, you are quite lucky. Usually, we don't associate with Baes. Especcially of your family." With that last sentence, despite his stupidity, something clicked in his young mind. He did not fully understand the situation he had been placed in, but he knew something was terribley wrong. A glare was shot at Lamya, and he stomped his foot with anger. "Why have you come here, wicked thing?"

Lamya would have smirked but if she did it probably would have blown her cover. Look at him beaming from her compliments his ego expanded enormously. Hah! It was so stupid. Lamya just smiled and gawked pretending to be amazed. “Awww it would have been and honor to train under you” she sighed longingly. “I am glad I have such luck” she smiled

“I came to watch you,” she said pretending to cringe. “You are amazing!” Lamya said with a slight trembling. The black bae would keep her act up even though she hated this bowing down to this stupid arrogant stallion. Heh she already knew how to play him, inflate his ego! And the rest would fall into place. "I'm not wicked!" she cried tears begining to form in her little golden eyes.

With a smirk, the stallion flicked his pointed tail and stomped again. "You're right, you aren't wicked." He paused a moment for effect. "You're far worse... you're vile." He shot a glare at the filly, loosing total interest in the conversation they had been having. All he wanted to do at that point was train, and train hard. He had no need to entertain the Bae with his tragic flaw of enourmous pride, and he had no need to babysit. "Why did you come here, filly? I am amazing, it's true, but that is little reason for one of your type to come watch me train. What is your purpouse on this world? Do you only live for torture?" He paused once more, a glint of sorrow for the creature before him flashing through his eyes. "If that is the reason for your exsistence, then I am truely sorry." What a sad state of being, if it were only for evil.

Lamya began to tear up "Why say such thing!" she cried. Of course she was wicked but she would hang on to this act untill she couldn't no more. Perhaps she could use his pride against him again. She pondered over this thought in her mind. Damn storm if she hadn't told any one about them there would have been no problems! Damn that mare! She Shrunk away from the stallions glare no matter how much she wanted to shoot one right back.

Alas the stallion had completly lost intrest in her act. Shoot she thought privatly to herself her hate for storm growing again that mare spoils everything. Lamya changed her posture and raised herself up high proud, strong and deceptive. She glared right back at him. "Heh you are no more amazing than a Rock." Lamya said boldly "I've seen bae more strong and agile than you!" She shot at him trying to damage his pride.

Lamya didn't quite fail in her act if He hadn't met Storm before things would have gone much better but sadly it was a minor set back, something easily fixed on some one else. "And what would a stupid stallion such as yourself know about the forest of Casa Tiner?" she smkired raising her head "I care not for them, I'd rather not get lost in there." she grinned darkly "Although who would care if you did?" she questioned then added sharply "No one!" she laughed in his face.

"No need to be sorry for me you pathetic fool," Lamya laughed at him again before turning to leave. She didn't need this prideful fool to do her work. Lamya turned her head over her shoulder and gave a smile full of malice as she trotted off.

Rather than lower himself any farther as to join her childish game, he just stood there and took the verbal beating with as much dignity as he could muster. When she was finally finished, he let her walk away without so much as calling out an insult, and turned back to what he had been doing originally. She was a sad creature, sadder than Storm had ever let on. Somewhere at the bottom of his heart, he had an ounce of humility. It was just an ounce, a hard earned one that had taken him a long while to gain. It was burried under layers of ego and pride, but it was there. And in that ounce of humility, there was pity for the bae filly. She had no choice in life, no good start. She had been born into evil and would be raised by evil, and only evil could come of it. With a sigh, he went back to adjusting his course in peace.
