Victor wandered down the street of Barton, looking into various shops. Chieko had given him her credit card and told him to go shop for clothing, and really, he was the only one living at her house she'd trust to do this. He stopped at Ian's shop, looking into the window. Maybe he'd try here? It was really the only clothing shop he could see in Barton, and he didn't feel like heading all the way to Durem. How much clothing could he possibly need, anyway? He let out a breath, watching it fade from his sight, before he turned away from the shop, and instead headed for the fountain, which had been turned off for the winter. Sitting down on it's edge, the wind blew some hair into his pale face, and he stared down at the ground.

"But Barton?"
Nio gave his son an annoyed look as he bugged his father for the millionth time. "Yes, Barton. What do you think, we're made of money? You've been spending all my money on your friends' presents this year, so I'm trying to save a little of it by shopping here. Besides, the clothes are fine!"
"Barton?"
"Donny, stop being such a little- oh hey look, someone your age!" He pointed quickly at the distraction, biting his lip to keep from throttling the little menace.
Donny looked down the street at the younger Tale coming towards them, recognizing him immediately as one of their kind. "He's younger. But he is a Tale."
Nio hadn't realized the boy he was trying to pawn Adonis off on was a Tale as well, but oh well. This worked even better! "Why don't you go say hi to him why I go shopping?" Nio asked, his exasperation waning. The boy nodded, and headed over to Victor. Nio slipped into the store, mouthing out the word 'freedom' while pumping his fist.
Donny sized Victor up, before heading towards him, waving. "Hey. You. My name's Donny. You're a Tale, like me, aren't you?" He asked.

Hey you? Victor blinked at the greeting, looking up from his seat on the fountain edge, light blue eyes looking a little confused. When his eyes rested on Donny, he looked a little surprised. He was... shiney. Or so he simply seemed. Were those wings? Giant, beautiful wings! And lushish blonde curly hair! And beautiful blue eyes! AGH, not fair, he was far too pretty to be a boy! Victor blinked hard, again, before he stood to be polite. "Hello. Yes, I am a Tale. It is a pleasure to meet you, I am Victor." He bowed a bit, before offering his hand to shake, smiling politely. Some black hair fell into his face, and he suddenly felt very ugly ducky-ish.

Donny looked at the hand being offered him, before grinning and taking it with a firm, vigorous hand shake. "Nice to meet you too. Victor? I don't recall hearing that name before. I feel so out of touch, everywhere I look there's a Tale I haven't met popping up. Why, there was a day when I knew almost everyone." This was true, perhaps most because he was had been so much friendlier and agreeable as a toddler. Now, some Tales left a bitter taste in his mouth. Victor seemed decent enough so far, though. Donny watched him bow, and smiled. "You're fancy, like my friend Elena. She'd like you. Have you ever met Elena?" He realized Victor and Elena would look nice together, like a set of dolls side by side, dressed in elegant outfits. He looked like nothing of the sort, he silently mused. Of course, if he wanted to dress like Victor, he was sure he would look fabulous in it.
... The idea had merit.
"Say, Victor. Where do you buy your clothes? I have to buy new clothes, and my dad's insisting on Barton here." He shrugged his head in the direction of the shop beside them. "I'm not fond of the place, but then again I've only been inside it once. But I'm thinking.. it might be interesting to try something new."
So he had hidden urges to play dress up. SO WHAT. It was manly dress up. crying

"Ah..." he blinked a little. This Donny person was interesting, to say the least. "....Fancy? I certainly do not feel fancy. What in particular am I doing that is special?" He asked, a little confused, before he headed into the shop "And I came with this clothing... Ms. Chieko wants me to find something more casual so she does not have to wash this everyday..." He explained, running a hand over the vest a little. It did look fancy, he supposed, but, not nearly as fancy as Donny. He reached up to push some back hair from his face, a blue eye darting to the other boy, and he held the door open, politely.

Donny brushed off the question, before gesturing to the open door. "It's nothing really, it's just, not many people in this world are as polite and formal as some of us. You can't blame them, their lives are filled with unhappiness and strife, they don't think about things like that."
Donny stepped inside, and looked around. He shuddered. The people he had just described were littering the place. They looked haggard, and distraught, as they shopped for presents for people they probably didn't really like very much, and their wallets thinned and emptied.
"I don't think this place will have clothing as nice as yours.." Donny murmured in disappointment. "I wanted to try dressing like you! At least once." He started fingering through the racks, making faces of shock every so often. Paisley. Augh. Who invented such a thing?

"Unhappiness....?" He blinked a little. Chieko always shopped at this place, and she was happy. Wasn't she? She was a little stressed out, but she seemed happy... He blinked at the other people in the store, and went to pick up a few t-shirts "....Perhaps there is more to your taste in Gambino?" He asked, looking over to Donny. "...Or, perhaps when I get some new clothes, you could borrow mine...." He offered, trying to be still be polite. Donny looked rather dissapointed, and he wanted to cheer him up, even just a bit.

