I hope I put this in the right forum. Please forgive if not. The Movie comes out Friday here in Arizona. I saw the trailer. I am not happy. The Sign on Eragon hand is all wrong. It's to be in the middle of his hand not on the side. They gave Saphara fangs.. The Black dragon is all wrong. Brom had no beard and had short hair.. These are a few examples. I meanis it really worth it to see the movie and waist my 20 bucks or wait till DVD? I love the books...."MAY YOUR SWORDS STAY SHARP

it messed alot up. no urgals, as in the books, the race to save arya was non existant and so much more.

they did mess up a lot.
1. Brom mentioned Saphira's name to Eragon as being the name of his Dragon.
2. Brom died by the Razac, not Durza.
3. Arya was in a self induced coma when Eragon first meets her. (she wasn't in the movie.)
anyone got other things they thought woulda been a good addition if they woulda put it in the movie?

solbrum wasn't in it at all! angela was in the wrong town. eragon already knows that arya is the princess. the entire last fight was wrong.they put it into two days instead of months. murtagh led eragon to the varden.

They totaly messed up! Arya was concious...and had normal ears, Urgals didn't have horns, and not to mention the skip between all the important places!
And they made Murtagh a goof. Murtagh doesn't want to go to the Varden, yet he says to Eragon 'To the Varden it is!'
Not to mention he's dropped from like...ten feet from saphira, and he lands and just laughs and says 'I've always dreamed of dragons!' or something like that.
AND SOLEMBUM!...
One of the best characters!
The Hadarac Desert was totaly out of the picture...
AND MURTAGH'S SCAR WAS PUNY!
And the end battle scene.
And Eragon's scar like Murtagh's...he wasn't stabbed at all by Durza in the movie...
Katrina wasn't there either.
And the farm was already supposed to be burnt down by the Ra'zac, and just a few sticks lay ontop of Garrow. And what about that special Oil that the Ra'zac used to kill Garrow!? And the Ra'zac...not only do they defy all gravity (Like everyone else in the movie) But they were apparently created by Durza sommoning angry vampire bats, and they were made out of bugs.
No horses either.
If there's ever an Eldest movie, it's plot has just been twisted by Eragon.
My friends and I all agree that Peter Jackson should take over.

Ugh. They killed that movie. If your a true die-hard fan of the book, dont watch it.
You may just hate it.
That movie wasnt as good as I'd expected it to be.

the movie sucked..
1: saphria named herself and grew up in one flight
2: eragon didnt get camptured ONCE
3:Arya's hair was red not black
4: the wercat wasint in thier!
5:eragon just learned all the spells and the words on his own
6: the egg hacthed the same night he found it
7: it was very short

i agree i was soo pissed they cut out everything. oh and the twins were not in there eather. it should have been longer and they should have put more of the important parts in there not the ones that are not important.

I agree with you. after I saw the movie, I was kinda upset that they left so much of the important stuff out.

Yeah definitely and they stole stuff that was essential to the second book. I loved the second book so much more and because they stole stuff its gonna make the second movie suck....or worse not doing the second movie at all. [edit] just wanted to say that I agree with Celticprincessz, I've only seen the trailer as well, but after hearing all the bad reviews..I think it would be best to wait until it comes out on video. i havent seen the movie yet my friend told me the one part where hes trying to get saphera 2 fly he's like "u-have- 2learn-2-fly!! & then it was...yeah... sweatdrop she couldnt tell me cause she had an appendix attack or some thing( sweatdrop ) sooo...yeah!!!
