The first King Crimson album I got my hands on was their 2005 album, "The Power To Believe". After listening to that album I was hooked. Anyway, I recently found out about Robert Fripps "New Standard Tuning"(NST). It was an idea that revealed itself to him while in a sauna. It's a tuning that violin and cello players could easily play chords and scales. Also, it appears that the diminished scale is played backwards.
The tuning is C-G-D-A-E-G.... Be careful with those thin strings. burning_eyes
Another interesting bit of info I found on the web is that a standard pitch of A432 is a more natural pitch than the current standard pitch of A440. A standard pitch of A432 corresponds with Phi, the golden ratio/fibonacci sequence.
I currently have all my guitars tuned to a pitch of A432 and one of them is in NST.
Anyone else every try any of these things?

hylianhero27 rofl That's pretty far out there man... the worst I've done is tune all my guitars to 441. yay for me.... try A standard with 11-48 strings...never again gonk but i found out its a wonderfull way to learn to control your fingers more, especially if you have jumbo frets, because you have to carefully put just the right amount of pressure on the strings, because too much goes sharp and too little is to flat/ not enough to sound it. so yea...wonderfull exercise!!
