Part one The sun melted behind the mountains as if closing the curtains to the bloodshed that had taken place that day. The clouds cleared exposing the moon as if it was spotlight that made clear the massacre. Slowly, one by one the ground speckled with light as thousands of fires lit, burning the victims. Victims who's only crime was that God was not in their favor. If God had willed for them to live he would have not have had them cross paths with this army, my army. there was a tranquility however, as the fires burned in the now deftining silence of night. However the silence didnt last as on by one screams came from the land. Anyone could tell what these screams meant, they marked the sound of a slaughter. They were the screams of innocents. they were the screams of the unarmed. people who did not fight and couldnt even if they wanted to. Only knights knew how to fight. Only those of noble decent were taugh to raise a weapon. and so it was natural that one would be no match for a warrior. No one could stand up to a knight. Only one had the courageousness, the willingness, the stupidity to stand up to the lord and his kingdom.
"Beowulf, we come for you. what will you do now?" i wispered to myself.
I walked through the battlefield as i pulled my blood stained sword from the back of a boy, to young to be called a man. I wiped my blade clean as i sheathed my weapon. I looked around as my my men gathered the women and children from their houses as the rest pillaged and gathered supplies for the trip. I walked throught the field, fires burning around me as i made my way to the tent.
"My lord!" One of the soldiers rang out. He was tall and wore the the same mark as the rest of us. A dark black crest with a red cross, the crest worn by all the dark knights of the king. He stood with his men who had the women and children on their knee's. They whimpered like abused dogs. I found myself hating them. I often wondered if they knew it was Gods will if they would still feel the way they did, scared and pathetic. Even the smell of the captives discusted me as I made my way to the knight.
"My lord, what of the survivors?" He asked.
"There are no survivors." I said as i turned, giving one last look at the pitiful excuses for human beings. I made my way to my horse. Pulling myself onto his back i made one last glance at the days confrontation. Death was all around, as far as the eye could see. I flinched as the screams rang out from the would be prisoners, thus concluding the days slaughter.
"I am what i am. Somebody has to be." I said through an exhaled breath as i rode back to camp.
God made us killers. We serve the king and therefor do Gods work. We were lost without our lord, that is until God willed our lord to save us. Beowolf though, stands to opose our king, our God, and everything that we stand for. We crusade to stop the heresy Beowolf is spreading. To fail is to envite dout into the people's hearts and dout is what will destroy us. I will not have this. And so i quest to purify this heresy and the only retribution is death. We march now to the land of the geats where Beowolf lies. We travel now to the east from oasis to oasis. An army marches on its stomach and traveling without a constant supply of water and food can make the difference between a fatal loss and a swift victory. I dismounted my horse as i made my way throught my ranks to the camp. There waited my most trusted and experienced generals and it is there that we will discuss the best route to Beowolfs castle where we will extinguish the flames of heresy.

Part two The sun started to rise. The morning was clear and the birds chirped as if nothing had happened the night before. It almost seems like a dream now when you look at the horizon on this perfect morning. The sun rises over the mountains as my knights assemble and make haste to Islan, the last city between the lords kingdom and our destination, the location where Beowolf lies. I looked up as the sun rose into the sky. " The sun is red. there has been bloodshed in these lands." I said under my breath as we marched into toward the city.
The sun reflects of the city walls as we aproach the city. The city walls greeted us with their towering size. The size of these walls would be no defense against any size army. Its as if they were built to keep the citizens in rather than to protect them. I thought as we marched past the gates of the city. The city echoed with the sounds of our arival. The city was empty. The only signs of life ever existing here were the dried blood trails. It looked as if a sea of blood had once ocupied this city. The horses were reluctant to travel into the city to investigate so I divided my army, half stayed with the horses while the other half marched along side me as we ventured into the heart of the city. The town was built into the side of mt. Islan, named for its great size. the bloodtrail stopped at the edge of the mountain. I looked up at the mountain wonder whether this was where the blood ended or started. I sent a scout up to the top of the mountain to further investigate. however, upon my order the earth shook, or at least thats what we thought untill we had realized that it was only the mountain that was shifting. The men stepped back not sure what to make of the situation as the mountain rose. loosening the rock and separating the earth from body. huge chunks of rock and earth fell from the moutain as it rose into the sky. After the dirt had settled we stood, not in the presence of mount colossus, but insteat the presence of a gaint. The mountain had crubbled underneath the gaint, or rather it seemed as though there no mountain to begin with. As if it was all just a blanket made of earth and time that had covered this slumbering giant. The colossus stood hovering over us turning day to night with its huge size. The only visible sight before our eyes adjusted were its eyes. The eyes of the gaint burned like fire.
"What in gods name!" The sodiers cried as they stared in disbelief at the colossus. The colossus boomed as it moved, making the earth quake with every step it took. We stood in awe as it came. Those eyes, they burned with hate. There was no dout in anyones mind what this giants intentions were. So it came, it marched for us while we stood, frozen in our stance. We all were surpiresed when the first blow came, even though we all saw it coming. the gaint pulled back his tremendous sword and with one swift blow he crushed fifty men underneath it. Suddenly the reality of the situation had sunk in. I called forth my bravest men as we made our way to the gaiant on foot, running.
