The sun was bright today. He knew it. He could just feel the heat radiating off his body, his white fur soaking up the blessed sun. Although the land was dark to the small child, he still could sense what was around him. You see, those pale eyes he were born with once captured the sight that most take for granted of, but the pink clawmark scars tell a story.
That was a horrid day. The day his sight and his mother disappeared. The scent of blood would forever fill his nostrils, the intense noise of his 7 other siblings crying made him remember.
Kip, named after his mother by his father, had rose to his feet, his paws shifting to feel around. He was thirsty. The moist ground beneath him would tell him how far he was from the closest watering hole.

His still growing form was making its way towards the watering hole as well. He'd been off again, prolonging his return to his childhood home. Xanthus's black coat seemed to just soak up the heat, he didnt favorite it at all, it was more of a bother on days like theses he thought.
A ruffle in the grass caught his attention, maybe a snack he thought as his curiousity got the best of him. He padded towards the movement, as well as towards an unknown scent. He'd never learn would he. Thats when he spied the ivory coated cub, he tilted his head to the side then glanced around. Where was its mother. He stood there, silent for a long moment.

Where was his mother. Hah, good question for Kip if the other had asked him.
"Please don't just stand there watching." The young one said quietly, his voidless eyes staring bearing, away from the onlooker. "It's rather rude to stare, and not introduce oneself." Kipofu murmured, looking over his shoulder, but still not focusing on the prepertraitor. He no longer feared much, living without a mother thaat was murdered did that. Oh, how he missed her so.

"Not really staring small one. Just, unsure if Im willing to risk my neck from an angry mother.." He padded forward now, he didnt smell of strong female scent on the cub, which meant, he was motherless.
"I'm Xanthus. Who might you be?" he watched the cub closer. It appeared he couldnt see, a blind, motherless cub. Damn the fates, he snorted faintly as he watched over the small one.
