EWIDGIAN THEORY / EWIDGISM

The following is what you get when you leave a terminally bored child in a household without any religion except Santa-ism on Christmas. Over the years, I have decided that this theory of existance makes the most sense to me.

HOW IT ALL WORKS:
All things are predetermined. This is because only one thing can happen given the circumstances because the same causes always yeild the same effect. Thoses causes exist as they do because a certain combonation of other causes that exist the way they do because of earlier cuases before them. Because of the placement and movement of atoms at the first moment of existance, the first cause led to the first effects and so on, like a long lin of dominos knocking down the only one they possibly could.

THE AFTERLIFE
So, if there is no free will, are we really good or evil? No. We're just existaning as we were always supposed to exist. How can we be punished in the afterlife just because of hte way God made us? Good news if you're a sinner: we aren't. I believe that if we can't be blamed for ourselves, we sohuld be sent to a place both good and evil. I bleieve that in the faterlife, we are locked away in our own universes as Gods. The birght side is you are omnipotent within your universe. The dark side is you are forever alone, left knowing everything that will ever happen in your domain. This also explains why God is such a p***k (I can feel the pitchforks and torches getting ready. Crusades: Part 2). God isn't the emobdiment of all that is good! He's just some dead guy/girl/something.

RELATED MORALS
The afterlfie is designed to be the nuetral between Heaven and Hell. Our plane of existance doesn't have to be balanced between good and bad. We only eixst here for a relatively near nonexistant length of time and it's the only time you can experience the gift of human interaction. An ideal situation in which all intelligent life believes in Ewidgism, everyone ought to be kind and friendly and social to make this plane just that much closer to Heaven. Unfortunately, apparently not many more than 4 people believe in Ewidgism, so just keep in mind to be social and have the best time you can on this plane while still keeping yourself alive. This could be having fun at hte expense of others, or just hunting for a fun philosophical debate that can keep you debating with yourself when you're alone. It's up to you. Have a good time and keep in mind, it's just kind to soften the afterlife on other people by being kind.

What do you think? (It's a good move to propose a crazy idea like htis in a "religious tolerance" guild)

For the most part I agree with your beliefs. However, I do believe in freewill. It just doesn't make sense that a god would sit there and form a destiny for over 8 trillion people over time. It just seems like a waste of time. I do believe that the gods can see in the future, does that mean they form it? No more than Ms. Cleo can.

As for heaven and hell, I do agree, I fail to see the point of a god creating a bunch of people who he gave freewill to in the first place, only to send them to a horrid place afterwards. Assuming the gods know in advance what will happen, why create something just to damn them to a horrible place? Unless the gods (or god) is a vindictive little guy, I don't think he would.

However, how do you figure god is some sort of dead guy? How can a predetermined fate happen if there is no one up there to predetermine that? (According to your beliefs)

I do believe in live life to the fullest ideals! ^___^ PARTY 24/7!

The thought of being alone forever is kind of scary. I don't want to spend eternity away from the person I love.

Yeah, I'd rather simply cease to be than to be alone for the rest of eternity. That would be hell for me.

Ah, but to quote Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy:

Time is an illusion. Lunchtime, doubly so.

Dear gods that hitch hikers guide makes me laugh!

On to the tpoic this is... interesting. I don't like the idea of no free will. Also it's a bit confusing. How can you have morals to dictate whta you do in life and live life to the fullest. You can't live life to the fullest if it's not written to be so.
