Ah, first class. Kayin had decided to kick it off with his special terrain room, leaving him standing a few feet away from the door, waiting for his first five students to show.

The room was lush, the faint chirp of a few bugs could be heard over the sound of rushing water, ones that had taken advantage of the strangely set jungleroom.

At his side, the little momo that had taken to following him around was sitting on a short tree, all the plants were generally just large vines, bushes, and baby trees, anything that grew larger would be removed and replaced due to the weight those trees could get.

((I'll take 5 students for this~ just post and after the first 5 I'll post again.
This is for any preteen, or a teen mastering in melee that wants to take Kayin's class in the future. ))

LucĂa enters to her new class and when she opens the door is surprised, "wow is as a small forest but with tiny trees". She could hear bugs and the rumor of water, "it is incredible that class type is this", She think while she walks slowly inside the class. Then she sees a man and comes closer to him, " Hello, I'm Lucia Samanier, I'm her for..." she takes out a paper of the pocket of her pant and reads " Mr. Kayin Gamba class" she smile and feel tiamat peting her leg " and this is my dragon Tiamat".

Tiamat nod with her head in greet and sit dow near Lucia.

Taking a rather sharp corner, which was almost a little to sharp for comfort, a spotted speed demon ran. Having spotted something she thought to be moving in the shadows out of the corner of one eye, her chasing instinct had been triggered, while on her way to some class she had heard about only that morning.

Soon to loose interest, Sahra cocked her head to the side, eyes scanning the nearly blank walls for room numbers plastered above the doors. "I think the place we need to be is coming up soon," She purred in a satisfied tone, hair swaying as she bounced along.

Not to far behind a lanky creature followed, slithering with his muscular body, arms and head held high. Ephrem was in a pretty good mood, having just devoured more than his stomach full of food, which would probably be good in other peoples cases. "Yeah." He jabbered back, only to show he was listening...somewhat.

"Okay, this place is it." She proclaimed, sneaking in through the already partially opened door. Almost immediately an expression of pure awe formed upon her face; the place was truly amazing; beautiful, and gorgeous in all its glory. Sahra had entered just in time to hear one last word of a rather familiar sounding voice. She couldn't quite place it; but that wasn't the matter at hand. "...Hello?" It seemed things had grown relatively silent, which wasn't always good; it was almost creepy.

Chath looked about the room a bit awed at how lucious the space was. It seemed too real for comfort. But at the same time it reminded him of where he learned his second trait...boy was that a ..uh interesting class. He sauntered into the room, his arms were bandagedup to the elbows mainly because he....hadn't gotten ahold of his new skill 100%

He didn't want to risk making someone sick accidentally by touch. Keir onthe otherhand looked a bit annoyed the terrian, where were the swamps??? Didn't anyone appreciate the beauty of a swamp? All the places he had gone with Chath were always lush forest with babblnig brooks. He wanted a SWAMP.

Not too far behind Chath entered in Alaqua, the koala girl, with her brass dragon in tow. Her mom had signed her up for another battle class, this time with a different teacher. Ala was just glad to hear it wasn't that crazy pink-haired woman.

The girl instantly fell in love with the classroom. It was somewhat similar to Orpheus' and she had loved her first skills class in there, climbing in trees. Bob sighed, as he was used to the girl hanging out around (or more likely in) trees at home.

"Hi Mister," the girl greeted the teacher. "I'm Ala and this is Bob." Then the girl spotted Lucia and grinned, waving at the lynx girl. She was glad to see someone she knew in here.

Classes were getting sorted out, friends were getting made, and best of all Mom seemed to be coming back--so really, things couldn't've been better for Indigo and Citrine. That was why a cheerful whistling presaged the appearance of a pair of striped purple feelers around the corner of the room, followed shortly by the velvet worm and her dragon. "Hii~i," she trilled to all and sundry, whilst Citrine dropped into a low crouch and began stalking Keir's tail. Stalk. Stalk stalk. Creep.

