Blunt Imput

I've at this point pretty much laid down the very basis and formation of what this guild is going to become. However, I've still got a lot of work to yet do on it.

What I'd like to know is what you all think of what has been done so far and what still needs to be done. What has beeen done well? What hasn't? What could be done to make it better?

The more ways I can view the same situation, the better I will be able to shape the guild into the best it possibly can.

So go ahead, b***h away. whee

So what is wrong with it you say? Well well well, where do I begin. LOL< I'm just kidding.

For starters, I like how our profiles need to be accepted, our profiles need to be consistant. Otherwise, we have a hypicritical character or a bi-polar character, or maybe even a nasty combination of the too. The only exception for that is if your character is, in fact, bi-polar! If you didn't have a consistant profile then you would be making up as you go along which isn't good. You have to think like your character would in the world he is in, and that is kind of hard when you don't even know your own character. It doesn't just help us make a good profile; it helps us RP better.

Training: I can't really comment on this given the fact that it isn't fully started yet. You obviously have an overall plan for at least the first phase of training. That or are really good at faking it whee

I'll comment in advance, I shall feel bad when we lose alot of people in the guild. Therefore, we must start recruiting!

My two cents for the ranking system is that we should have more. 1. The people that are casual RPers and don't want to have to be Nazi about thiscan still gain rank. Also, it is more realistic to have a semi-authentic chain of command.

Just to throw this in, I am deeply distraught that my...erm....our beloved Himi isn't here...again stare

I am happy that stare we are having some of the same concepts (Bloodlust, etc.) I liked them, it made this place relaxed. I ike how it isn't just RPing and you don't feel overwhelmed with threads, even befre it was remodeled.

Lastly, the Colnol sucks. We should do something about that.

I have a general idea for training. There are three phases. Phase I: Basic fitness and CQC. Phase II: Firearms. Phase III: Rudimentary tactics in a mock urban environment, in base.

Something I'm working on. If anyone knows anyone who would want to come here, please feel free to direct them over here. Note that now you don't nessicarily have to RP here at all, but you may rather just come and post and goof off only.

She has too much crap in her life right now. I don't know if she'll be able to return to a leading position. Recently she just testified against her father in court, to give you an example of how well her life is going.

I'm also trying to make effort to make more things like this, to give people more stuff to do rather than just the main RPs and whatnot. Any suggestions or imput on this would be awesome.

Lastly, the Colonel sucks. We should do something about that.
And there's this new guy. I think his character's name is Kyle. I hate that guy.

Ok Children, stop fighting. Let's not be hasty now!
((I am SOOO going to get ganged up on about this...))
(((Is "Ganged up" even a...wordphrase? Shouldn't it be Gung Up?)))
((((Is "Wordphrase" even a word?))))

1) I also like the profile idea....although I seem to be getting reamed pretty badly. I am guessing [hoping] it is because you expect more from me. ((Truth be told, I can't function as well when sick. And I have been getting sick a lot recently. It pisses me off.))

2) The training is something I can only comment on by reading. If there were some specific thing we had to do BEFORE we started Actual training, like first Signing in to the Bunker log, and then heading outside, then it may work better. From Personal experience, if we are all left to our own mechanisms, we will all post something which contradicts itself in relation to the field, bunker interior, and set-up. If there were a picture it would be even easier, as visualizations always make fact. "Believe what you see" And if the maker draws the picture, then it is "canon"

3) Recruitment. Worst setback, not all recruitees are active. We can't know for certain that they can always come online. Unlike a Real Military, we aren't guarantedd to be there when you call on us. RM has you in bunkers and will have you do what you need to do daily. Online only lets you hope the people get on that day to answer you.

4) I say the ranks are fine. If anything less if better as it will have more meaning, because if you contribute nothing to the guild, you should stay an initiate. you shouldn't be rewarded for laziness. However, I do still agree with a more authentic "Original" ranking system. If we go with what every RW Military uses, it will fall into the trap that so many others have fallen into. Boredom and Familiarity. Make it exotic, or just different. Add more "People" style ranks. Don't make it as professional as the military but don't make it amateur like Terrorists. Have a ranking set-up but change the style.

5) That sucks for Himi....Holy s**t.

Mm... Blunt.

1.) Ranks should be earned. I don't care much for titles, but if you get them it should be for a reason.

2.) There's not much to do. Training is nice, but I find it kinda boring. Maybe that's just me.

3.) I'm hungry.

4.) I guess that's all I had to say.

Well, a picture defeats the purpose of imaging in writing. So far no one has misunderstood the concept of 'blank barracks' and overall has made no real contradictions of appearance for everything. If someone is to do this, they will be repremanded in OOC.

I realize this, and as said, I am trying to work on getting more people into the guild, and if anyone else knows someone who would do well to fit in here, then send them this way.

Meaning part noted. However, I see no reason to make 'exotic' titles, as that it would have no more importance than naming them '1', '2', or '3'.

Noted. This seems to be the general consensus, minus Alucard.

I'm in the process of changing this. I've made three 'extra' threads, and I'll work on making more. If anyone has any ideas of extra threads we could add, or something of that sort, then please feel free to suggest them.

Fenrir Fenix
3.) I'm hungry.
Seconded.

1) Noted.

2) Yea, I just hope we have more than the usual 5 people posting, though.

3) Well, that was more for having Originality more than an importance factor. However, it would be hard to make up names for a military.

The general consensus is that we need fewer ranks than greater.

I've gotten the list to a general idea, but I'm wondering now if there are too many, too little, or if it's right. Go vote there.
PostPosted: Fri Dec 15, 2006 8:19 am

So you all know, I put up a poll in the "Rankings" thread, though I don't know if it actually worked or not seeing as that no one voted on it. I was pretty much wanting to know if the current amount of ranks was good or not. If not, then should we have more or less than currently?

It won't allow me to vote in the rankings thread. confused I see the poll and that there are zero ballots, but nothing I can choose to place my vote.
PostPosted: Sat Dec 16, 2006 7:59 pm

Oh, well I'll try remaking it. Hereafter, vote there.

EDIT: It was because it was locked. While it's unlocked now, don't post there. If you have something to say, please post it here.

It's good enough but I think we have way too many Sergeants. I think you should take away some of them.

You do realise that Sergeants account for about a third of military rank, right?

I understand that but I still think that we should take away at east 1 or so. It's too repetitive.
