im really likin' my dean markley 14-103's but i remember the great sound of elixers. man, those were the days.

i tend to go with flatwound strings cause there hella smooth and fun to play, you can also tell a big sound difference

I don't necessarily have any favorite brand(s).. but right now I have a set of D'addario XL's on my Jazz and DR Hi-Beams on my Flying V.
EDIT: I would however recommend D'addario Chrome Flats to just about anyone and everyone though. xd

I love Rotosounds flatwounds. But for roundwounds I do Blue Nickels. Extremely bright, I love them.

I used to swear by Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinkies but now it's either D'Addario XLs or Rotosound Swings.

D'Addario strings all the way,wheither Chromes or Xls cant go wrong there.gonna try Half-Wounds soon though.... heart

D'Addario XL's. Always. D'Addario. I don' tknow bass gauges... seeing as my girlfriend is more a bassist than I am. We just bought whatever, but D'Addario's are my guitar brand so we use them on our bass aswell.
