What makes the Final Fantasy games so awesome in your opinion? The art, the characters, the fighting? What is it that makes you come back to the series for game after game?

to me it's the unique characters such as squall, the storyline's which are deep and twisting, also the music

I have been playing the series since the orginal Final Fantasy. I would have to say that the reason that Final Fantasy is my favorite series and what makes them so great to me is a combination of things.
Storyline - Always taking you down twists and turns that make the story really come to life.
Characters - Final Fantasy has brought some of the most interesting characters to the gaming world. There characters are usually have interesting and deep backgrounds that you learn throughout the game that get you to actually care about what happens to the characters.

No one makes you care about a annoying character like Final Fantasy can.
Storyline, storyline, storyline.

I think its a combination of the great story and awesome characters. Just everything about them! Everything is so in depth and real. Its just fascinating and fun!! 3nodding

I love the story line and characters!! The story just pulls you in and the combination with the bondable characters is just awesome ^^

I agree with most of the others on here in that the characters and storylines make Final Fantasy an awesome series, although what really grabs me is all of the relationships between the characters. (I suppose that could be under storyline, but whatever. xd ) I think that's what most good RPG's have to have in order to be really gripping.

A little of everything stated I guess. The old turn based games are fun but the newer ones like FFX was pretty cool, switching people out in the middle of battle, now thats handy!

Storyline, the fact that it's usually pretty indepth is great! I love playing in a story and watching it unfold. The characters are what make the story interesting with their own past histories (if the developers include them) and personalities (even though for most of the Square games, they have an angst-ridden main male character). They're usually top-of-the-line graphics and the battle systems are variable. I really like FFXII's battle system because it's not completely random. Here's to Final Fantasy! cheese_whine

I just in general love games that make you think. I hate games where if you just follow the general direction of were you things are going you will win.::Coughspyrocough::
Also the fact that FF games in general come up with characters who all have uniqe personalities that are effected by the things around them rather then Crash who is just in general an idiot no matter what happens, someone like Tidus, Cloud, or Squall have something to drive them on and make it feal like playing the game is worth wile. I guess its something like "If I can just make it to this next cut-seen...." like a book that you just can't put down.

The whole package. I love them all for every reason there is available. Well, almost all of them... didn't like X2 much.

I love the story lines,side stories and all. That's my main reason for playing Final Fantasy games. Sometimes I'll beat a part of a game just to see the scene,restart the system and play it over again(which is why i was so happy FFX had Luca Theater)

What keeps pulling me back to Final Fantasy? There's a lot of things actually. The characters, the story line, the graphics. I'm sad to admit it, but I think I'm a graphic whore now * sobs *.
Just like Questionable Content had ingeniously pointed out, they have found the perfect formula for every gamers wet dream and they've stuck with it. Until they come out with something like FF9 ( which I'm sorry, I just couldn't get into that one ), I don't think I'll ever stop playing the Final Fantasy games.

I'm going to say what makes Final Fantasy great is the storyline (like Final Fantasy VII),Great Charaters(Like Cloud and Aeris or Aerith ) and beatiful music. 3nodding

I think im gonna have to say the characters and the story. I like how each Final Fantasy is like a completely different game with different stories, characters, ect...
