Do you have any links to sound files or videos of performances that you or your choirs have done?

I think it would be an interesting experience to see what other people have done. biggrin

Here are my links to share:

NEWLY ADDED: -Thorougly Modern Millie Medley (I'm the soloist in the cute navy blue hat):
Thoroughly Modern Millie Medley (Part 1)
Thoroughly Modern Millie Medley (Part 2)
Thoroughly Modern Millie Medley (Part 3)
Thoroughly Modern Millie Medley (Part 4)

-Mozart Mass in C Minor -The links on this page are in order horizontally, not vertically, so click across when listening. Sorry that the recording quality isn't perfect.

I will add more performances to the first post as I get more sound and video files.

Also feel free to chat about these performances in this thread. It's what it's here for. biggrin

Wow, Kiti. Your show choir is really impressive. You should be proud to be a part of a group like that.

thanks. yea, i am very proud to be in a group like that. can you believe thats a high school? cuz it is. our school is really lucky to have all these dediacted people to making out show choir great. where i live, we have show choir rivalrys instead of highschool football rivalrys. no one truely cares about our football teams but EVERYONE cares about the show choirs. If you are not in show choir yourself, the you know at least 5 people in show choir. it's crazy. yet the best thing that has every happened to me. ^^

I could never do show choir because I'm uncoordinated.

The most moves I can do has been shown in the video above. I'd appreciate if you could check it out and tell me what you think. We prepared this stuff in about 7 weeks while working on Mozart's Mass in C Minor as well.

I knew it was a high school choir because you said it was, but the dedication definitely helps, I'd say. biggrin

i think the video was pretty good. I think it might have helped if the choir would try to sell the song more with more facial expressions and had more prescise movements that were together. it sounded a little bit iffy to me, but it was still good i think. ^^

We had a performance in october that we prepared in less than 4 weeks. it was a caberet kinda show. with a bunch of broadway musicals being sung. it was fun. i will try to get a link for one of the songs from it. we also learned all of this while learning our classical set and holiday songs and starting our competition set. it was crazy. thats over 15 songs. and i dont know how many dances. lol!

Mozart's mass in c minor is one of my favourites, but I happen to love masses in general. I got to sing the kyrie movement with the AUCC in 2002.

The King's University College Choir performing Plottiu, a song specifically commissioned for our choir. It was written by Roman Hurko at the request of our choir director.

I loved it, it was hard to sing and not cry once we started to build the proper intensity into it. It's an Easter piece, and while he was writing it, one of Roman's dear friends passed away. He dedicated the piece to her. The recording posted here is the first time it was publicly performed.
