Wouldn't it be great if we could all offer our superfluous guitar related stuff to others in the guild who need/want them? Perhaps we could make this a sticky and people can know what is availiable from guild members.. yeah??

This has been made a sticky considering the interest in the topic.

For Sale (cheap) or trade... (not with GAIA currency!)

1 Line 6 guitar port - plugs your guitar right into your computer and has millions of amp settings as well as all the effects. For more information on what this is, read the review I wrote in the GEAR REVIEW sticky. I know someone can make good use of this. It is a great training tool or just for fun. Only reason why I am getting rid of it is because I haven't used it in over 2 months and it is cluttering up my desk! PM me or post here if you are interested. I paid $99 for it new, but of course I don't expect to make my money back! So, offer away, and I will PM you to finalize the deal.

THANKS!!

This is a great idea, but I have nothing to sell or trade. But I might be able to buy things, but I have very limited cash flow.

I dunno, I might buy it. I know a couple people are waiting for me to post "Eruption" up here somewhere, I only got about $30 though.

Actually, I'm going to be really fair about it. I'm not going to rip people of no nmatter how good i get at handcrafting the guitars. You pay what it costs for all the supplies (wood, electronics, hardware), then i tag on a labor charge, probably a little less than doubling the price.. ill take even less for labor charges on my first projects, because i'll still be learning most of this stuff (however iwill NOT send anyone a ******** up guitar. Any mistakes i may make WILL be fixed 100% before you get your guitar, lol)For example, here is the price for the parts for a standard strat copy (which i WONT make and sell. I don't want to get into any trouble copying copyrighted designs, thus no copies without a bit of changing on my part!)

High end fancy-a** strat:

-Swamp Ash body:$96.88 (there is always a possibility of an eBay find that would allow me to pay much less on a nice Ash body.)
-Curly Maple neck + fretboard:$44.64
-Floyd Rose Trem(and locking nut): $238.10
-Knobs:$7
-3-laminate pickguard: $17.33
-Hot Rod truss rod: $17.16
-Schaller Locking tuners: $70
-3 Fender Custom Shop Texas Special pups: $139.99.
-Having your own handmade guitar to jam with your friends with: Priceless ( blaugh )

That comes to about $631, If i havn't missed anything big. Since this is a trem guitar, with a maple fretboard that needs finishing, I'd charge a bit more for labor.. maybe $400, not sure yet. Thats a bit more than half the price of all the stuff combine, and it all comes out to be about $1050. All in all more than i have personally for a guitar, but a good price for handcrafted quality nonetheless. Now check this out:

Stripped down strat:
-Alder Body Blank:$54.74
-Plain maple neck:$17.90
-Rosewood fingerboard:$11.78
-Fender Texas Special Pups: $139.99
-Gotoh Vintage Trem: $91.65
-Frets:$6
-Knobs:$7
-1 ply pickguard: $14.65
-Hot Rod Truss Rod: $16.17
-Gotoh Locking Tuners: $57.10
-Owning your own INEXPENSIVE handmade guitar to jam with: less expensive but still PRICELESS!

That all comes to be $416. Considerably less than before, plus its got a rosewood fingerboard, so i wont charge for the finishing of that. I'll charge $300. SO thats $716 for a handmade strat. Plus a little for all the stuff i left out like nuts, straplocks, switches, pots, etc.. If you like i can use korean-made parts (that you find on most middle-range asian made guitars, for about half the price of the normal parts.)

So there's your prices.. Its custom so you can have any combination of stuff on it or in it you want. The price is completely reliant on what you want on your guitar.

..Sorry for the long post.

Haha, well, if you really want a handmade guitar as your next and dont want to break the bank, i could probably make you a hardtail guitar of some sort from wood i can find on eBay and korean-made parts (the kind on low to mid range epiphones). The pickups may not be all they're cracked up to be if you go that route though, Ive never personally used any from this particular store.. Heres the lowdown on the price:

-Ash Wood for body from eBay: ~$30-40
-Plain Maple neck blank: $17.90
-Fretboard:$18.36
-Hardtail Strat bridge: $24.95 (Economy tremelo is $39.95 if you must have it)
-(2) Economy Humbuckers: $30
-(4) Strat knobs: $4
-Switch, Pots, Caps, and Jack: $17.93
-Tuning Machines: $24
-Ferrules, strap buttons, nut,: $7
-Pickguard: $14.69
-Truss rod: $18.49
-Finishing Supplies: $40 + $15 for the stain if you want something other than Vintage Amber..

All in all it comes to be approximately $250. Double that for labor fees, including the hand built custom shaped neck. $500

I wouldnt be afraid to let it go for that little since i would be using inexpensive korean made parts, plus korean made pickups that probably arent all they could be. About average price for a second or third guitar. Might wanna opt for some better pickups though.

I wouldn't need a pick guard, and I don't know what the heck a tuning machine is. if it is what i think it is I don't need it. ^_^
I also would like a rosewood neck. If it is possible for you. *Ish can't buy anyway.* this is just for later refrence. ^_^
You never know when I'll get some money cause I don't either. lol

No [ickguard shouldnt be a problem, but it does make it easier for me..
Tuning machines are the tuners on the headstock - you need those! xD
If you mean rosewood fretoard, thats my specialty. No service charge for that!
