Hello . . . My real name is Asha, but every calls me Nam, short for Naomi. I am Pagan, and also a bit of a Tree hugging Hippie ^__^. And I am NOT here to force my religion down your throats. Instead I am here to answer any questions you may have about the religion and/or practices of Paganism, Wicca, Witchcraft, Magic, Spirits, Divinity, Karma, and so on. I am not Wiccan, there is actually quite a bit of difference between what makes up a Wiccan, and who is simply just a Pagan. We do not worship the devil.

I have seen in this guild a lot of debate over your friends being wiccan, or worshipping the devil, or how to deal with people of other religions. Feel free to ask me anything, and I will give you a clear, clean cut answer, I will not bash anyones belief. Because everyone is different, everyone hails from different countries and different cultures. Not everyone can follow the same spiritual path.

Christianity, Buddhism, Jewish, Muslim, Pagan, Wiccan, Druid, Zoroasrtrian, Taoism, Catholic, Hindu, Athiest, & Satanist.

All are welcome . . . all are equal. Here is neutral ground in order to better learn ourselves the truth about other religions.

Ask away.
Please be kind, courteous, and don't bash other religions.
Do unto others as you would have them done unto you.

~Ms. Nam^__^

Thanks for offering to answer our questions.

Just courious but, do you follow a specific belief system? Paganism is a little broad.

It is broad, and there's a reason for that. I as do most of us, study different religions trying to find what suits our spiritual needs; Pagan has a variety of definitions. Most who consider themselves "Pagan" do not mean it in the openly used version of "Any religion that is non Christian, Jewish, or Muslim". Pagan in our sense means a peaceful eathbased religion in which we align ourselves with the natural energies of the earth and her creatures. Praising both the female and male aspects of the divinity and higher being that flows through all.

But "Pagan" traditions different from country to country, and culture to culture, (e.i. - Greek Pagan, Roman Paga, Asatru, Vanir, Celtic Pagan, The Rroma, Slavic Pagan, Native American, etc.) We usually gather our traditions from whatever nationalities we find present in ourselves.

Much like wiccan in some ways of being bound to the earth, but we do not follow their doctrine. Because believe it or not they actually have fairly strict rules to adhere to, especially those who follow the original "Golden Dawn" Structure left by Gerald Gardner and Doreen Valiente. And I just find it a big ole mess so I tend to stay away from that whole hierarchy, not my style.

However to more directly answer your question, I personally, (including the reasons given above and some of the structure I follow).

I believe in a female and male aspect to divinity, or God if you will. I believe in reincarnation, as most pagans do if not all. Witchcraft and Magic are apart of our everyday lives, but I follow the healers path. I study and practice Alternative Medicine and Self-Healing Therapies along with gentle and simple diagnosis. I follow my family heritage traditions, I am 3 nationalites. Native American, Irish, & Bohemian. So I follow all three of those spiritual paths in my day to day life to achieve peace and harmony.

Every pagan is different in there belive structure, just as I'm sure christians differ on their beliefs. While of course all maintaining a central/general structure.

The theory of reincarnation comes form eastern religious philosophies. When you die, you are brought to a place where your spirit can rest and rejuvinate (kind of like heaven in a manner of speaking) then your spirit/soul is reborn, but our souls are not limited to human form. Animals, trees, any living creature is a potential for reincarnate.

Each time your soul goes through life your objective is to learn a little more each time about the flow patterns and meanings of life and the universe, etc. As the buddhist monks put it, each reincarnation leads to another stage of your enlightenment. The ultimate goal through reincarnation is to achieve Nirvana: eternal peace and enlightenment, where you become one with the divine. When you reach Nirvana you stay and become one with " god " eternally, and your cycle of reincarnations ends for you have aquired the knowledge of the world, andyour soul is at peace.

First of all, I would like to say thank you for helping us, as I have been confused over this for a long time.

My question, though, is:

When you're reincarnated, do you remember anything from previous points in your spiritual life? For example:

Human ---> Cat

Do you lose any memory of being human when you become a cat, or do you keep it?

Some people remember bits and pieces. . . there are ways to do what is called a "Past Life Regression" in which you can attempt to remember your past life via dreams or meditation. Although sometimes such visions come naturally. It's easier for some than others to remember, as where some can remember multiple, some remember a specific one, and some may not be able to clearly remember. Either meaning that they may need to work at it, or that this may be their first trip.

Tecniquly there is no such thing as "Black Magic". A magic spell is a conscious formalized attempt to manipulate magic power and energy in order to achieve your own personal goal. Working with the natural powers of divinity in order to achieve a desired effect.

"Magic" really doesn't have an assosication with a specific color. Though some people tend to make associations. There have been alot of mix up and mis-communication between "Black Magic" as Evil manipulative cursing, and "Black Magic" as Necromancy, Spirit Contact, an Funeral Ceremonies.

So alot of us try to stay away from color associations as much as possible when trying to determine each classification of magical practice. I tend to study and look into as much as possible over every type of magical practice that I can. I have never been forced to manipulate someones free will though, I have never seen a reason too. I will not say that people don't, but I myself have never had to "curse" anyone. I try to stay away from that avenue and tend to stick more to Healing, Alternative Medicine, Medical Massage, Tea Therapy, things considered to be "White Magic". Though of course I spend plenty of time in the garden, I talk with animals and trees, and I am not ashamed to use pendulums, tarot cards, and runes in public if the need arises. I dont' make a big dramatic scene about it, but I use them when I feel necessary. 3nodding

It's all a matter of a necessity basis, when I feel something needs to be done, I change it! As long it fits within my own personal structure of ethics. Hoped that help answer your question a bit.
