It seems everyone has some injury today. Well, I've had an issue for a few days, and I believe it's about time for me to rant about it.

Here's what it is. I have rather sensitive skin, and when it gets cold, the backs of my hands chap cause I don't dry them well after I wash them, especially behind the thumbs. This year, they got particularly bad. Usually a few days with lotion and care will have them in top shape for the winter, but not this year. They cracked and bled, it became painful to move the hand or the wrist, the chapping spread across the whole hand... Friday night, it got so bad I almost cried. They were covered in scabs that wouldn't heal, and bled everytime I typed. So, yesterday, I got fed up and bought some gauze and medical tape and Vaseline...



I made bandages like that for both hands. Talk about self-medication. xd

The tape itches, and it's hard to wash my hands, but my hands are healing a little. I took it off last night, they weren't as swollen and inflamed and there were no new cracks. They hurt less, but now they're starting to itch. ;_;

And the Vaseline makes them feel all sticky. gonk

I hate being sick..Been to the hospital once in my life I think..Just to get tubes put into my ears.Now every time I go outside, I must wear my hood or something to cover my ears so they don't get infected.Ow...My top ear piercing is begining to hurt again...I had to stay over night at the hospital after I Got my tubes put in, because I wouldn't finish my water.IV's bug when they are in your ankle.And I was only in grade 4 or five at that time so it didn't help...At least they kept giving me new warm blankets, and my doctor person bought me a tiger stuffy.I was greatful once I was out of there.I was on second or fourth floor of Chilliwack Hospital.(THe hospital sucks!They were going to send my grandpa home, when he was terribly ill with an iffection, and two leaking valves to his heart.Then they go lie to my uncles parents, saying they sent him home, when they didn't.He was transfered to a different, and better hospital.)

Water + chapped hands = bad. ._. Do you offer to help her?

@ Marly- I loathe hospitals. Hate being in them, hate visiting people in them. They're so stiff and sterile and daunting, and I can smell death in the hallways... My grandma was in and out of hospitals for the last few years of her life, always with the transfers and the nurses and the complaints, and now my other grandmother is in a hospital after breaking her ankle. ;_;

THat sucks badly.MAjorly...But, my grandpa is getting better...Now that he is in a better hospital, that is doing something about his infection, then what the hospital did here. stare The hospital was going to let him come home, and did not care if he died. gonk

At least you offer. D: I know that the water always hurts me. Life generally sucks when the hands are bad.

It happens on my ears too, I'm allergic to metal, and my earrings made my ears turn bright red and bleed, then it spread to my arms and hands because I was washing my hands too much. (I'm a clean freak, always have been). x3 My ears are better now but my hands are all bleeding and stuff. D; <333
