Paws made little indents in the ground as Amai tried her best to figure out where she was going. It wasn't that easy since she had no clue, but the little cheetah figured that eventually she'd find her place. Eventually she'd have a clue.
In fact the only clue she had to anything right now would be that she wanted to heal. That was it.
Sweet Pumpkin, the name was scathing almost, she wasn't sweet at all, in fact she was rather bouncy if anything. Amai Kabocha just wanted to see the world, not be called sweetheart and hang around her family's little grove. No, she wanted to do something in life. She wanted to fix her quest and go out with a bang, to meet someone that could teach her how and where and when to do stuff.
The fact that she was still just a cub didn't dawn on her yet. ninja

Jaha simply looked at Amai as she walked in his direction and continued to stare at the beautiful silver fish swimming with grace and poise. He adored nature and all of its sounds and beauty. Jaha tends to listen to anyone who talks to him and makes the shortest replies as he can until he knows them and knows that they are persistant enough to talk as he listens.((Sorry, I haven't RPed much so I still need practice sweatdrop ))

Green eyes snapped up to look at the large red and white lion before her, the fact that the male was huge almost made the tiny cheetah ease away from him slowly. He was watching the fish in a little river that he was next to, which intreigued her.
Normally whenever her mother had stared at fish she'd lunged and eaten them in almost the same movement.
"Um.. whatcha doin mister?" Amai asked slowly, easing towards him, ready to run if it turned bad. ninja

Jaha looked at the cheetah and replied shortly,"watching and listening". There was something about this cheetah that seemed to make him feel a little more comfortable than others. He gave her a small quick smile and shifted his eyes to a nesting bird.

"You can learn a lot from it right?" Amai asked slowly, warming up to the larger male a little as he seemed to be nicer than the other lions she'd met. Maybe it could help her with her love of wanting to heal.
A fish ran along the edge of a rock and Amai reached out with a paw and tapped it's tail, only to be smacked with it.
"I'm Amai Kabocha... what's your name?" ninja

Jaha paused for a minute, wondering if he could trust this cheetah. She seemed so innocent, he couldn't seem to figure out why he felt so warmly tword her. He sighed, still pondering. "It's Jaha", he said quietly as he gave a little stroke to the fish Amai has touched with his large, gentle paw, it didn't seem to mind. Jaha was so calm and quiet, that animals weren't afraid of him.

Amai was often considered far too boistrous, so happy and peppy that being around a calm lion like this made her feel slightly uncomfortable. Maybe it was that she needed to calm down in order to be a healer, something just told her that she needed it.
"Jaha... that's cool." Amai said slowly as she reached out to touch another fish. She of course realized that since she was a cheetah with claws that weren't retractable she'd have a few issues, but that wasn't entirely her fault. ninja

He paused for another moment. He could tell she wanted the animals not to be afraid of her. He wondered if he should help her or if he was becoming to close to her. Something inside him, a father-like feeling gave him a little nudge to help her. "I'll trust you this time" he said to the voice in his head silently. He sighed and said quietly with his paw in the water as he munched on some fruit."Because you have claws, put your paw in the water for a bit so they know you're here but don't want to hurt them. Then you can gently pet them with the back of your paw"

Green eyes flashed brightly and Amai immediatly stuck her paw lightly down in the water, a large grin on her playful muzzle. Fish nibbled at her claws and smacked at her paw with their fins. The little cheetah grinned brightly down at them before twisting and beaming up at Jaha.
"Thanks!" She said brightly, her little striped tail wagging furiously with how happy she was. ninja

"You're welcome." he said very quietly.
He couldn't help but wonder why this little cheetah wasn't afraid of him and run away from him like everyone else. This is why he had resorted to be a gentle giant. He didn't want to hurt anybody else.
He was a bit surprised when he wouldn't act very friendly to Amai, she would still talk to him and show him great kindness and greatfulness.
So he decided to be a bit kinder to Amai. Instead of hardly looking at her he would look at her when she talked to him and when he talked to her. He also give her a small smile.

Amai had never really met a lion before, so she'd never actually had a reason to be afraid of any of them. Having been raised by a blind father and a loving mother, she'd known nothing but peace and happiness when she was very small.
She'd been taught when she was younger that when her father talked she should look and pay attention, he did the same thing with his ears after all. So every time Jaha said anything at all she would divert all her attention towards him in order to be respectful.
Her little tail kept wagging and she turned back to the fish silently, a large smile plastered on her white muzzle. ninja

His father-like feeling was coming back. "You should really be kinder to her espesially at her age. She wants to have a friend not someone who doesn't even look at her!" the fatherly feeling said in his head.
"I guess it's worth a try, but if she rus away, I'm blaming you!" he replied in his head.
He gave her a slightly bigger smile and gave her back a stroke and quickly pulled back his paw in case she didn't like it and lunged at him. He now had a odd expresion on his face.
He was wondering if he should have done that.

Amai hadn't been petted on her back in a long while, her father used to pet her head which had always made her purr, but to be petted on the back?
The little cheetah simply purred and wagged her tail faster. It reminded her of her father, but then the large red and white male sort of reminded her of Korou in a way too, just some of the things he did and said. It made Amai happy to be honest, a grin crossing her muzzle as she slowly moved her paw to stroke a fish.
It didn't slap her, wich made the little orange and white and black cheetah almost squeal with happiness. ninja

Happy to hear her purr and see her so happy made him feel very content. It made him feel satisfied that she trusted him and she seemed to be easy enough to trust. She seemed so happy to be with him as if she had been best friends with him all of her life. He smiled a bit wider and stroked her again.

Purring louder and wagging her tail just like her father did, Amai kept playing with the fish and giggling.
It wasn't every day that the little healer cub found something so wonderful as this, to be curled up beside a large white and red male playing with fish. It was really simple but she didn't entirely mind how simple it was. It was fun. ninja
