The little cheetah girl hopped along humming the latest song that was stuck in her head, the occasional word slipped out from between her furry lips but she seemed less concerned about the words and more about the tune. Her long tail lashed back and forwards as she padded along, her mucles taught and looking like she would start a mad run at any second. The cheetah in her loved to run, infact the little girl loved to race, but she had to stay calm today, she was on the way to the cafeteria to stock up before she went for a run. Colche had started to set ehr self tasks. As the world seemed to be busy doing things she had decided she neded to do things too.
todays task was to seehow far she could run before she was too tired to run any more, or even walk for that matter! She was convinced she could make it all the way around the island and back to her duplex on her quick feet.
She had chosen the beach as her starting point as it was fairly easy to run ont he pale sand, plus she could always take a berak and splash in the waves. but first things first, food and maybe a packedlunch from the cafeteria lady! The Cafeteria hovered in to sight and ehr blue eyes grinned, ehr lips turning in a smile "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!" she sang as she padded towards the doors.

Victor was heading out of the Caferteria, he had only eaten some soup before he had started to feel sick again, but once he was back outside...with the warm sun on him, he had started to feel at least halfway better, but he couldn't understand exactly why other than maybe it was warmer outside.
He didn't want to go back to his duplex yet, and was still thinking about what he wanted to do when he saw... a singing cat-girl heading up towards the caferteria.

Colche paused midstep, her small rounded ears perked, she was silent and alert for a moment as the new scent flushed her senses. She tilted ehr head to the face she didn't know, there were alot of them around these days, changed faces whom she'd never even met. She felt even further from the villiage and it's inhabitants for a moment, she knew she was becoming a loner, that it was perhaps even pointless to be learning to speak when her world was becoming just her again.
A smile lifted her lips though when he spoke and the questioning darkness in her eyes melted as those baby blues shone happily "Hai" she gave a short puurr and her head tilted in a questioning manner. Maybe he was a nice guy? She'd learbned well that not everyone on the island was happy, not everyone was a good person, still, that never stopped ehr from being cheery. "Not seen you 'afore" she states rather simply, her smile never fading, "I'm Colche" she gave out a slow sigh, a proper greeting not just her name.
"Whos be you?" alright, so that bit wasn't correct but at least she'd greeted the man in a correct fashion.

Victor himself was curious about the person that he just walked into, and couldn't help but smile a little at the cheetah girl, dispite feeling his lunch weighing heavily in his stomach. He couldn't tell how old she was but guessed she probably was fairly young, how the labs could do...this to such a young and innocent girl eluded him
"Hello Colche, I'm Victor and I've been around for a couple weeks I guess but haven't really gotten around to meeting many people"
Victor wouldn't admit to himself that was quite possibly afraid of meeting ther people that have changed.

"Victor" Colche licked her lips as she said the mans name licking her furred lips as if she was tasting the word. "Okay" she grinns broadly her small rounded ears perking forwards as she spoke making that soft furry expression seem alert though the smile on her shortened maw didn't exactly suit the trutly cheetah face. The sombre expression that most cheetahs held had never been fixed upon colche ever. She was much too happy for that.
"You like island?" it was a strange question perhaps, but one she had decided neeeded to be asked to all new people. Maybe they just didn't like the island and thatw as why they didn't like it?
Colche didn't think there was any other life than the one she had now and she was perfectly happy in it, lives that other people had had? She truely didn't understand the concept, she had never been given a life before the island so thinking others had one never came in to her head really. "Tis pretty. I'ma racing today!" she grins her tail flickering, stating her newest occupation to somone unknown and possibly uncareing was perhaps nieve she was allowed to be Nieve, this was her home and she had family here, she was safe here, even if this guy was new, he seemed cheery enough, maybe he'd like to have a race?

With a sigh, Victor sat down next the path, he felt tired for no particular reason, just another part of this flubug he'd come down with. Victor looked at the smiling Colche, thinking quietly before answering.
"I don't know yet Colche, I don't like that we can't leave...I don't like that we're being changed against our will. It would be a much nicer place if it wasn't for that." Unlike Colche, he didn't feel safe here, he felt trapped, and he didn't want to go though what Alec or Chubbs had gone though.
Victor looked around for a moment then back to the Cheetah girl. "yeah its nice out, you're racing? who you racing with?"

Colche tilted ehr head softly, she never would understand the wont to leave the island. It was beautiful here they were well looked after and never went hungry, they were safe. Shrugging slightly she let the comment go and watched the man lightly. "okay?" she tilted ehr head gently, he didn't look to hot, she very faintly remembered the time before her first step in to furryness. It had been like this, a little frightening.
"Everything" she beams at his next question "wanna seehow far..I..can go before too tired." She giggles,s he fancied she could race around the island, though she knew full well she wouldn't get as far as that before she was too tired and would stop for a break and a munch before continueing on. "Getting a picknic, wanna come?" she puurrs happily, new people could either be fun or sad, she prefared them fun, it made for interesting games.

"A picnic?" Victor asked, raising an eyebrow curiously at the invitation by the cheetah girl, he wasn't hungry, but maybe it would be something to get his mind off of things, get some fresh air or something, plus he figured he really would like someone else to talk too.
"Sure, I'll come along, I'm not hungry so you only need food for yourself"
Victor hoped that Colche wouldn't try to race him, he really didn't feel he could handle running right now.