" We will take this giant! God wills it!" I yelled. My words echoed through the soldiers ranks as they ran toward the gaiant, their shinning swords reflecting the sun.
"God wills it!" My army ran toward the gaiant as blow after blow the gaiant struck down scores of men with his sword. We could do nothing but keep going and hoping that the sword would not claim our life as we ran with all we had in us to the base of the gaiant, his feet the size of barns. I ran as I climbed upon the feet. Climbing up the leg of the giant i looked around in disbelief as i found myself being the only one who had made it to the base of the colossus. I had no time to mourn however as i climbed the gaints back and onto its head. The gaint squirmed and shook, but it was over for the giant as soon as i climbed onto his foot. I pulled myself to the top of its head and with both hands on my sword I struck the giant with all my strenght. At first the giant seemed unfazed taking three more steps before collapsing, crashing upon the city and taking half the buildings with him. i gripped onto the colosusses hair with all my strengh as i braced myself for the fall.
"My lord! What happened!" Yelled one of my knights as i walked out of the smoke from the middle of the city. I walked up to the only remaining knights. I walked, covered in blood, to my horse. I shook my head as if signaling that there was nothing to say to my knights. My army has been halved.
"We march." I said.
"To where?" A knight rang out.
"We march to purge this world of evil." I said as i turned my horse and started out of the city and the sun set as we marched out of the city and onto our next destination.

part three The sun rose lighting the Beowulf castle with my men there to greet it. This is where beowolf lies. My army stood in formation, with me at its front. I pulled forward as i faced my men. I walked up and down the line. Knowing that we'd be lucky if half of us would still be standing when night came.
"My people, sons and daughters of the king. For many years we have been a broken nation." My voice boomed across the land and through my ranks.
"For years we were oppressed and concoured by those who oppose us! Ten years ago the king asked for a chance, and that chance was granted by you. That time was granted by you! With the time you have given him, he have rebuilt our nation! He have rebuilt our strenght, and he have rebuilt our pride! And on this day, those driven to divide us will hear our call! On this day we shall act as one and be ignore no more!" I yelled pulling my sword from its sheath.
My army did the same, as if i was looking into a thousand mirrors. I turned facing the castle and the opposing army. I held my sword firmly as the gates grinded to life and the temming masses came out from the fortress. Beowulfs men poured out of the castle, a sea of men and armor. The mass soon took shape outside the castle as the the size of his followers soon sank in. Over a million sodiers stood in our path. Just one glance at my general and it was aparant that he had soiled himself. urine dripped down his legs and down the horse. Our lives will end this day and we all knew it. I shook the fear from my body as i marched forward slowly, my men followed as we picked up pace. The enemy waited for no one as they to marched toward us with Beowulf at their lead. Up till now i had never seen Beowulf yet it was apparant who he was. He had a heavenly aura around him. his white armor and golden mail shone bright letting everyone on the battlefield know where he was. He was my target, the only one that mattered to me. The armys ran full speed toward eachother. There was a moments silence before the spears cracked and sheilds boomed. Men were thrown from their horses and screams cried out. I was instantly knocked off my horse, losing sight of Beowulf. I found myself in the middle of the battle, life vanishing before me left and right. I hacked my way through man after man trying to find the legendary fighter. I slaughtered a thousand men before his golden mail cought my eye. I was instantly send into a furry as i desperatly sliced my way through to him. I must survive just a little longer i told myself. Only one more has to die today.
I was tearing a man in half with my sword when it hit me. The spear was launched into my side like the devil himself had cut me and planted his death tree inside me. I fell to my knees as the warrior smiled as he dug his spear deeper into my side. I cringed as the sun shinned showing me beowulf once more and reminding me why i fight. The rage built inside as i took my sword and with one hand slice the spearmans head clean off. I got up breaking the spear off inside me. If nothing else, this would be the death of me. I climbed to my feet using my sword as a brace as i made my way to beowulf, finaly i would get my chance. Bowulf caught one of my men by the head with his hand, crushing it like a cherry. He turned and our eyes locked. We both knew that this battle would not end so long as we both lived.
We ran toward eachother swords held high dying to meet eachother as we met alone in the crowd. Almost suddenly our sharpened swords shined in the sun as they met slashing and slicing. Everytime our swords met i felt as if my arms were gunna be ripped from their sockets if i was hit again. And everytime i stood firm, however i was soon on the defensive. Is this what i came for. Is this how my life will end, by the hands of a heratic. A flood of tears pourd from my eyes as i defended myself from the volly of attacks. Tears not of pain, but sorrow. Knowing that your life is at an end, not being able to take anything back, not being able to right the wrongs. Not being able to bring back the inocent. I held my sword high as i was knocked to the ground by his blows, his sword bashing and banging before finaly breaking my sword. Metal clanked and splintered as blood splashed out as flesh and meat was torn from my shoulder. I growled from the pain as i swung low slicing my enemies thigh. To my dismay he stood like a rock. He cringed and as i swung again for his head he stopped my broken sword. He stopped it with not a blade, but with his bare hand. His fist wrapped around my shattered sword as blood trickled down my blade as i stared wide eyed at him. My time was over. He took my sword from my own hand stabbing me in the chest. I screamed but only blood came out. I felt no pain as i looked around myself one last time as my life faded away, wondering if the hell that awaited me could be any worse.
