Charlot darted through the circus grounds, weaving through groups of people who'd poured out of Stormwind like running water. He skid to a halt, letting a woman and her children pass, tipping his hat to her with a smile before running again.
He'd gotten a note this morning that it was his big day- his first performance. He was a little nervous, but also excited. It meant he might be upgraded to an actual 'attraction' instead of one of the people who just moved s**t around and dealt with flyers. All pluses in his book.
He hopped up the stairs to Ankita's trailer, making sure to pause and knock instead of just barging in. She was a WOMAN, after all.
"Oi, Ankita- y'in there?"

Ankita wasn't actually in her trailer for a change, but was out on a walk with Sarava. Luckily for Charlot, however, she had just returned and stood at the corner of her trailer when he began to knock.
"No, I'm not here." She said, her sentence broken up by giggles.

Charlot blinked, looking toward the sound of her voice.
"Oh, there y'are." He dropped back down the stairs, walking over to where she stood. "Oi've got a performance this afternoon... Oi was wondering if there was a costume trailer or something? Know where it might be?"

She perked up slightly, "It's already your first performance?" She tried to fight off what sounds of glee would escape from her like a mother watching her baby take their first steps, which was soon followed by her cocked head and raised eyebrow.
"Costume Trailer...? Uhhh..." She never really heard anything about some sort of costumeing trailor since she provided clothing for herself. "I... I'm sorry I can't really help you there." she said frowning sympatheticly.

"Hmm... guess Oi c'look around m'self then." He scratched at one of his chops idly. "Oh, oi was wondering if y'were busy this afternoon. Oi need a bit of an assistant-" He shrugged. "Oi thought I'd ask y'first."
He tugged off his hat, tucking it into his pack pocket. "If y'can't... that's fine too."

Ankita's eyes grew large and round at the question. "I'd love to!" she said, nearly jumping up in excitement, but quickly caught herself and embodied a more composed demeaner. "I mean, I'd be honored to ..help you, with your first performance. And all." She bowed her head slightly.

Charlot grinned, nodding his head. "Alright. My performance is later this evening-" He squinted, checking his pocket watch. He'd stolen it several years prior. "It's only 'bout ten o'clock now. Plenty time f'me t'go find something for a costume, eh?"
He glanced around, eyes narrowing for a moment as he tried to remember if there was a trailer for this sort of thing he might have passed.
"Oi'm going to go see if Oi can find somethin'- Oi'll be back."
He wandered back into the circus grounds, heading toward Scarlett and Dahli's trailers.

"Sounds like you've got a lot of time to find one." She said, nodding her head. "Good luck! Just stop by when you need me."
Her smile was sheepish as she waved to him, listening to the sounds of his footsteps get further and further.

Charlot spent most of the afternoon searching through trailers for the costume one. It was about mid-afternoon when he finally discovered one full of clothing. He figured this was it and marked it in his mind.
It was full of colorful clothing of all styles, hats, shoes, and cases of makeup. Perfect, just what he needed.
"Oi should bring Ank'yta back 'ere..." He nodded to himself, stepping back out of the trailer and pulling the doors shut. Charlot weaved his way back through the circus to the trailer and knocked.
"Ank'yta... y'still 'ere?"

Ankita had just sat down with a book, tracing her fingers across the page to read the small bumps to pass the time. Sarava was curled up beside her, napping with her tail swishing back and forth, periodically brushing against her familiar's arm.
She was finally starting to get intensely into the book when she heard the knock, pouting slightly. She set it beside her, stumbling to the door and opened it.
"Oh hey, you're back much sooner than I expected."

Charlot cocked an eyebrow, glancing around the trailer. "Oi 'ope that isn't a problem. Y'got company?" He grinned up at her from where he stood on the lower steps.
"Oi found th'costume trailer. If y'want, oi could take y'with me an' we could match our clothes since we'll be workin' together, eh?" It was just an idea. He'd seen performers with assitants that matched in some small way, just to tell them apart from the other acts. It also looked better, in his opinion- more professional and streamline. Like the posters he'd seen back home.
"If y'busy, Oi could just bring y'back some things..." He smiled again, spotting Sarava being lazy where she'd been sitting.

Ankita shook her head. She didn't get company very much, well, as of late she had gotten a significant amount more than usual. But still, on average, the number was pretty low.
"No, now's a good time if you need me." she said nodding. "Matching... not matching..." she shrugged. "It's your show, so you can make the call." a small smile crept onto her face.

"Alright, s'let's go." He stepped back off the stairs, waiting patiently a few steps from the trailer for her. He wasn't sure if she was going to grab Sarava or her walking stick.
He stuffed his hands into his pocket, glancing back toward the main area of the circus. He'd have to go exploring later into that town... maybe they had some form of cigarettes he could purchase. He was running mournfully low on his own supply. He also had to buy Grete some new alcohol.
He ran his tongue along his lower lip, thinking and making a mental list of all the things he needed to get before they left. His attention snapped back to the trailer as he heard the sounds of Ankita moving around.

Ankita grabbed behind the door, taking her walking stick and shutting it behind her. She figured Sarava wouldn't be interested in following since she had been lazying around all day and showed no real signs of interest in moving from her spot.
She walked down the stairs slowly, holding onto the railing, and began to walk, following him.
Her mind began to wander again as the moved towards the costuming trailer and she found her self blushing over the flattery of him picking her to be his assistant. No, don't get ahead of yourself.

"Y'nervous at all?" Charlot walked beside her, making sure to verbally point out anything that might get in their way as they came across it. A lot of the circus hands were moving huge poles and pieces of wood around building stages all around the grounds today.
He'd never really been in this sort of position in the circus. He liked to keep a low profile, since he was wanted in a few places- but since this area was no where near anything he'd been 'sentenced' in... it seemed safe enough to take a spot in the limelight.
