Been there. I think I've had over 200k at one point. Then the spending spree hit. o_o ...
Well, I'm on my way back up there again. Technically speaking, I have potentially more than 100k right now. Excluding the whole.. count everything in your inventory thing. Cause last time I checked, my inventory was worth over 6 mil.. ? @_@
http://www.tektek.org/gaia/worth.php
Note, that doesn't count game items, items in your suitcase for housing, and items in your storage.
Also doesn't count items in the marketplace, items currently in trade, and.. anything that your friend's borrowing. =O Like.. no duh.

I am worth... a number so pathetically low that it isn't even worth mentioning. ; ; I don't even break five-digits.
Oh well.

MooqIes Wow Anohrc. Didn't expect that. I used to participate is many high-end trades before the Marketplace was put into place by Gaia. Headbands, Emobags, Anklets, seal and penguins, galore.
God I wish letters were worth 4k again.

Hoarding definately works, but it takes quite a while for the prices to go up to an adequate amount.

My poblem is knowing when to let go.
Like I said, inflation ALWAYS goes on... so when the hell do you sell?

That's the thing X-Death, you don't sell. You just trade for items that also go up in price.
The only time I sell is when the items are first released in the month. Then I buy them back a few weeks later at a low price of 8k.
I made a goal for myself not to let my Gaia gold drop below 100k.

Observing the marketplace prices often require close observation every once in a while. tektek also seems to have a time chart of how much the items had cost on the marketplace in the past few days, so you can check that out for a more accurate trend in it's price fluctuation.
