Posey trotted down the path from her home, taking a walk. It was a cool winter day and sweet coconut snow blanketed the ground. As one fell on her nose, she thought of how Sizzle was faring in the weather and chuckled.

"SIZZLE!!!" screached Souleater, "Could you get your flamey butt over here and make yourself usefull by lighting a fire in the hearth?!" Sizzle set down the sudoku puzzle he was pondering over and sighed. Strolling slowly over to the fireplace at Brittle Manor he gave a quicky swish of his right wing extending the flames rushing over the dry bark and igniting it. Without saying a word he turned and headed towards the front door. "Exellent" Soul proclaimed to himself as he made himself comfortable near the blazing yule log before him. Not even a 'thank you' from Soul, of coarse. "You're welcome..." Sizzle muttered, his tone barely audiable and he headed for the door. A wave of depression hit him as he wandered out into the cold.
It was terrible, even though it wasn't really all that a cold winterday. Without thinking he bolted away from the house. He didn't know where he was going, but he was going away...and that's all that mattered. After some time of running to help keep warm Sizzle noticed something colder than cold pattering down upon him. It must be snow he presumed, but he was too cold to stop and pay attention to the weather. Eventually he found himself just minutes away from Posey's place. He hadnt even realized he had subconciously headed there.
He paused, the snow was coming down heavier now and the flames about his wings were dimmer than usual. That wasn't a good sign. And to make things worse...things were spinning around Sizzle. Fatigue, dizziness and the power of the cold started getting to him. He bolted for the path to Posey's but it was too late...
Sizzle lost footing on patch of frozen swamp muck and he promptly went sliding into a tree stump. "AHHHG!" he yelped, slumping over, his front paw clearly injured from the impact. He couldn't walk well and he didn't want to risk trying to fly in such abnormal weather. So he curled up and shielded himself with his wings. He looked pathetic. A strong and energetic adult numa, lying in fetal possition in the falling snow in a swamp.

Thats weird... she thought as the snow gradually increased into a semi-blizzard. Not taking another thought, she kept hopping along, making little tracks through the knee-deep snow. As she exited the Lollypop forest, she saw a flaming orange bundle sitting under a tree. She couldn't tell exactly who it was through the snow, but she had a hunch,
"Yo! Sizzle!" she exclaimed, jumping through snowdrifts over to him. Screeching to a halt, she stopped a few feet short and mumbled embarressedly, "Oh! Sorry! I thought you were someone else!" That definatly wasn't Sizzle. He was much smaller...right? Seeing that they were hurt, she hurried over to check it out. "Oh! It is you Sizzle!" she said happily. But remembering that he was hurt, she dragged/hovered him through the snow, bringing him back to her house.
Pushing the door open, she was promptly welcomed by a loud screech, "POSEY! CLOSE THE DOOR BEHIND YOUUUUUUUU!" { scream } It was Raein. Quite annoyed at this point, she shot her a 'one more peep and your dead in your sleep' glance. "Eheheh...yeah. I'll go make some hot cocoa, kay...?" {^^;;} Raein edged out into the kitchen, leaving Posey alone with Sizzle.
She heaved him gently onto the gummy couch next to the fireplace, hoping to warm him up. She gently prodded him and said, "Sizzle? Hello?"

The sudden amount of warmth from being out of the cold and into a home caused Sizzle to stir. Slowly, but surely, he blinked his eyes open and was met by a familiar face. "Urhmph, what...where am I?" Sizzle moaned, sitting up a little more, "Posey? That you?" He questioned slowly. He gazed around the hearty home and a smile broke out on his face. She must have resqued him and dragged him inside. What a wonder how she managed to get him inside, after all, he now was quite bigger than her. Posey always was a strong girl. "You helped me didn't you? Thanks. Thanks so much" he exclaimed, his wits and bearings coming about him. However, when he reached out to hug her he was met by a sharp twinge of pain. "Ow!" he yelped, glancing at his injured paw. "Oh yeah, forgot I hurt that..." sweatdrop Sizzle sighed.

