I was just wondering if anyone else thought the fights were just to short. I dont mean the romance fights, I mean the Hero versus the Villian fights. I mean take General Zod. They spent a whole 3 months it seemed leading up to his release and then in one episode he confronts Kal El (Clark) for the first time and then sends Kal El to the Phantom Zone. Kal El Spends a episode there and then escapes and defets Zod all in the following episode.
The one hit wonders like the Plant Lady, Tht one Zoner played by Batista, and the many MANY other meteor freaks can get short little battles but the importnt villians like Zod, Lex, Dr. Fine, etc. They should have a longer battle.

Yea I've been disappointed this season too. Especially with the Zod fight. I started to get into it Kryptonian vs. Kryptonian ((well in some sense lol)) and then it was over. Not that the fights have ever been lengthy before but still this season if you blink then you miss them. That fight with the farmer wasnt even a fight it was just Clark won thats it. I wanna see Clark actually kick some a** damnit.

Yeah I think they should concentrate more on the main storyline too.

Well, they have a smaller budget these days.
The thing is, if they didn't waste money having Clark use his powers when he doesn't really need to, they could give us some better fight sequences.

I agree like everyone said the Zod fight was very dissapointing but I kind of expected Clark to get his a** kicked sense Zod is a soldier and all. But the one thing that REALLY bothers me is that Martha and Lionel never thought about using Kryptonite on Zod/Lex. Sure it would have been a risk telling Lana that it's his only weakness but she would have done it anyways in a situation like this.

Zod fight= lame...however, if we turn our attention to the fourth season where Lana is brainwashed by Brainwave... watching Lana and Chloe go at it was awsome!!! Kick Lanas a**! (Sorry to the Lana lovers out there)

She told Lex about it, and told him to use it against Fine, but that didn't work. If it didn't work on him, why would it work on Zod?

Green Arrow 101 Because Fine ws created by kryptonians. Zod had kryptonian blood I don't think Lana knew that; even if she did, there was no reason for her to think it was significant. Besides, Zod was in Lex's body, which was modified to have Kryptonian-esque powers; kryptonite wouldn't necessarily have worked on him.
