Joy leaned against the back of the pillar, letting the angellic vibrations emanating from the band carress her pale skin. Her rosy lips twisted gently into a smile as a strawberry was placed between her teeth. Her lipstick would not come off, so no weird taste was produced as she delicately chewed the fruit. A basket to the right of her manicured hand held a reserve store of those ruby treasures.

Tonight Joy had actually dressed up-- in white too. A greek-like dress hung loosely from her shoulders held by a strip of shining silver and a rose on one shoulder, sleeveless and pure. A silver belt held it closed around her waist, left hanging diagonally and sparkly in the slightly dim lights of the ballroom. The dress was floor-length and relatively plain, but gave her feminine body a delicate feel. Her raven black hair was brushed and styled loosely over her right shoulder to hang to her waist. Light makeup was placed on her eyes, making them sparkle. Her ruby lips glistened impeccably, accentuating her baby-face but making her seem more mature. The whole effect was stunning.

At a song change, Joy moved her legs over sideways and peeked out from behind the pillar, watching all the dancers switching partners from her place behind the band. Before anyone could notice, she ducked behind the plaster column and grinned mischieviously, showing stunningly white teeth. "Well, at least I have strawberries." She smiled and popped another one into her mouth and dleighted in her favorite food.

Joy turned her head towards the man who had came to lean against the pillar 3 down from hers. A frown marred her face. He didn't seem to want to come talk to her-- which was good, but he was still too close for the paranoid girl to dismiss him. She leaned over and gingerly picked a strawberry from her little basket. A couple times it flew into the air then back into her pale hand before it was launched in an ark towards the man.

I seem to recently have taken a liking for throwing for throwing fruit at men. I hope it explodes when it hits.

Joy smirked and turned her head back to the wall she was facing, not bothering to even see the red orb smash into his head. She didn't care if he got mad, she just wanted him to leave. Joy popped another piece of fruit into her mouth and closed her eyes briefly to delight in the juice that flowed out of the strawberry.

A quick shift of position to relieve her screaming leg-muscles, then a small yawn. The party was boring, but Joy couldn't deny the peace flowing from the vibrations hitting her skin. She would be hard pressed to find the like anywhere else. The girl closed her eyes then thought of the secret santa that was going on. What kind of gift could she make with her powers?

Duo walked into the white ball quietly, his white hair shadowing his eyes as it always did. He wore a pair of white slacks, a red button up shirt, and a white double button jacket. His blue eyes scanned the room quietly. Joy was there. Someone who was either a girl or a boy, Duo couldn't really tell, had left, a piece of strawberry in his hair. Looks like Madamouiselle Joy just can't stop flinging fruit at whatever passes by... He thought to himself, a slight smile tugging the corner of his mouth. Then he realized that she might try and hit him again, so he kept his distance and his eyes open so he wouldn't get hit with a strawberry. It wouldn't exactly be fun to have something like that staining his clothes.

Duo had settled against a pillar to shield himself from anything Joy might have attempted throwing when he noticed a small girl with black headphones on. She was small too. Extremely small. Duo walked over to her quietly and noticed she was listening with extreme concentration to the music. A waltz of all things was being played. He looked down at her. She had to be about seven or eight. "You really seem to enjoy this music..." He said quietly, his french accent causing his words to sound slightly peculiar, but not unpleasant.

Duo heard her response and asked a few simple questions about music, particularly things by Beethoven, Mozart, and many other composers. "Have you ever heard any of Beethoven's symphonies?" He asked with a curious note in his quiet voice. "And what about Mozart? I've listened to alot of traditional music... Including Italian, but I've forgotten those names... Italian's love complicated names don't they...?" He asked while observing her.

"Thanks..." Duo said and took the headphones and placed them on his head, over his ears. He hit play and was greeted by one of Beethoven's many symphonies. It played loudly and beautifully, even though he preferred a live orchestra. He continued listening to other songs and when he was satisfied, he handed it back to her. "You seem rather young to appreciate music from back then... I'm surprised a young girl like you could enjoy classical music as much as you do..." He said quietly, smiling.

"I don't mind, but you'll have to convince her yourself, kitty cat." Raz smiled a little at the thought of Josie dancing a slow dance and almost started laughing, her sister was possibly the only person she knew who hated slow dancing to death. She let a low whistle as they entered the ballroom and her eyes went a little wide. She was amazed at the beauty of it all.

"Cool." Josie walked in after Raz and Tuomas and looked around at the pillars and dance floor, hoping that the band didn't only play slow songs.