"Oh!" Posey exclaimed, happy that the was okay. "Hey Sizzle! Yup, its me, Posey. No problem!" she smiled. "You hurt your paw?" she asked. "Lemme see!" Posey gently took his paw and saw that it was cut and swollen from hitting something. "Heh, this is probabaly the last thing you need, but you need an ice pack for that." Getting up, she dashed into the kitchen and took out a piece of ice from the cooling box. Posey wrapped it in some waterproof material and brought it back. "Hold this." she directed, placing it into his paw.
Soon, Raein came through the doorway. "Hello! You must be Sizzle! Posey's told me all about you!" she greeted heartily. Stooping down, she placed a tray with mug/bowls full of hot cocoa drink with marshmellows onto the gingerbread coffee table. "This oughta warm you straight up!" Looking at his paw, she said, "Oooh, I'll get a bandage to wrap it with. Be back soon." As she said, Raein returned quickly from the bathroom with a roll of bandages. Setting it on the table, she said, "If you need anything, just holler!" and left.
"Okay," Posey replied. Turning back to Sizzle, she said, "We can bandage it up once the swelling has gone down." Looking down at the floor, she asked, "What happened?"

Sizzle let out a groan as he put the ice on his paw to reduce the swelling and let it sit there on its own. He now knew a new dislike...the cold. { xp } With his free, unharmed paw he reached for hot coco, quickly guzzling some down to reheat his body some more before replying to Posey. "Eh there doll, I'm okay" he began, "I got a little heated about Soul's misuse of me and the lack of appreciation I recieve around Brittle Manor that I stormed off without thinking. Snow started to fall, I got overly cold...wound up making a dash for your place and slipped on heck-knows-what...which...of coarse...sent clumsey old me careening into a tree stump" Sizzle summed up. He glanced down at his injured paw then back up at Posey. "If you hadn't found me and dragged me inside, I most likely would have frozen to death" Sizzle blushed, { redface }, "Thank you" the numa replied whole-heartedly, "Thank you so much for savin' me Posey."

"Aw, that sucks!" she exclaimed. "That pup should be very greatful for anything you do to help him!" Posey spat. Calming down a little, she said, "Well, anyhoo. Glad to see you safe. Heh, very unlucky that you got caught in that blizzard!" she smiled. "Besides, it was nothin'. Raein always says, a friend in need is a friend in need! SO HELP 'EM!" Posey smiled goofishly. Of course any advice coming from Raein would be complete and utter crap, but Posey just wanted to lighten the mood.
Switching the topic from Sizzle's near traumatic experience, she stupidly said, "So, I see you've grown! Big and strong, huh?"

Sizzle gave a warm smile. "Bigger and swifter. But I wouldn't say stronger...well maybe a bit...but not a lot. I mean...well you know. Maybe I wouldn't have gotten hurt if I really was stronger" Sizzle sweat dropped. He chuckled lightly and carried on, "Anyhow, I um...you look relly nice today, doll" Sizzle fished for something to say. "Would you...like to do something? Its so good to see you again and I'd hate to be a lame bore!" he laughed.

((Omg, this reminds me of when in this utterly stupid but disgustingly addictive american show called Avatar [The thing thats causing a riot...in Amerrrica. 8D] one episode this guy is talking to this girl he likes and he says, "So...um...would you like to do an activity?" xDD Its so hilarious. TO me. Of course everythings funny to me. cool ;;;;
You know whats ironic? We had a semi-blizzard just now...xD))
"Nah, I think it was just bad luck! I mean, y'know, ya can hardly see in a blizzard 'n all. I'm sure you're loads stronger!" she praised, returning his smile. Blushing slightly, Posey said quietly, "Really? I mean, I just look like I always do..." {o/////o} Quickly clearing her head, she said, "Sure! It looks like the blizzard stopped. We could go outside, but since there's still snow, you might want to stay inside, huh? Hahah, don't worry! You're certainly not a bore!"

Sizzle pondered a moment. "Saying...inside...sounds good" he admitted, blushing slightly. His weakness involving snow was imbarassing to him. "I'm sure we could come up with somethin' to do indoors thats fun! What do you think?" he continued. He was racking his mind to try and come up with something, but nothing was coming to mind at all. He was kinda just blankly staring off at the warm fire in the fireplace and enjoying relaxing.

It's snowing over here again! ^o^))
"Well we can stay inside, of course," Posey said. Sipping her hot cocoa, she said, "So, what do you want to do? I'm afraid Raein'll throw a fit if we run around and stuff...Sorry!" {^^;;} Posey reclined back, looking at the fire. It crackling around reminded her of Sizzle's fur. All bright and orange!
