Kaosu wasn't familiar with the area, but he was told this was a shortcut. And quite the dirty one, at that. Kaosu thought, trying his hardest not to soil his robes as he walked down the long path. A few screeches of mice freaked him out just slightly, but he was okay with the fact. He had owned rats before, so mice weren't a problem.
Then, about halfway through the dark and murky alleyway, Kaosu heard a rattle. Not so dry and ominous as a rattlesnake's, but a rattle nonetheless. He stopped, his heart beating louder, harder as he searched for the source of the eerie noise. Then, a large metal trashcan rolled into the street. He heard someone curse as the can finally came to a rest in the middle of the alley.
"Who's there?" Kaosu yelled forward. He knew someone was there. Voices do not usually materialize themselves from nowhere. "Come out now." Then, almost instantly as Kaosu said this, a figure emerged from the shadow.
"Well, I'm out now." The figure said. For as much as Kaosu could see, the man had muscles but they looked out of work as their tone was hidden by a large amount of flab. "I thought I was being silent enough, oh well." Kaosu stood his position as the man approached forward. "Now, if you would, little boy, hand over everything valuable and no one will get hurt."
Kaosu was about to voice his displeasure and objection, when he heard the scruff of feet behind him. He ducked, missing a whirring pipe by just a hair. He pulled his zanpaku-to from his newly positioned shoulder sheath, ready to take on the next attack. Kaosu smiled as he said "So, it's a fight you want, huh? Well, then, this 'little boy' is going to send you with your tails inbetween his legs."

Attack Mugger#1 The man on Kaosu's right, the original attacker, went forward first. He drew a small dagger from his sleeve and went after Kaosu's neck. Straight for the jugular, simple, effective. He didn't care if this kid was a shinigami, he wanted money. [Attack roll: 1d20 + 7]

Kaosu saw the small, intricate dagger plunging toward his throat. Probably stolen Kaosu thought as he planned his next move, whether or not the other oaf was going to join in the fight or not. But that didn't matter, because Kaosu just grabbed the man's wrist tightly, halting the motion of the dagger. He then twisted, forcing the man to drop the dagger onto the grimy earth below.

Then, siezing his chance, the second man swung the heavy, lead pipe, hoping to come in contact with Kaosu's skull, thereby either knocking him out or harming him badly. Either one Kaosu didn't want happening.
[Attack Roll: 1d20 + 5]
Kaosu almost knew it was going to happen. He left himself too open, and he regretted making that decision. All Kaosu could do was wait for the man to act, and act he did. Kaosu heard the low hum of the pipe swinging downward, and tried to dodge it. He jumped forward, meeting the other side of the alley, and the pipe rent through the layers of liquid earth, eventually coming to a rest in the soft ground underneath. Kaosu sheathed his sword, and put his fists up. He wasn't going to hurt them badly if he didn't have to.

Kaosu took a swing at the man with the pipe, the only one with a weapon at the time. He knew the other man was probably searching in the dark for his dagger, but current dangers possessed more importance. He took a swing at the big man, aiming right for his large jaw with his hard knuckles.
Kaosu hated beggars and bums. They needed to get off their lazy asses and DO something with their lives, but they continued to live in refuse, complaining about how badly their lives sucked. Well, this fact didn't deter Kaosu from using all his strength behind his blows.

The second man just moved his jaw, barely avoiding the powerful blow. He then whipped his pipe upwards, hoping to come in contact with the student shinigame while his comrade still searched in the blinding dark of the ground for his precious weapon. [Attack roll: 1d20 + 5] Kaosu was sure that the blow was going to make contact, but it didn't. Then, underfoot, he felt the pipe stir, then fly upwards. [Dodge roll: 1d20 + 12]

Kaosu jumped upwards, up and over the arc of slimy pipe, missing it by centimeters. Then, on the return descent, he saw the other man had finally found his knife under a greasy pile of papers. I'd better knock out number two here, Kaosu thought, or this may be a bit harder than anticipated. So, continuing the motion, he used both gravity and his strength to push his knuckles downward, slicing a straight line towards the man's nose. [Attack Roll: 1d20 + 6] {Dodge Roll: 1d20 + 12}

Kaosu felt a satisfying contact of his knuckles on the man's nose, hearing the soft crunch of the cartilage bridge beneath his fingers. He finally hit the ground, his hand smeared with blood from the man's nose. Kaosu looked up and the man was dropping to his knees, covering his nose. The blood oozed out of the man's tightly woven fingers, dripping eerily onto the ground below. That's one. Kaosu said, turning around to the other.

But, instead of a man searching for his dagger, Kaosu saw a figure already near enough to Kaosu to smell his vile odor. Kaosu had minimal time to react, but he was in the same situation with Ugu. Not enough time to react. But, this was life-threatening, not bruise-enduring. {Attack Roll: 7} [Dodge Roll: 12]

Kaosu dodged the thrust dagger, grabbed the man's arm covered in rough fabric, almost like burlap, and thrust his fist hard at the mugger's stomach. "That's for trying to knife me!" Kaosu explained. [Attack Roll: +6] {Dodge Roll: +10}

Unfortunately, the swing whizzed by with a hairs breadth near his chest, ruffling through the man's shirt instead. Kaosu turned, and the man he just attacked was already on the offensive, the big man lugging behind, bloodied face and pipe in tow. Looks like he'd have to take them on both at a time. {Attack Roll: +7} {Attack Roll: +5} [Dodge Rolls: +12]

Kaosu dodged to the left of the thrust, torso tilted away from the blade. Then, he went back and again grabbed the man's wrist. He was going to again twist the sharp blade out of his hands, but he almost forgot about the other man. The pipe went whirring from behind, going for the knee joint. Kaosu jumped to the right, both dodging the pipe, but disorienting the man with the dagger. He released pressure on the man's wrist, allowing the man to slip back, then he yanked forward, pulling the man forcefully towards himself, fist going out to meet him in a corkscrew fashion.
