This is a thread for straight allies to just come and talk about pretty much anything. Honestly, from what you ate for breakfast to issues to hot people and for people to come and talk to straight allies in a friendly environment.

I'll start off...
Does anyone else have problems with people immediately saying "Why, are you gay?" when it comes up that you care about gay rights?
That happens to me all the time. It's so stupid! Do they think I should be fine with racism just because I'm white? (Yes, I realize there can be racism against whites, but I'm sure you get my point.)

It's so stupid! Do they think I should be fine with racism just because I'm white? (Yes, I realize there can be racism against whites, but I'm sure you get my point.) I totally understand that. When I say that gay marriage should be legalized, people look at me and say "Why? Do you have some lesbian lover hidden away?" I always shake my head in disgust because people don't seem to understand that you can be straight and still care about the rights of others. Just because you care about their rights doesn't make you gay, nor does it make you bad. It's rediculous, the biases people have.

Yes, like my friend telling his gay rights supporting sister that he "doesn't want a lesbian in his family."

Though I really don't get that kind of thing from people at school (unless they're real d**k heads and butt in on my conversation) but I do from my family once in a while. My great grandmother has accused me of being 'gay' 5 times. *shakes head* It just gets to be a little hard. Though I work though it. I'm a proud member of the GGSA & my schools GSA. Alot of things don't get to me anymore because I'm reminded about how most America's are closed minded d**k heads who don't want to hear anyone elses point of view. talk2hand ( See sig ) I simply brush them off and tell them to get a shovle becasue they'll need it seeing how far their head is up their a**.

I don't like it how alot of people use the term gay to mean stupid or wrong or anything like that. I get called gay all the time for both meanings with no good intent whatsoever. I really thinkthese people need to grow up. anyone else have this problem?

Over the years, people have stopped calling me gay... instead, they started dissin' my buddies, to me, based on their religion, gothic appearance, sexualities, etc.
---
I've noticed something: You have a single person, that person is smart. you add another, they're smarter. Add any more to the group, they begin to get dumber and dumber until the group will support nearly anything the group's leader says, due to groupthink.
Our social tendancies are a social disease.

So THAT's how our society got to be so confusing and stupid....that and a pinch of racism and a dash of inbreeding...

I don't realy campain that much for gay rights around here in the "real wolrd". I'm to much of a withdrawn loner... I did sand up for gay rights once in citizenship class I think we were disscusing discrimination but I carn't rember exacly. What I do rember is one kid saying "go on sand up for the gays"... evil What a homophobe. I hate my community.
Oh and BerylAlexandros can I use your hosted version of the "dear Mr.bush" marrage banner in my sig, or do I have to re-host it myself? cry

Kohki Neocode No! Bad Mr. president! No warmongering! Add either "No more cocaine for you!" or "No cookie!" to the end, or some varient. ...Or not. Either way, it's funny. lol Hmm hey I have an Idea. Somebody on the phpbb forum I think came up with a way to make a randomising avatar(this is on a froum where you can use an image as an avatar) he/she used the link to image feature and then used a .htaccess(I think that was it) file to redirect the link to the "image" to a .php file that randomised an image. I chould take the same princible and put it in my sig and just make it randomise an ending xd oh and I aggre Kohki's sig To HELL with the Sushi Database! And you spelt my user name as "neocode" in the quote. It's neo ncode whee