First in was Lucia, whom he greeted with a smile and nod. "It is nice to meet you, Lucia, Tiamat. I am Kayin Gamba." he watched them sit down, then went back to looking at the door in time for another feline to come in. "Ah, Over here." He gave a wave, noticing she was looking more towards the foliage than at them. "We should have three more students, then class will begin." His voice was somewhat accented, but very calm.

Another two soon poured in, "Right on time." He greeted them as well, smile widening as he noticed all the children seemed to stop and stare at his choice of room. The girl was speaking first, so he only gave Chath a nod of acknowlagement. "It is nice to meet you as well, Ala, and Bob. My name is Kayin." his gaze moved to the door again. "Just one more student to arrive... Ah, there." The last was in the rom right on time as the rest. "Good good! That is everyone."

With that, he turned to the momo, giving it smile and pointing to the door "Please?" The momo seemed to understand this, and was quickly bounding to the door with a few squeaks. It shut the door, the pressed the little lock button, so no one would wander in and interupt the class.

"This way, please." He announced, leading them into the thick of the "jungle." It wasn't too bad, and he moved slowly incase some of them wanted to stare or the like. And soon they were arriving at a rushing river, the water only went about knee high, but it was moving enough to create a good pressure if one was in it. He turned to make sure all his students had followed, beginning a lecture with a smile. "We are going to learn balance of the mind today class... This is the first step in acheiving power. Balance is what keeps you upright, and if you are unbalanced you will fall... And in a fight, imagine how well that would do if you had fallen on your keester?" He gave a soft chuckle. "Even a mighty oak can be blow over by the slightest breeze if not for the water it takes in through it's roots. We must be the same as the oak, and rely on our strength from within ourselves." He gave a look over the class, "Does that make sense?"
PostPosted: Mon Dec 11, 2006 8:46 am

Balance....yes that made sense. He remembered back to his first defense class and how he had stumbeled and fell. Yah he didn't want to repeat that event again. There...were a LOT of girls in this class many of which h had never met before. Well...this should be interesting anyway. Learning how to balance seemed like a good idea to him. And this teacher didn't seem to be evil. Thankgod. All the others he had seemed to hate their jobs immensely. So this was indeed a nice change.

Keir on the other hand had noticed he was being stalked. He turned his dark head giving Citrine a look that could on spell out. 'catch that tail and you will regret it' His wings fanned out a bit in a aggressive manner.

LucĂa smiles satisfied of herself to be the first one in finding the class, "nice to meet you Mr. Kayin", then she sits down in their place and she hears to someone enter and for her surprise they're Sahra and Eph, she giggle, "for sure they don't recognize me now I'm more elder", she wave they and grinned. Next to Sahra enter Chath she met him in a skate park but only for a bit of time he same nice. She is surprised when seeing her friend Ala to arrive behind Chath and she greets her and pointing out her a place near her so that she can sit down. The last student was another girl, but this time she doesn't know her, "good three of four are not bad" she grinned.

Then she centers all her attention in the professor and continues listening him sincerely, " wow balance, cool I have good balance" she grinned thinking in her balance with skate and skateboard. " I hope is the same balance, I dont want fall infront of Ala" she think and puckers the frown.

Ala gave a smile to the teacher. "Nice to meet you too, Mr. Kayin." Then she saw Lucia waving her over, so she moved over to stand next to the lynx girl. She turned as the last kid entered. The only one Ala knew in here was Lucia. Bob greeted Tiamet in draconic.

Then the man spoke and Ala got up to follow after the teacher. The classroom was very nice, exactly the kind of place she would like her room to be like. Except maybe some bigger trees.

She looked back at the teacher as they stopped at the edge of a river. Balance of the mind? That sounded hard. Though his explination about balance did make sense, so she nodded at his question.

