I would say that this really has some personal depth to it. I recognize that this is a lyric, not a poem, and in knowing that, when it is sung the listener can still feel the emotion without needing much imagry.
However if this was to be a poem, I think a little more imaginative depiction would be neccessary in order to really move the reader into the same state that you felt when you wrote it.
All-in-all, good lyric! Keep on writing!
