Standing in the medow was Hitnaie,snow piled up to her ankles.It was rather thick today but Hitanie liked the cold weather it was wonderfullDiging into the gound with her sharp hooves Hitanie pulled up somes grass and eat it quietly.Her left ear perking up for it was the only one that could do so.She was listening to all around her and protecting her fawn in the prosess.Her tail flickered slightly.Tuging out more grass Hitanie set it on the ground''Feanaro..here is some food..''Hitanie turnd her head to look at her son.A smile on her face he was Herens gift to her and Pride.And a wonderfull gift it was.For Feanaro was gifted not only with a sacred marking but the gift of speaker.

Feanaro jerked his head up from the snow. some of the flakes still sticking to his muzzle as he looked around ears perked up excitedly. "Yaay!" he giggled
prancing over to his mother. though rather clumsily.
tripping over his own legs he fell to the ground and slid on the snow stopping under him mothers front legs
"oops" he said gawking up at him mom.
"I fell"
Pride had felt an extra boost since his son was born. he could not have been more proud. though he spent most of this time doing his Outriders duties. his mind was primarily on his new family, often times when he was standing on a ledge. looking out over the meadows. he would seek out the small forms oh his mate and calf. and watch them play or look for food.

Hitanie laughed slightly and smiled''Poor Fenaro..''Stepping back Hitanie nudged her son up with her muzzle''Be careflull...I dont want my little one getting hurt..''Hitanie nuzzled Feanaro and pushed the food over to him with her muzzle.Taking her head to the sky she gazed around the hilltops trying to spot her mate finnaly seeing him Hitanie smiled a smile of no other.''Pride..''She muttered to herself then looked down to Feanaro''You see that Outrider up there..do you know who he is..''Hitanie said smiling at her calf and watching him

Feanaro nodded to his mother and got to his feet as her nudge. prancing over to the food and starting to eat.
at his mother second question he looked up curiously, grass falling out of his mouth as he gaped up at there she has nodded toward.
a Stag? he could not see a stag. narrowing his eyes a little bit trying to look for what his mother was talking about.
"where mama?" he asked. not yet used to see something that far away "who is it?"

Hitanie smiled looking at Feanaro''he is your father..''Hitanie stood over her calf warming him up a little.''Maybe you cant see him so far away, but he is a great stag who loves you..''Hitanie smiled looking to Feanaro a smile so sweet and kind.The wind gushed past hitting her fur slightly.Hitanie looked around and dug into the ground getting food out for herself.Biting it and gulping it up, Hitanie looked around''Feanaro, you promise me something?''Hitanie said looking to her calf'' You promise that no matter how old you get and how handsom, that you dont get big headed..because sometimes that can get you hurt..and that will mkae me sad..''Hitanie nuzzled her son rubbing her cheek against his''Because mommy dose not want anything to happen to her little one..''One small tear driped off her cheek''Mommy loves you..''

"father?" Feanaro repeated curiously, looking up at where his mother had looked to. large blue eyes blinking curiously up at his mother.
he giggled softly as she lowered her head to nuzzle him. not really understanding what she was saying. but he understood that it was important to her "ok mommy".
he blinked as he felt the tear.
"why mommy crying?" he asked licking the tear off of her cheek.

the young Calf hopped happily, prancing clumsily after his mother, keeping sure to stay close to her like she told him. though with a glance every now and then to the hills where his mother had said his father was.
he didn't see his father often. he was always away, doing his duties as other would say. he wondered for a moment why his father had to be away, and wondered what it would be like if his daddy was around as much as mommy.
it was then that he caught the sight of something gleaming. mouth falling open slightly in puzzlement, he finally saw the form of an Adult Stag standing on the ledge. gasping as he recognized him he hoped forward "MAMA! MAMA! I fou- OOF" once again, not watching where he was going, the young Calf stumbles in the snow, falling to the ground.
Pride held his head up elegantly, watching with a swell of fondness as his Family started moving across the meadow, smiling brightly as he noted how elegant they both looked. he could not have found a more Beautiful Mate then Hitanie, and there could not be a more beautiful Calf then Feanaro. he would be willing to up hold that statement. that they where the most beautiful family in the herd.
though his warm fuzzy feelings did not last. ears swiveling to the side, he jerked his head down toward the mouth of the forest. something was not right.

Hitanie suddenly looked up,her almost purple eyes scanning the forest''..feanaro get close and shush..something i not right..''Hitanie listend with the ear that worked.her eye continued to look,looking up she saw crows take to the sky and fly fast out of the forest''...Feanaro..back to the thicket now...''Hitanie nudged her son forwared and nudged him again''Feanaro run..''Hitanie looked back sharply to the forest hearing things, like rustling and loud foot steps.Hitanie nudged hima gain''feanaro man is in the forest..''

at the change of his mothers tone he became a bit concerned. though he did not say a word, and imedietly drew closer to his mothers side.
his heart leaped as his mother's urgency only grew, though he did not know what man was, he knew it could not be good. running as fast as he could with his mother, spearing only a moment to glance up to where his father had been standing. only to find the ledge completely empty.
"mama" he said in his own fright, trying to keep moving as fast as he could
Ryes Perks her ears forward, opening her jaws and letting out a long drawn out bawl. her master behind her, she drive forward into the thicket. drawing out birds her master later shot down with his arrows. only to spot the real prize. a hind, and her calf.
she could hear her master yelling something to her. but the excitement in her chest drive her forward. youth, often the very downfall of a life, though Sun Ryes was very fortunate to have luck, and a very good sence of smell. for when the pronged horns of a full grown outrider appeared out of nowhere from her side. she shifted her wight to the side, just enough to avoid getting caught up in the thorny net.
getting as much distance as she could from the Stag, only to see the Large gleaming beast advancing on her once again. bellowing loudly in anger and stamping his shimmering hooves on the ground by Ryes,

Soon Hitanie stopped dead in her tracks, hearing the camotion going on behind her.''Pride..''She spoke, fear in her eyes, turning her head to look at her mate she stopped dead still, not moving.How could she, after all the one she loved was saving her and his son.''Be safe..my love..''Hitane began to run again.Leaping over logs,bolting through rivers. Hitanie ran near Feanaro, keeping him safe and making sure nothing would happen to him.Hitanie saw the thicket and smiled.
Slowly running across rocky hills, beside the Hind and her calf, was Nita. Nita was dead on there tracks and ready to get them.She continued to run, nearly the pace the two deer were running, her eyes facing the direction that the deer were running.''Hmm..''Nita leaped over a rock or two, she skidded down hills, yet still went on running after the two.

Feanaro tried to keep up with his mother, huffing hard, the cold air stinging his lungs as she tried to keep moving.
He was fast, something he picked up from both his parents, he was also very little, and unbalanced.
He had done well up to that point, when his tired legs caught of a root, And the young Calf when tumbling to the ground. Legs flailing in the air, until he finally came to rest, covered in snow and sitting up, dazed.
it took him a moment to register what happened. But by the time he did, he noticed something else. His little heat beat very fast, as a creature, he had never seem before was following there movements up on the ledge.
Ears flattening back eyes widening in horror. He had never seen a creature like this before. It was on two legs, and no wings like a bird. And it was big!
He tried to say something, call for his mother, but was stunned into silence.
Pride continued to drive the wolf like best back.
But hearing a very unwelcome sound, the shout of man.
Pride turned his head to see one of the man's males, drawing the string of his weapon.
With out hesitation Pride bellowed out, turned tail and ran.
The arrow let loose just barely missing his hide as he dashed away, bring embedded in the snowy ground instead.
Pride did not stop, something in the air was still not right. He needed to find his family.