Colche smiled gently, she gave a quick nod, a little picnic before her run would do her good, she knew that. Slipping in to the caf, it didn't take her long to load a basket of goodies, she put way too much in the basket but that was fine, she'd convince victor to eat soemthing and maybe wrap a little peice of cake up to take with ehr on her island wise runnathon!
She grinned at the man as she stepped back out in tot he bright sun, the golden rays highlighting her plush tan fur. "Come, beach" she tilted her head and started to walk taking long, slow strides her strange legs taking space in a very short time. She paused and turned back to him "comin'?" she smiled gently a puurr echoeing from her deep chest. "Gots chocolate cake!" she giggles gently before she pads onwards, the beach was the best place to have a picnic in her oppinion.

Victor waited while Colche went into the Caf to gather her things for the Picnic. He was glad that he had run into the long haired cheetah girl, it gave him something else to do other than go back to his duplex and feel sick.
It wasn't long before Colche came back out and couldn't help but smile again. "Yeah I'm coming" Victor stood back up slowly. "the beach sounds nice" He started on down the path walking beside Colche when he heard he say something about cake. "Oh you like Chocolate cake?, my favorate dessert is blueberry pie"

Colche beamed "Pie!" she giggles softly "I likes pie too" she puurrs happily watching the man for a moment as she decided which category to put him in, so far the consensus was in the 'good' box. Things could change rapitdly around here though.
"Chocolate cake, ish my favourite..all things foody ish good tho" she smiles a little, a simple sentence perhaps but one that she could be proud of as near enough correct vocabulary wise. "Victor" she paused for a moment. She had never erally asked a question of anyone before, her vocabulary and her social skills not high enough to question her own boxed in little world "where you outside of island?" he brow furrowed, the question wasn't entirely right but she knew at least what she meant. Theer were places outside of this beautiful tropical isle, places that wern't the prison she had come from herself. She'd even started to learn some geography from ehr books. She'd learned theer were places like 'england' and 'america' and that cheetahs came from 'Africa' She was truely interested though perhaps Vix wouldn't understand what she was asking.

Victor was glad Colche seemed to be so happy, it took the edge off of how strange this meeting was. He followed besider her, listening to her carefully worded sentences. How old could this girl be? maybe english wasn't her first language
His attention picked up when Colche said his name and asked her question. He raised an eyebrow "you mean where am I from?" Victor wasn't sure of Colche's question, but took a guess anyway. "I'm from the US, orginally from the state of Maine, was working in a hospital before coming here"

Colche grinned "Yuu ess Ay" she pondered this for a moment "America!" she giggled and nodded, yes thats what the usa was, she had heard it abbreviated to that though she didn't know what the letetr meant. "Mane" she bit her tongue for a moment as she let the word roll over her tongue "Like a lion?" she looked a little confused, could you come from a lions mane? Her brow furrowed as she quietly imagined living in a lions mane, her imagination being unflappable.
"Hopsicul!" now that was a word she knew. "Yoo doctor like mommy?"a question again, it seemed she was full of them today, her wide blue eyes filled with a curious confidence that she was saying the right things, that she was asking questions that made sence rather than babbling as she so often did. "You makes owies go away Victor?" she puurred softly, she liked doctors, which was perhaps strange as it was doctors that had turned ehr int o what the young man saw before him. "Mommy gots a big owie and the moreau prince made it betetr!" She nodded an affirmative ehr eyes looking almost distant for a moment. It had been a long time since she had seen Aubrey. Shaking her head though, clearing away those thoughts she looked back to victor for her questions to be answered.

Victor smiled as well "Thats right Colche, I'm from America" For victor things were going much better than he had orginally planned for today. He blinked when the cheetah-girl got confused over what 'Maine' was. "Not like a Lion's mane sorry, its a quiet place a long way from here" He sighed, and hoped Colche didn't ask any more about where he was from, he already missed it too much.
Victor looked at Colche's bright blue eyes and smiled again, it was hard to be sad and upset with someone so happy next to you. "Well Colche, I was learning to be a doctor, but learning to be a different type of doctor than your mommy" Victor explained, listening carefully, Moreau prince? was Dr. Moreau somehow related to this little girl? and if he was how could he have done this to Colche?. But those were questions for some other time, Victor didn't want to upset the cheetah girl.
"I never got to finish being a doctor, but the type of doctor I was going to be fixes a different kind of Owie, you know when you feel sad and don't know if it will ever go away? well I was learning to be able to make that go away"

Colche had to think long and hard that 'maine' was a place and it didn't belog to a lion She prefarred to think of it as a mane so she let the 'nice quiet place' slip through one ear and out the otehr and went back to imagining Victor living in a lions mane, a really big fluffy one!
"make feel better doctor?" she tilted her head questioningly to that,s he didn't quite understand. "Sad goes away, if be happy" perhaps a some what simple philosophy via the little cheetah girl. Her past was very cloudy and she let it stay that way she didn't want to think of the sad times especially when things were good. "Cuddles makes for happy!" she grins then a little bounce com,ing back in to her step as she let the confuson melt away. It was all well and good questioning things but if comprehension wasn't there, there was no point worrying about it. "is Victor gunna be a doctor soon? I'ma learnin' ta read" she smiles "Gotsa teacher an everythin'" she puurrs happily at that, she understood that Victor was;'nt a full doctor yet but he could be one right? Even if she didn't know what a not owie doctor was. "Can learns." she nods some, her gaze once again going to the path before her.
