I apologize in advance if this is really bad writing, I'm just kinda writing from memory and in a stream of conciousness thing.
I've always wondered how weird it is for someone to commit polygamy. I got into this heated debate with a person in the forums about how polygamy is wrong and gross. She told me that she believed that you can love multiple people, and I said that if you really, truly loved someone with all your heart, then you would be with only that person. I mean, it isn't shopping - it's not like, since you can choose between the two people (or more), you can't get them both. Besides, when I shop, even I look back and say that "Yeah, I'm glad I chose this shirt" or "Darn, I should've chosen the other one." There's always a dominate one that you like best, anyways. Even if you buy both shirts, you'll still end up wearing one more than the other. I mean, I loved Kamui, so much. But when I made that choice between him and Seiya, I chose Seiya because I knew that I loved him most. I wasn't like, "Can't I have both?" because that's selfish and childish. I just think that when you are in love with multiple people, you either get sick of all of them or one ends up being your b***h whenever you get horny. Besides, having multiple relationships shows that you are just in it because you got sick of these other people, you know what I mean? It's kind of like being "Well, I'm getting sick of THIS person, so I'll go to this one..." I think it's an insecurity thing, because if it doesn't work with one person, you still have the other one or two or three or more...your thoughts, people?

I agree with you completly. It's just wrong to be involved with multiple people at the same time. I understand that a person may have feelings for more than one person, but that doesn't make it right to be with all of them at that moment. If things don't work out with one, then it would be alright to move onto the others, but people gotta learn that you need to control your feelings. If someone doesn't then they could end up hurting themselves and everyone else who they have feelings for.
Well I guess that's my little take on polygamy.

No, Ava. Mormons in Utah do not do it all the time. "Do it." :] I didn't pick a poll option.
Polygamy is the state of being married to multiple people. Like any monogamous marriage, this does not require love. It is not selfish to be married to more than one person, especially if all parties are willing. What is selfish is the reasoning behind polygamy. So polygamy itself is not wrong, so it is not "wrong" to "commit polygamy" (ignoring the legal issues concerning it).

Geh, I hate it when people get the wrong info xp
Polygamy was practiced during the 1800s because our prophet of the time recieved a revelation to do so in order to spread the gospel to more and raise children under it. Although around the early 1900s the new prophet recieved revalation which no longer supported polygamy since our church had grown so big, it was no longer necessary.
