i know we're not supposed to date until we're sixteen and all, and we're not supposed to go on dates to the movies, and i'm not sure that i truly believe all the stuff in the gospel yet, but i need help! i'm 15 and am ReAlLy friendly with my one guy-friend. he's nice, but i'm not sure i like him that way, and today, he gave me a really pretty necklace for christmas. on wednesday he asked me to go with him to this thing that me and my friends are planning. we're planning on going to see A Night At the Museum or whatever and then we're going out to eat after that. i don't know what to do! help! gonk

Well so long as you stay with the group, I don't see any problems. Just keep in mind where you want to end up and everything will go well. Carry a picture of the temple in your pocket if you want a reminder. A night at a museum sounds great! Course I'm a history buff adn have never been on a date, but who cares!! Just remember the standards and remember where you want to go. So long as you know that, there won't be any real problems. And when did anyone say don't go to the movies on a date?! Sure it isn't creative or cool or anything, but I never heard that as a rule, and any new rule from church is nearly always heard at my house. Sure your parents didn't make that one up? Or someone else?

i think you should be okay if your going with a group. but stay with that group. dont let yourself get into a situation you can't get out of. I am speaking from experince here. even if you say nothing will happen. sometimes you slip up. so yeah stay with the group and have fun.
