Well, since some people come here and aren't as far along in Death Note as the rest... aren't current I should say. I decided to make a thread where they could come and talk about the chapters they're on if they want...
Uh, try your hardest not to give out any spoilers to anyone! I'll say it here though, please read this thread at your own risk if you aren't very far. Spoilers could easily be given out by accident!
Basically... talk about chapters that are at least five behind what the current one that's scanlated is (but if you want to talk about another, eh, feel free to also. I won't snap at you or anything as long as you don't talk about the most current one).

Well, then, why don't I start? wink And I'll start at Chapter 1, too. That way no one can smack me down... sweatdrop
In the Viz-translated Death Note chapter 1 that I read in one of Viz's preview mangas (they hand them out for free at conventions such as Anime Expo, where I got mine), Ryuuku told Light: "Don't think that any human who's used the Death Note can go to heaven or hell".
So... discussion. Does that mean that the users of the Death Note turn into Shinigami? So then the Shinigami were once users of the Death Note itself as humans? Maybe a Death Note owner STAYS a Death Note owner (and can thus become a Shinigami, since Shinigami own Death Notes) until the ownership is given away...? But then, Ryuuku would have stopped being a Shinigami, now, wouldn't he? ^__^ Maybe we'll find out... I still wonder what Light's life expectancy is...?

I was just pondering that the other day. Yes. I always thought that Ryuuku looked a bit like a fish. A weird, stitched-up zombie fish... and Rem looks like a mummy!
But Raito's pretty handsome... at least, he was more so when his eyes were bigger (XD!) and when he was nicer. I like him better as a nice guy, but heck, the evil Raito is "fun" to hang out with. Jeez, I think my personality is somewhat like Ryuuku's... xd So, the point of this is, I wonder what he'd end up looking like?

Don't forget about Misa though... she's a Death Note owner too. She'd probably look like the bride of frankenstein or something...
