How does techno and modern go together. Anyway Industrial is an intense form of techno and therefor owns! It's got more of a metal feel to it at times.

er... well modern day music is new rock, nu metal, rap, and whatever else people are listening too. This thread should really be techno and Industrial.

:Wumpscut: and Daft Punks are my two favorite bands from both genres. They are opposites though and Daft Punk has poorer lyrics but I like them anyway.

Daft punk is good. I know their lyrics kinda suck but the songs are awesome and really catchy.

Without the lyrics the songs are a lot better. mainly because the voices are robotic and unattractive to people. While with industrial like :Wumpscut:, KMFDM, Skinny Puppy, and Funker Vogt. You get human voices that are definitly easier to listen to, and Funker Vogt added levels to the robotic voice so it sounds good.
