The ligress was stalking small prey and not to eat it just for fun. She was trying to get things off her mind. These males liked to play tricks with her mind and she was tired of them, well one in paticular for the time being. Her tail flickered softly as she pounced after the meerkat. It scampered into one of its holes and she just looked down, frustrated perhaps. She looked over and the same one was peeking at her from a different hole. She roared at it and it scurried down into its dark labrynth. She huffed padding away careless at the moment, she didn't have any idea what she intended to do for the rest of the day. It was almost dawn.

Laying very still in the soft grass, Casalure sighed in content. The mist swirled around him, wrapping his soft coat in a sheen of diamonds. He watched a multi-colored bird hop around paces away from him, grinning when she turned a jewel-bright eye upon him. "Greetings Aseeri, Watcher of the World and Eyes of a Shaman." The Storm's Singer purred. Aseeri chirruped a hello and bowed her head, then cast herself into the sky. "Farewell Storm's Singer, PyreFly Prince." "Farewell." He laughed, and then cast his eyes across the Grasslands, wondering if any others were about so late, or rather, so early.

The lioness or rather ligress, looked to the sky it was fading to purples and pinks with oranges and dark blues. It was rather appealing to the eye. Her pale orbs glanced around until a scent came...a male. Thats ironic, she looked over to see a pale figure with a dark mane. A mist engulfed him it seemed, or rather played around him rather mystical and gave her a slightly foreboding feeling but it eased from her slowly but surely.

Casalure stood slowly, a soft smile playing at his mouth as the mist rose with him, clinging to his coat as though he were a child of spirit and mist rather than Songs and Dreams. 'They are not so different.' A wise voice said inside him, and he nodded his head in agreement. Suddenly, as though something alerted him to her distant presence, he turned silver eyes upon the delicate female not far from him. He smiled gently and took a few steps towards her, pulling free of the mist with a little effort. It roiled and condensed behind him, shrinking in upon itself as it mourned his departure. "Greetings."

Casalure considered the female as he approached, smiling gently. "My Lady?" He asked, unsure if she had heard him at first. "Greetings, may I ask your name?"

Briseis had zoned out thinking, leaving her guard down and she came to her senses as the male's scent was next to her. Her eyes shot wide, "Oh I'm sorry," she looked to him trying to remember hearing what he had said. She tilted her said slightly, "My name?" she looked to him with her light eyes, my he was up front. "Is Briseis." she smiled gently, she was in a better mood than usual now. "And yours m'lord?"

He smiled a charming smile. "Well met, Lady Briseis.. I am Casalure, son of Whistle and Ballad, Prince of Temple's Decorations." At the end of his words, he bowed low. Prince he was, and as a member of a court, one learned the niceties of a fine gesture usually eased visitors and made them more at ease. Such a lovely lioness should be smiling, in his mind, so he did all he could to be charming and kind.

Briseis watched, charms didn't do it for her anymore. Trust did, unfortunatly she still wanted to be in awe of charm but it did not grasp her like it used to. "Indeed, it is a pleasure to meet you Prince Casalure." Who was she a commoner? Yess she would address him formally, one she did not knw him, two she was a regular lioness and three it was proper.

He flushed. "Casalure please, or Cas.. Most just call me Cas.. I'd rather not be called "Prince", unless I am among Pride members seeking my aid.. Only more formal occassions really... And not at all if I can help it.." He batted at the grass, a surprisingly bashful gesture.

"Cas it tis, then." she smiled. She liked it when she didn't have to be so...formal. Made her feel more connected and more of a friendship perhaps. "So do you travel out here often?" tey were pretty far put but perhaps his pride was closer to here than hers was. Her blue eyes watched him as her tail swayed gently from behind her.

Casalure nodded, smiling a little wider as he relaxed. "Yes.. My family's pride is a few miles to the west, and it's not a hard run to here... I am afraid wandering is a trademark of the family, and I have many friends in the prides of these lands, so I find myself traveling frequently, if only to be sure they are well..."

She nodded, she seemed not to be so talkative for the day. Her cool eyes watched him, "Thats kind of you to check on your friends." she smiled. "I have few of them but they are indeed close. Adrastos is one, King of Cerulean Waves and then I still roam in the pride I grew up in so all is well. I don't have to travel much if any and I like staying close to home unless its a nice day like this and just need to stretch."

He gave a huff of embarassment and bowed his head, bashful. "I worry is all..." He gave a smile. "You too look out for your friends? An admirable quality in a lady... Traveling is fine in its own right, but so is staying close to home.. There is no trait in them that is higher than the other..." He sat and wrapped his tail about his legs, cautiously watching the sun... The clouds covered it and he breathed a sigh of relief, glad for the respite.. Soon he would need to seek shade, and water... But for now he could speak to this fine lioness, and enjoy the day.

"Worrying is good, sometimes." she added. She nodded, "I do look out for Adrastos and many others. I've known him since cub hood and since two of our childeren are roaming in his lands I go to see them." She wasn't going to deny to anyone she had childeren. She loved and was proud of all of them and if anyone had a problem with it they could shove it.

Casalure paused to wonder what it would be like to have cubs, then gave her a sad, envious smile. "You have children? That is wondrous indeed..." He spoke softly, reverently. He had always wanted cubs, deep down... Looking at how happy his mother and father were with their children, and their love... He shook his head and gave a falsely bright smile to hide his inner turmoil. "I am sure they are very lucky to have a mother like you..."
