Yeh, I know I should probably ask the tech & computer issues or whatever forum, but uhh,
...DON'T QUESTION MY METHODS!
anywhose, it starts up, and immediately comes up with an error message Quote: C:WINDOWS(slash)_default.pif Invalid program file name, please check your pif file. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application
and I can't type in DOS while the error is there, and the only option on the error is "Close" so...yeh
edit: The backslash doesn't show up in the quote box, so I put it in parenthesesEdit: Roger's an idiot, don't worry about it

... Question... are you trying to access MSDOS or just Command Prompt?

it's been far too long since I've tried to activate a DOS program...

It's also more than likely I'm doing it wrong, and have forgotten how to access MSDOS

Just enter windows and use Run>Command
That'll open command prompt. ^^
Also, if you're running any Windows version since 98, MSDOS doesn't work properly. Gotta use Command Prompt.