"Oh, to be sure that Gambino has clothing I would prefer, but.." He grinned widely. "I'm starting to get a much more fun idea."
In fact, an idea was forming in that murky, dangerous mind of his, and it was all bad.
He grabbed Victor's hand, and pulled him away from the racks of clothing, tugging him down towards the other end of the store. "Come on, I can see it from here.." He murmured, though it was almost as though he was talking to himself. He led the boy to the other end, where boxes were laying half open and workers were unpackaging and setting up the new wing.
The wig wing.
The boxes were labeled "Salon Durem" and were filled with all sorts of wild wigs of every color. Donny wrapped his wings tight around his body and snuck around an unsuspecting worker who was stretched upward, setting up high shelves. He filtered quietly through an open box, before grabbing one wig. His eyes lit up as he noticed one of the other workers pull a golden one out of a box, and stealthily inched over, waiting for him to grab another one and turn away before he snuck his hand into the box and snatched one. He strolled away from the scene innocently, two unopened bags of wigs clutched close to him. He walked through a rack of clothing, and disappeared into it.
A few minutes later he popped up behind Victor and tapped him on the shoulder. "C'mon, lets go!"

Victor stared through the whole scene, but when the worker looked over at him, he was the picture of innocence as he pretended to look at other clothing. He kept a close eye on Donny, worried the boy would get caught, but Donny moved with the stealth of a boy used to stirring up trouble without getting caught. At the sight of the wigs, his eyes widened, and he looked away as the clerk glanced at him again, whistling innocently. As Donny headed for a clothing rack, he followed, looking very curious as to what he was doing. He lost sight of him in the rack, however, and jumped, startled a little as the boy appeared behind him. "....Go where?" He asked, dumbly, baffled by the entire scene.

Donny rolled his eyes. "Where do you think?" He asked, as if it was obvious. He led the boy silently through the entire store, until they reached the dressing room. He looked like he was holding some kind of garment.. sort of.. so he stuck his head up to the attendant, and said in his sweetest, most adorably childish voice.
"Two please!"
The woman was charmed, and gave him a tag with the number 2 on it. He grinned toothily and continued inside, heading to the far stall and pulling Victor in it before anyone could notice. He stuck the tag on the handle, and locked the door shut.
His sweet and innocent demeanor melted away, and instead pure mischief reigned supreme.
"This is going to be socool." He murmured, handing Victor the golden wig. "Quick, give me your clothing."

Victor's confusion continued as he was yanked into the dressing room, and he boggled as he started to undress, moving to pull the wig on while hopping on one foot to pull his pants off "Ah.... Donny, I am confused... Why are we doing this...?" He asks, his voice barely a whisper. He managed to kick his pants off, barely managing to keep his balance, some blond hair falling into his face

Donny rolled his eyes and peeled off his shirt. Now Victor was the only person besides his own family that knew that his little undershorts matched his wings, glittering with the image of the night sky. Teehee.
"Simple, we're gonna play a game. It'll be the best game ever! It's called.. um.. 'How well do you know me' game! We're playing it with our parents, of course."
He held up Victor's pants with one hand, and whistled. This was going to be pretty damn funny.
After he finished dressing, he grabbed the wig. It was almost a crime, covering his hair.. but he had to do it. He pulled off the laurels on his head, and handed them to Victor, before flipping his gorgeous locks over his head and sliding the wig over. He flipped back up, and the wig settled in.
Hey.. he didn't look too bad with black hair, either.

Victor speedily redressed, hoping Donny didn't notice his lack of underwear, and straightened his wig a bit, eyes still wide. "I lack wings, Donny, and I don't think you can take yours off...." He glanced at the door, trying to hold back giggles that were suddenly bubbling up in his chest. He was sure they wouldn't be able to fool their parents, but the dressing up part was fun. "You look good with black hair...." He whispered, then bit his lip to hold back more giggles.

Donny waved his hand in dismissal. "Nooo problem. I wear my wings down a lot, 'cause they get in the way. All you gotta do is wear my cape, and uh.. we'll put something under it. Like.." He was looking around as he spoke, settling on a pile of clothes nearby. He saw a sweater, and snapped his fingers. "That!" He exclaimed, grabbing it and balling it up. He walked around behind Victor, and shoved the sweater down the boy's shirt. He then picked up his cape, and clasped it around the boy's neck, careful to avoid catching on any golden wig hair. The sweater made the cape bump up; not perfect, but it'll do.
"K. I think.. that's it." He tugged Victor to the mirror, and looked at them both. The golden skinned boy bit his lip; their skin was giving them away. They needed.. makeup! "We've gotta take a trip to the girly place, with all the makeup." He decided, speaking out loud.

Victor still looked a little unsure, despite the sweater under his cape. He was admiring himself in the mirror though, he DID look good as a blonde. he almost didn't catch what Donny said next, but his eyes almost popped out of his head ".....A girly place?!" He gasped, his voice still quiet ".....Makeup? Why on earth would we want to go that far?" It simply didn't make sense to him! "....And what shall we do with all these clothes? We simply can't walk out with them.... they'll catch us." He murmered, starting to shake his head
