I do think we shall see more of the boudilars and the Quagmier triples. but it will not from our friend L.S. for he has closed the book a frase withc here means "stoped writing in order to keep his sanity" but maybe a ne asociat will write the woeful tails

Now comes the investigation to at least try and answer those twenty other questions that arose... Should be fun. 3nodding

I noticed his biography at the end of the book says "Lemony snicket is still at large."
Hmm.

Well, we try to answer those questions! Yay!
And Horseradish is coming out in May.
Volunteers should look into Daniel Handler's other books (especially The Basic Eight) while they wait for more books written under the name of Lemony Snicket.

I say we wait for 'Horseradish' to come out.
On the topic of Handler's books, are they as witty as ASOUE? When I read the blurb on 'Watch Your Mouth', it was all about incest, to which I went "ulgh..." and put the book down. Is 'The Basic Eight' funny? Interesting? Not too raunchy?

I haven't read Watch Your Mouth, as the incest thing turned me off. However, the Basic Eight is an amazingly awesome book with lots of unexpected twists and stuff. Interesting? Yeah, it's got a hooking plot. Its humour is more sarcastic wit stuff, but it's got jokes in there too. Raunchy? Hmm, not really. I don't know about his other book, 'Adberbs'. Apparently he's also working on an 'adult novel about pirates'.

Seemed humorous, though. It's also going to be made into a movie, which when my friends and I spoke to Handler about it when he was on tour said "It's at the magical point where nothing's gone wrong yet, it's going to be the best movie ever!" whee

Sweet! An adult pirate book? I'm so up for that! For now I'll invest in a copy of this 'Basic Eight'. Thanks for the insights, guys.

I see no Latin... There's a French bit on the copyright page, is that what you mean? If so, it says:
Oh Death, old captain, it is time! Let us cast the anchor! This land bores us, oh Death! Cast us off! If the sky and the sea were black like ink, Our hearts as you know them would be filled with concern*.
*A bit of a play on words, I think. The word 'rayon' can also mean rays or beams, like from sunlight. I just assumed that a black sky and sea would fill one's hearts with concern rather than joyful radiance.

Y'know, I was really hoping to find out what happened to the Quagmire triplets... I'm clinging to the slim hope that he'll find it in his heart to write another book about them...

deepfreezesora yeah thats what i meant ive been waiting to read said but unfortunatly i dont know french so thanks Yeah, no problem. I love translating, although I don't do it from an academic standpoint, so my tenses could be a little off (poetic style throws me, I don't usually talk comme ça). But yeah, that's the general jist of the quotation.