Having been in a daze for a good portion of the few minutes they had actually been inside the classroom, Sahra was taking her time to breathe, and take in her new surroundings. After all, it was important to know what you were getting yourself into. Well, She thought, attention finally falling back to their new teacher, Time to move I guess.

Following close behind the group, the cheetah was forced to stay at a steady pace, due to her overly exerted dragon. She knew she shouldn't have let him run that last lap! "That makes perfect sense." Sahra blabbed softly to herself, hand stroking the side of her partner's long neck gently as they came to a halt. Everyone needed strength to have balance, and will power to say the least; after all, if you didn't want something then it wouldn't happen, or at least not well, right? It was easily compared to all the times she herself had lost balance while running at high speeds; before she had learned how to control her movements better, and use her tail in the correct fashion, the cheetah didn't exactly have shining talent in the balance department. This should prove to be interesting.

((Sorry about the wait, guys! I thought I'd posted already, but evidently not. xd My brain is going in my old age.))

Indigo bobbed after the rest of the group, turning this way and that to examine the miniature forest with open curiosity as they walked. It was all so pretty! And definitely the kind of place her DNA made her feel at home in. She reached out to pet a broad-leafed plant as they passed it, grinning to herself. "Hello little plant~," she crooned to it.

She slowed down with the rest as they approached the stream, turning to face Kayin as he spoke up. The words made her wrinkle up her nose in mild confusion--it was all so Zen, as Mom would have said--and her antennae scrunched as well. Still, the meaning was pretty clear and after a moment of thought she nodded. "Uh-huh! Just like everything else, I guess you can't balance if your mind doesn't know how."

As Keir turned to grace her with an aggressive look, Citrine hunkered down until her belly was nearly against the mossy ground, tailtip flick-flicking behind her, a mischievous grin on her muzzle. She reached one forepaw forward slooowly, holding it over Keir's tail and waving it in a "I'm not touching it~" gesture.

He watched his students expressions, taking a mental note to each of their reactions to his statements. They all seemed to understand.. Good.

Giving a warm smile, he nodded to the group, since everyone understood they could move right along. "So, I want you all to get in the water." He stated, gesturing to the river that twisted around a corner in each direction. "Don't worry about your clothing, it's just water, it won't be harmed. And I have towels for all of you." He reassured them all, moving closer to the edge.

When the students entered, the water would reach to their knees, varying slightly from their different heights, but not deep enough to swim proporly. They'd be met with a force against their legs, and the slick bottum made it difficult to move forward, but not hard enough to stand still. "This is a race, you all must run through the water to the end as fast as you can, theres a red ribbon across your goal line, you won't miss it." He waited for them all to get situated, before counting down "3...2...1... Go." He didn't shout the initiation like most would have expected, just stated it softly.

((Post your actions, and I'll tell you what happens, since I'll be using dice and coinflips to determine wether you fall or not sometimes. :3

Right: "Momo ran forward against the current."
Wrong: "Momo ran forward against the current, nearly losing his balance, but managing to catch himself and rush past the others."))

Alaqua stared at the teacher for a moment. Get into the water? It seemed the man wasn't kidding. With a sigh, she headed for the stream. The water was cool, but not too cold for the girl. She carefully found a spot and stood there, listening to the man's next instructions. Run upstream? She was still thinking on what relation that could have to their class when Kayin counted down and started the race.

Startled at the abrupt start, she headed forward.

Chath looked happy at this. Water blissful water. Taking off his sandles, he went in the water cooling him down immensly he felt much better than when he had first arrived for sure. Now...this was suppose to be a running contest...in the strong current with slick stones underneath. He shifted his weight a bit feeling the sludge on his toes. This would prove more difficult than originally thought.

Catching the sounds of the 3, 2, 1 go he watched as Alaqua started abruptly and then followed close behind. The shifting of stones did indeed send his balance flying and he slowed down using his arms and tail to regain his balance before continueing on.
