Import shouldn't matter. It pisses me off though that when Dodge came back, the other manufacturers looked at them as a challenge and a chance to get better. Now that Toyota is coming in, the good ol' boys are screaming OMG JAPANESE!!!1111 and not a lot of the same people are looking at them as another challenger.

Bring on Toyota, and Honda, and Nissan, and anyone else for that matter.

I don't see Honda and Nissan really having much of an interest. Toyota it seems is really trying to go global if they haven't already, and I think Honda and Nissan are content with Japan and America.

Don't flip out so much. The only thing that's truely Japanese about Toyota is the name. The toyotas we drive in USA are made on America. And they're also made of steel from America, regardless if they're manufactured in USA or Japan.
It has as much a right to be in nascar as does Chevrolet, seeing that's a French word.

Why not? They're already racing in the trucks and doing pretty good. They just need a year or 2 to figure things out and they'll be competative.
