I was thinking of making a Heroes mule in Kapow, but I don't know if that would be acceptable. What do you guys think?

there was a Heros comic, so I don't see why it isn't. plus, if that isn't good enough, greer nelson has a mule of that greatest american hero guy.

No, I wasn't. I just dressed as him for a costume contest once. Pym was Ralph Hinkley for awhile though.

It would be fun but based on past precedents, it should be no.

Isn't there a Heroes Graphic novel?

I was thinking about making a Gabriel Gray myself

The previous precendents basically set it so that you have to either have originated in a comic book or be from an extension of a mainstream comic book universe (in the case of Terry McGuinness, Kara In-Ze, Jamie "X-23" Howlett, and Doctor Harleen Quinzell).

It doesn't really matter if there's a graphic novel at this point. Just because Tim Sale does the paintings and there's a comic book in it and it's obviously heavily influced from comics doesn't mean it's a comic.
And just because there's a comic book adaptation doesn't mean it's ok. There are also comic books of the following: Back to the Future, The New Kids on the Block, The Muppet Babies, Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate, Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
So who gets it next? Jean-Luc Picard and his good freind Kermit the Frog?

Absolutely not. I wanted to bring in a mule, that although she was a heavy comic character in the respective title, originated first as a toy and then a cartoon character. I was denied so I'd say no to this as well.

All of the examples you guys have been bringing up are shows and movies that had Comics made after the fact. That includes He-Man, HEROES the TV show and the GRAPHIC NOVEL are hand in hand, not only that but the Graphic Novels give key elements to the actual story line. It is a Comic, it is about people that have superheroes, it is being done by WELL KNOWN comic artists. Every last thing about it screams KAPOW! Just because you did not get your way earlier is no reason to deny this otherwise I would do the same for what happened when Major Victory tried to join. It was said that when he got a Comic then he could join. Heroes is a COMIC and I'm holding you guys up to that. Calm down and have a little fun already.

I mean really, maybe some of you need to relax and let some of us have a little fun now and again. Some of you are way to elitist sometimes. I always thought KAPOW was was supposed to be an outlet for us to have fun with out having to deal with n00bs and Trolls. This is one of the reasons I don't post very much in KAPOW anymore.

Bull. Heroes started off as a TV show. Just because the graphic novel might tie into said show does not mean that the Guild should bend the rules for some new fad television program. Especially since said comic is an online graphic novel.

Here's a little fact. MOTU started off in 81-82. The first DC comic was in 82, but if you want to be technical, their comics started off at the exact same time as the toyline since each figure was packaged with it's own MINI comic book. Mini perhaps but it was still a comic book.

The very last comic series by MOTU was tied into the cartoon series hand in hand. I was still denied entering a character. Why? It did not "originate" in comic book fashion (when technically it did). If someone is allowed to being in one of those TV SHOW characters just because they make comic appearances, then any character that has made a comic appearance by rights should be allowed here in KAPOW.

Why not just bring in Howard the Duck? stare

I say stick with how it is because if the rules will be bent for one, they'd have to be bent for all and it's better to stay the way that it is currently.

Excuse me? Just because some of us think we should stick to the actual RULES that this Guild was founded on you're saying that we're denying you fun? Elitist? Just because there are rules set in place. Pardon me while I rolleyes
